Ok, get woke up by the phone. 14 hours at work and then 2 hours sleep, not happy. However when I googled the number since it is not identified I got this site as well. Let me begin here. My son is a student in Chicago, we pay his utilities, they are in mine and my husband's name. So, even though I sent the boy the money to pay this bill, apparently he did not, (I will hurt him later), anyway after reading these remarks, I figured since there is indeed a phishing scam associated with ComEd that I should just call them direct. I did, I paid the bill, I fussed at them because there is an additional charge to pay your bill, but yes this is an outsourced company, hired by ComEd for bill pay. If you are not comfortable paying them, call 800-334-7661. That i s ComEd, just be warned if you pay your bill over the phone they charge you an additional $2.50. Now THAT is a rip-off!

THIS IS NOT ComEd!!!! This is a scam that ComEd is aware of. Our account is not past due, but these scam artists call and threaten to shut off your electricity if you do not provide your social security number and use their prepaid Visa cards to pay your electricity bill.

I received a call from that number one day. The caller hung up without leaving a message. I recei ed a call the next day as well and there was a robotic voice mail message left indicating that "This is COM Ed trying to reach "name of an individual" (not mine) looking for payment of a bill. The message indicated that service wouold be shut off in 5 days if payment was not remitte.
