We were told that our business was supporting 'Child Find Manitoba" with the purchase of an ad but when we found out it was not child find we told them we would not pay the ad in  2010 (and we had bought/paid for ads with them for 5 previous years) and they have been harassing us since. I have been called a bi***, threatened and swore at by the callers from cedar publishing. Now they are calling and saying they are a credit agency "Canadian Credit Agency" and faxing us legal looking documents threatening legal action if we do not pay.
And the very bottom of the collection letter they sign off with "Govern Yourself Accordingly" LOL!!!!!
DO NOT PAY!!!!!

Canadian Credit Management is Cedar Publishing pretending to be a collection agency in order to scare you into paying an invoice for advertising that you were likely tricked into. They like to call to verify your mailing info and next thing you have a surprise invoice over your fax. Then the non-stop collection calls begin. Of course they want to harrass you until you pay them to get rid of them. If that doesn't work they try to scare you into paying. DO NOT PAY!!! It's the only way to get them to give up.

Called me saying they work for Canadian Credit Management which again is this same company as all the other people calling me from Cedar. Screamed at me, would not provide and website address for the company.I have dealt with a real credit company years ago and they are all very professional, calm etc. This woman immediately flipped out and just screamed at me and when confronted with questions about validating their business, she just screamed more "WE DON"T HAVE A WEBSITE!!!!!" We placed an ad in the "child find" magazine three years ago and when we found out it was a scam we told them we were not paying. Every time they get a new employee they call us trying to collect. I have been called so many vulgar names by staff and been threatened numerous times

Brandy has been calling me from this number for many months and claims to be looking for Barry and leaving messages on my voicmail. She never id's the company she is with and always sounds "urgent". I finally had enough and called back, only to have her scream at me for not calling her back sooner and that she was really looking for a Terry. I hung up. My first impluse was to call back and complain, but now I'm glad I didn't. I imagine the "manager" would have tried to scam me out of personal info, or a commitment into what ever scam they are working on now. SCAM SCAM SCAM!

Brandy at Canadian Missing Magazine, She is alot of different companies.. She said at first she wasn't Cedar Publishing when I asked her then when I said I googled the # that it came up with cedar publishing and ALOT of different companies.. she was like "oh ya we are them too".. SCAM!!!!!

These guys want you to place ads with thier company and they will just fax over an invoice with out your consent of the ad and then they call and call and call harrassing you for money... oh and FAX you a million times...

this is what was left on my work phone message "My name is Shelley and my number is 1-888-454-3349", so, I figured it had to do with work. I called the number and actually forget what the guy said the "company" name was, but it wasn't Child Find or Cedar Publishing, but it was a publishing of some sort...I said, I'm looking for a Shelley but I have no idea who you people are...he said, it's okay, she'll tell you, I'll just put you through...and then the line didn't pick up after how many rings.

Don't pick up.... as soon as they get your info, they will fax you and then tell you that the fax is not an "approval" fax but that you have already said "yes" to advertising.  Run as fast as you can.

It was a call about Child Find Magazine.  I have not heard of them.  Are they a reputable organization?
