To See the Truth Exposed About Wingspan Portfolio Advisors and their dirty, unethical, racist, fraudster managers Justin Belter, Steve Horne, Jason Dickard, Kevin Conn and Melanie Pellegrino, check out this blog which shows pictures of these idiots with details about their management styles and corrupt practices.

They are the TOP BRASS at Wingspan Portfolio Advisors and are pathetic at best at their jobs. The company is one of the worse places I have EVER worked for. It has also been sued for discrimination against blacks and muslims.

If you are dealing with Wingspan Portfolio Advisors, be careful with them. Tape all calls if you can. Send everything in certified mail.

Bank of America And Wingspan Portfolio Advisors Conspired to Defraud BOA Customers; Lied About Loan Documentation; Forced Customers into Foreclosure Charlotte, North Carolina

*UPDATE EX-employee responds: Melanie Pellegrino acted rude

I just want to say I am sorry to all of the Bank of America mortgage holders who had the misfortune of being assigned to one of the representatives of Wingspan Portfolio Advisors, when you were trying to keep your homes and avoid foreclosure. I was a previous employee of Wingspan Portfolio Advisors.  Wingspan Portfolio Advisors, whose CEO is Steve Horne, was hired by Bank of America to work as a third party vendor under the "guise" of Bank of America and to assist Bank of America mortgage holders with their loan modifications and to assist them with trying to avoid foreclosure.

I was shocked to see that managers at Wingspan Portfolio Advisors, specifically Justin Belter, Melanie Pellegrino, Kevin Conn who were all top brass openly told employees to tell Bank of America customers who questioned if we indeed held the original notes to their loans that we "verified" that we indeed held the original notes when in fact this simply was not true. Bank of America did not have a majority of the original notes to the loans that I worked on. We only had a digital copy which cannot be used in courts to verify loan ownership.

One could say its because these "managers" Melanie Pellegrino, Kevin Conn, and Justin Belter had no mortgage experience and were hired on at just a few dollars above minimum wage before they worked their way into management by becoming favorites of the owner, but that is simply no excuse. Their lack of knowledge about the mortgage modification process does not condone for their lack of morals and lack of character in forcing employees to defraud customers. This lack of knowledge doesn't condone for what these so called "Managers" did to workers and employees. How they ruined lives. Not just those of who were forced into foreclosure but of those who came to work for the company expecting fair treatment.

Employees were threatened with termination if they did not follow these orders. Employees were also told to make up loan information as the Bank of America system was so spotty and there were huge gaps inside the customers loan histories. Apparently when someone would quit Bank of America or be assigned, the files they were working on would sit untouched for months. Even if this person was right in the middle of a loan modification to help someone avoid foreclosure. We were not allowed to inform customers of this and we would be forced by managers Melanie Pellegrino, Kevin Conn and Justin Belter to lie. This was under the permission of Bank of America VP's who were on site and were fully aware of what we were doing. This was wrong.

The CEO of Bank of America is Brian T. Moynihan and a letter was sent to Mr. Moynihan informing him of what was going on. Nothing happened. However, now state and Federal agencies have stepped in to correct a lot of the utter BS that Bank of America and its shady contractor Wingspan Portfolio Advisors, LLC put people through.

The employees of Wingspan Portfolio Advisors who took issue to lying to Bank of America customers were all terminated. Steve Horne, the CEO, surrounded himself with Yes Men, and he gave them unprecedented powers so that they could individually and without repercussions harrass and terminate employees who took issue with these obviously illegal and fraudulent orders.

Both companies, Bank of America and Wingspan Portfolio Advisors, LLC should be sued. And both companies are at present being sued.

Check out this article by ABC News regarding the BBB and how it lets companies pay them for good grades. The BBB is being investigated by CT Attorney General. Some of the companies the BBB gave A grades to are Stormfront which is a white supremacist website and HAMAS a terrorist organization.

Watch the Clip below:

http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/business-bureau ... 43#.UE91tI1lT8k

The company changed "Grades" and removed complaints overnight for companies who paid the fee. The investigation is very thorough.

WingSpan still sucks in my opinion as a company though. They treat most of their employees, other than the coveted "Few" like crap and the company is filled with Nepotism and favoritism. The HR "Department"..lol.. (It's just one person who is probably related to Mgmt) gives the "appearance" of fairness but it is not fair in my estimation.

You must be one of the coveted few. I lost ALL respect for Wingspan AND Bank of America for doing business with them when I worked there. I even told my sister to SUE BOA because I found out how fraudulent the company, in my estimation, operated from working at Wingspan.

Any company that will do business with unethical people is itself an unethical business. (I didn't name names in this last sentence but that is my general opinion).

I also worked for Wingspan and our experiences couldn't be more different. Perhaps the management has changed. Not too long ago Wingspan's management was very highschoolish, vindictive and dirty. This is what I experienced only. Also I know plenty of others who have the same experience. They operated in a dirty, cut throat fashion and after I left Wingspan I had a very jaded view of Corporate America. All of Corporate America. Also, I should remind you that Enron and other companies that were busted and sued for unethical acts were LEADERS in their industries at one time.

Bad management, which acts unethically and not in good faith with its employees, who tells their employees to LIE (as in my case) and who stands and hides their hands, who gang up on employees (as I have seen happen) and who racially profiles employees and targets employees due to religion or race, can bring down a company.

WingSpan was AWFUL. These people have legitimate concerns.

Terror Group Gets 'A' Rating From Better Business Bureau?

By JOSEPH RHEE and BRIAN ROSS (@brianross)
Nov. 12, 2010
The Better Business Bureau, one of the country's best known consumer watchdog groups, is being accused by business owners of running a "pay for play" scheme in which A plus ratings are awarded to those who pay membership fees, and F ratings used to punish those who don't.

To prove the point, a group of Los Angeles business owners paid $425 to the Better Business Bureau and were able to obtain an A minus grade for a non-existent company called Hamas, named after the Middle Eastern terror group.

"Right now, this rating system is really unworthy of consumer trust or confidence," said Connecticut attorney general Richard Blumenthal in an interview to be broadcast as part of an ABC News investigation airing tonight on 20/20.

In an official demand letter sent to the national headquarters of the Better Business Bureau Thursday, Blumenthal called on the BBB to stop using its grading system, which he said was "potentially harmful and misleading" to consumers.

Click Here To Read Blumenthal's Letter

"The BBB accreditation and the BBB ratings systems is not about generating money," said BBB national president and CEO Steve Cox. He said the A minus grade for Hamas was given in error. "Plain and simple, we made a mistake," Cox told ABC News.

Errors seem to abound at the Better Business Bureau. As reported by an anonymous blogger the BBB also awarded an A minus rating to a non-existent sushi restaurant in Santa Ana, California and an A plus to a skinhead, neo-Nazi web site called Stormfront.

Each listing cost $425.

"They ran the credit card and within 12 hours they were an approved, accredited member," said the anonymous blogger, who runs a site called bbbroundup.com.

"They're more interested in the money than their credibility," he said.

The BBB's Cox said the three listings were all mistakes made by sales people.

"That's an inaccurate statement that business people are able to buy A's," Cox said. "We have more than 500,000 non-accredited businesses who have A ratings," he added.

Better Business Bureau: Pay for Play?

Yet, as part of the ABC News investigation, an ABC News producer with a camera was present as two small business owners in Los Angeles were told by Better Business Bureau tele-marketers that their grades of C could be raised to A plus if they paid $395 membership fees.

Terri Hartman, the manager of a Los Angeles antique fixtures store, Liz's Antique Hardware, was told only a payment could change her grade, based on one old complaint that had already been resolved.

"So, if I don't pay, even though the complaint has been resolved, I still have a C rating?"

Hartman then read off her credit card number and the next business day the C grade was replaced with an A plus, and the one complaint was wiped off the record.

In a second case, Carmen Tellez, the owner of a company that provides clowns for parties was also told she had to pay to fix her C- grade, based on a two-year old complaint that she says had already been resolved.

The C minus became an A plus the very next day after she provided her credit card number for the $395 charge.

"If I'm paying for a grade, then how are the customers supposed to really trust the Better Business Bureau?" she asked.

Cox said the examples provided by ABC News were violations of sales policy and not a standard way of doing business.

"The BBB is not operating fraudulently," Cox said.

In his demand letter to the BBB, the Connecticut attorney general said, "I am deeply concerned that certain BBB practices threaten its reputation and effectiveness as a reliable resource for consumers."

Allison Southwick, media relations manager for the BBB, said that the BBB had worked with Attorneys General across the country, including Blumenthal, to fight fraud. "We disagree with his characterization that BBB does not adequately disclose the fact that Accredited Businesses financially support BBB," said Southwick. "However, we are always interested in hearing from our partners in consumer advocacy and are pleased to accept constructive feedback from his office and other consumer advocates."

"We have made good progress in working with his office on these issues, and anticipate that we will satisfactorily address his concerns," said Southwick.

Better Business Bureau Grading System

The Better Business Bureau, a non-profit group that began 98 years ago, instituted its A plus through F grading system just two years ago, replacing a "satisfactory/unsatisfactory" ratings system.

One of the first to raise concerns about the new grading system was New York Congressman Anthony Weiner. Weiner was investigating complaints to his office about the popular precious metals dealer Goldine. Some customers had alleged they were ripped off after responding to Goldline's television ads, which appear in heavy circulation during conservative talk radio and television programs.

Goldline responded to Weiner's criticism in part by pointing to the stamp of approval the company had received from one of the nation's most respected consumer groups.

"We are proud to be rated A+ from the Better Business Bureau," Goldline VP Scott Carter said at a congressional hearing convened by Weiner in September.

Weiner told ABC News he considered Goldline's A plus grade to be suspect.

Weiner and other critics say they believe the BBB has used the new grading system as part of an extensive tele-marketing campaign to increase membership and revenue.

Ritz-Carlton, Wolfgang Puck Get Fs

An ABC NEWS examination of filings with the federal government revealed that at least 25 of the Better Business Bureau's top officers had salaries in excess of $100,000.

The head of the Los Angeles Better Business Bureau, William Mitchell, was paid more than $400,000, according to the Better business Bureau.

"I think the Better Business Bureau changed course and lost its way by adopting a system of pay to play that maybe enhanced its revenues but also greatly diminished its credibility and honesty," said attorney general Blumenthal, who was elected to the United States Senate from Connecticut last week.

"It's very troubling and it could be illegal because the failure to disclose to consumers could well be deceptive and misleading," he added.

The ABC News investigation found numerous examples of well-known companies that are not members of the Better Business Bureau being branded with F grades, often apparently based on scant evidence or a small number of complaints.

The five-star Ritz Carlton Hotel in Boston was given a F rating after only two complaints.

"A million customers served, two complaints resulting in an F rating, seems to be somewhat unusual, to say the least, " hotel general manager Erwin Schinnerl told WCVB-TV in Boston.

Celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck told ABC News that parts of his food and restaurant empire have received an F grade because he refused to pay to join the Better Business Bureau.

CLICK HERE to follow the ABC News Investigative Team and Brian Ross on Facebook and join in on the discussion.

"You know, if you become a member, you're sure to get an A, but if you don't pay, it's very difficult to get an A," said Puck, who has been a regular on the ABC News program "Good Morning America" since 1986.

"I think where you have to join an organization to get a good grade is wrong," Puck said.

I use to work for Wingspan Portfolio Advisors. Its a small company located in Carrollton, TX. I can tell you that they had a project where they handled overflow modification and foreclosure accounts for Bank of America. It was one of the worst companies I EVER worked for. The management in my opinion was awful and very unethical and inexperienced. What would happen is that at a certain time each night the caller ID would stop showing Bank of America and would roll over to Wingspan. Yet there was mandatory overtime and even with this being the case the stupid mgmt would have employees (they would never do it themselves) call customers "KNOWING" The caller ID would show a different name than Bank of America even though we were telling customers we were Bank of America.

The company is owned by Steve Horne and they treated employees (everyone who wasn't white that is) in my sincere opinion, like S**T. Look up their the management of Wingspan's Linkedin pages. Look up Justin Belter and Melanie Pellegrino and others and they all lied about their education qualifications as well as their experience. I heard from the Director over Mr. Justin Belter that he started working for WIngspan with NO experience in anything and making only $10 bucks an hour and on his Linkedin Page he shows he was a Regional Sales manager for "Go Industries".. Which is probably a site he created. You can tell the company must be behind the Linkedin pages because all the pictures are professional grade and all of their so called "qualifications" are exaggerated. Melanie Pellegrino was the worst referring to black employees as "roaches" and many, MANY people quit. It was even rumored that Justin Belter called a black team lead the "N-Word" forcing the team lead to lose his temper and quit.

Bank of America's system was so messed up. Missing records, and we were all told to inform customers we had the original signed documents even though we did not.The company in my opinion would do "anything" for a buck. I have never felt so mistreated.

In my opinion, YES, the company IS a FRAUD.

As someone who works for Wingspan (and NOT in a fancy, high profile position), I assure you it's a legitimate company.  They have large contracts with companies like B of A and hire mod processors on their behalf.  There's nothing illegal about it.  The people who call technically work for B of A, and are simply using the facilities and services of Wingspan. Also, Steve HORN owns the company, and it's definitely NOT just a bunch of lawyers.  These are legitimate business owners.  The BBB has it right.

Doreen has nothing to do with "fraudulent" operation.  She was a temporary employee, for a matter of weeks, and was reading off of a pre-written script.  It is exceedingly careless to slander the name of someone who was just doing her job.  Doreen Stecker has no current affiliation with Wingspan whatsoever and never had anything to do with the company's operations.
Purplemskriss, it is very ignorant to make allegations against someone when you have such limited information.  I understand that you probably never considered that Doreen was merely acting as an agent for Wingspan because she was between positions in her given profession, but you need to be more careful before you accuse people of fraud.  Moreover, it is rather upsetting that you fail to comprehend that she has transitioned back into her profession as a healthcare practitioner while you attempt to distort her character and career.
