Received a message last night about 1:37 am in the morning, mountain time.   Tryed to call the 888 460 8068, no one answered reply back "stop"

They sent me a txt message with this number on how to claim my $250 gift card.  I called and I was told that I'd be getting 3 magazine subscriptions for free + $250 gift card.  Only thing was I had to pay for a fourth magazine subscription WEEKLY.  He gave me a price of $3.89/wk for 60 months.  Um...simple math reveals that $3.89*60 months*4 wks (minimum)per month = $933.60...Yeah, totally not worth it.  I told him that was not a deal and he thanked me for my time.

I got the text today. I called the 888 number and a woman answered (sounded like a bank of phones). When I questioned what the card was for she said it was for the Online Shopping Mall. I told her I didn't sign up for anything and she said it could have been a survey that had been filled out, something on Facebook, or something of that nature. I thanked her and hung up, then replied STOP to the text. (?????)

Just got a text from this number thanking me for visiting there site, what ever site that is,." call this number to claim your $250.00 Gift card! Reply STOP to opt out. Thank you for your interest. Reply STOP for DNC."

Know it's got to be a scam...just texted STOP back...

Got same text to get a $250 gift card. It is all BS. The originator (I think) is at the 202 number the text came from. That is Beltsville DC.  It is just another scam. Be careful ppl of anyone who asks for personal info on the phone..or require you to make purchases for more products.   Telemarketing at it's best.

reply back with the word STOP otherwise you will be bothered by them again. I called back and sent text as well...you have to purchase 3 magazines in order to receive the free online gift card..i would not trust the company and have no plans on it...the employees were very un friendly and did not act professional at all.

I just recently got the text, called them back...they were really rude, short with me...started asking personal questions and i asked what is this company i am not giving out any information he said you are now put in a drawing to receive a free gift card we will call you if you won, said thank you and hung up...reply back in text saying STOP...because i later called back after i was hung up on and the next man was rude as well and said you have to purchase 3 magazines in order to receive the free online gift card....don't do it if i was you.

This is an old a tired scam. Don't try to run it on here just because this site is making it hard for you to trick people on the phone. OK?

i got the same text.  i called and let it ring for what seemed like forever but finally someone answered... they want you to pay less than $4 a month to get 4 magazines of your choice.  they send you the gift card.  it was actually a good hookup because they had alot of good magazines for an extremely low price and my husband loves the national geographic subscription for such a low price.  if your interested in getting some magazines its a good thing.  if not just leave it alone.  but its not a scam.  its really just a hookup.

Did any of you click on anything recently that said 'Congratulations you're our x (number) visitor & you won a $1000 gift card to Best Buy?' (other options were a free ipad or a free Apple laptop). Then you had to fill out a form of required info including your phone number. But in order to collect, you had to agree to sign up to this 'club' that charged your cell phone bill $9.99/mo. Of course I did not sign up, and abandoned the page, but I had already entered my phone number, thinking I had won something. When I left the page, I was really bothered that they already had my info & thought the spam would probably begin. Now here it is. I got one of these texts too. I believe this is how these people are getting our numbers and if you text STOP back, it will probably charge you something.

I received the same text but when I call all I get is a busy signal~ I also too thinks its a scam! Read other posts on other sites and they said when they got thru to someone they asked for credit card info to buy magazines and then when they say no the people on the other line start screaming profanities and hung up on them! Definitely a scam!!

I got the same text on 04/18 and it came from (310)402-4731. Doesn't make any sense to me, but seems like a scam.

On 4/13, I received a text message that said "Thank you for visiting our site call 8884608068 to claim your $250 gift card.  STOP to opt out.  Thank you for your interest.  Reply STOP for DNC."

They don't identify themselves and I did not call it back.  The text came from (561) 213-8265, and I didn't bother to call that number either.

Same exact thing here, I just never replied and they never texted again..

I just got a call from 786-218-2169 my phone said it was from houston texas.  I called it back because I just recently got a new number that apparantly used to belong to some drug dealer called breeze so I call back his costumers to say he has a new number so they leave me alone.  Anyway, after calling it back I got some hispanic lady that did not seem to know english and then from that number got the 888-460-8068 text.

So, I dont know what the hell scam it is but it seems to involve illegal immigrants?????

This site is for sharing information about phone calls.  Your scammer does not own this site.  They probably don't even read here.  You need to find a different way to contact them.

Got the same text... I looked up the number the text was from (305-336-9508) and it's the DNC, Democratic National Committee... so, basically a junk text.

i got the same txt from the number, and recently i "won a gift card from walmart" while i was online with my wii

it got the same exact txt... i entered to a value city thing so i thought thats what it was, but nobody answered... i replied... stop just in case figged it it was them id get an email as well or something...

i got the text too..i called and no one answered it was just nothing but beeps...

I got a text too. Didn't check into it...i never visited any site. I suppose the do not call list doesn't apply to text messages. It says if you dont want the messages text back STOP but I dont think I am going to do anything.

kept getting messages that I had won $250 shopping spree,gift cards etc. sure it is a scam as I did not register for this and they do no tell who it is.
