Sarah Brock called to inform us they were going to cancel our service with infous411 and argued with me that we owe them money.  They did this to us last year, but their name was Data Source.  Their phone number is 866-879-1583.

They called me then when I told them I wasn't interested, they sent a "Debt Reduction Notice" to my address. &*%#@#@  Looked legal, then I saw the number 888-464-9191 and realized they are running the same scam only by mail.

I received a bill from INFO US411 FOR 599.00 AND THEY WERE ACTUALLY PLAYING A TAPE of our conversation. They verified my address and said that they were sending me something on mail. Then they started harassing me for the bill and were extremely rude and threatening to me to my staff. Can someone tell me where to report these people.

Got a call from Info US 411 about a bill of $499 regarding a service I never requested.  They said that I innitiated thier services a year and a half ago.  I asked them to send me the original agreement, but they stated that they never had one because the dollar amount was only $499; thus there was no contract necessary.  They stated they had a recording of the phone call, which I asked for them to send me.  The recording was me informing them that Iwas the office mgr.and I did not order this servie and did not authorizethis agreement.  I believe this is a scam, and I have already contacted the attorney generals offices of both Florida and Massachusetts.  The attorney generals office advised me to send them a certified letter, to cease any further contact.  I have done that and I am now ignoring all addition forms of communication.

Just got into a heated debate with a guy from this company who called my cell phone.

He says I owe $700+ for "services that were already rendered" but that he would cancel future services immediately. That's including late fees. I said nobody at our company ever authorized these services and he claimed he would send me a recording that proves otherwise.

Then he asked how I would like to pay for my past balance and where he should send the cancellation notice. I said, "I'm not paying any past balance but you're welcome to send me the invoice so I can show my lawyer."

Then there was a pause, and he continued with, "But sir, we need to collect the past balance for services that have already been rendered."

I was VERY careful not to give "yes" or "no" responses, because I think they're copying and pasting those responses into their recordings.

I said, "I'm not just going to pay for some service over the phone that I've never heard of." Then I mentioned how over the past year, I have NEVER received a single lead / hit from them on my website and fail to see how their services could be worth $700. He claimed it was a hard book and told me which page number number our listing was on.

I told him there was no way I would EVER sign up for a hard book in this day and age.

Again, I told him he's welcome to send me the invoice and recording and that we would go from there. He eventually said, "okay, then that's what we'll do" and hung up.

If they ever call again, I'm just going to say "Sorry not interested" and hang up. I can just imagine them taking recordings of my voice and placing them after their own script...

"Do you authorize us to include your name in our directory for $499 plus possible late charges?"
"Yes."

I have had the same experience as others who have posted the complaint.
I'm no attorney, but I wonder by cancelling the service we are implying that we had it in the first place.  Like everyone else, I never agreed to any service, but I cancelled it anyway so at least I didn't have an issue going forward.
I am not paying a cent of this invoice (I have received 3 or 4...with a late payment charge to boot).

Call from InfoUS411 trying to collect a bill of 499.00.  They have been calling me for several months now and will not stop.  I asked them to provide the detailed vioce recording of me agreeing to service....Wouldn't you know they don't keep those tapes.  However they did keep one recording one month ago of me confirming my mailing adress really nothing more than that.  I just put a call into my attorney to see if he could do anything about this...Anyone interested in a large suit, please email me at BeattiePhoto@aol.com

InfoUS411 called me back in March, they had been harrassing me for months about the $499, I even threatened them with a lawyer and they still called.  So I took the initiative, reported it to our state's Attorney General as well as the Better Business Bureau of Delaware (where InfoUS411 is based out of).  I have to say that a month after filing the complaint, InfoUS sent the BBB a letter stating "in spirit of good will" they will close this account. I highly recommend filing through BBB.

My clients are starting to receive these invoices and calls as well. Company is InfoUS411 - with a website at same location for 364 East Main St Suite 307, Middletown, DE 19709, ph: 866 928-0099.

Invoice amount $499, caller asked client "do you want to cancel", she replied yes. Now they are harrasing for "past due" amount for no services rendered, via phone and mail.

The BBB is scam itself, so they're no good. Law enforcement is too busy profiling Americans as terrorists and the Feds won't do anything cause the individual amount is too small.

Similar scams such as Yodle defrauded businesses out of $millions and the court did nothing cause each person lost only a small amount of money.

So what's your recourse? Get some good ole boys together, go visit them and take care of business yourself. Nuff said.

I am so glad to see all the complaints. We just got our first invoice this morning for $499. We did not request this service. When I called the number provided i had to leave a message and they called me back she proceeded to tell me they had a voice recording of the agreement. We will be reporting them to BBB and anyone else that will listen.

Same thing with us.  We filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in NY 212-533-6200.  They informed us our bill should be $0 now.  I guess it worked but I can't confirm that b/c InfoUS411 won't answer the phone #859-879-1583 anymore.  Total scam though!  You could also file a complaint with NY Attorney General 212-416-8433.  By the way, The only thing they get recorded is when they call a year and a half later and you tell them to cancel it...who cares!  That proves nothing but that they are a total scam!!!!  I wonder how many people actually sent them $499?  Hope this helps someone else!

I have received the same phone call...I canceled the service (which I never placed in the first place and told them that)...now they are hounding me for the money....the latest call was this morning...in which the woman said, if I don't make some sort of payment they will just keep calling me and then begin adding on additional fees...there are two other online listings trying this...National Yellow Pages USA and Executive Adverstising Online...Do NOT talk to these people either!!  SCAMS!!!  Does anyone know what we should do about this???

I received their phone call last week and today I got the 499.00 invoice.  I am returning it with a letter stating we never engaged in business with them and will not be paying them and if they continue to attempt collection, they will hear from my lawyer.  I don't know if it will work but it's worth a try.  Whatever you do, do not pay them.

Yes, I just received an invoice from that company asking for $499 and I was shock myself because I have never even heard of this company. I've tried entering their website many times, but it was no where to be found. So I've decided to check them up on Yahoo and Google and found this. I was stunned by the amount of people who said this company was a scam. I just couldn't believe it. I want to know how you guys got these people off your back? I do not want them calling back here again!

Ya, I received an invoice for $499.  They have been calling me and sending things in the mail.  They said they made a verbal contract with the owner in 2007 and now we owe them this money for cancelling the service that I never knew we had.  They said they have a voice recording that I aggreed to cancel the service.  They have not called me back in a week.  We will see what happens.  Have they forced anyone to pay the $499?  How do you get them off your back?

I just received my first call from them and they stated they would send me an invoice for the amount of $499.oo and gave me a phone number, when I called this 866 number it was someones home number.  Thats when I knew something was up so I googled it and ended up here. Did anyone ever receive an invoice?

same here...does anyone know if these people have actually ever built a case against someone???  i havent said much on the phone to these people but i know they threaten me with a voice recording and told me they would see me in court...god i wish i could see some of these toolbags in person

we are having the same problem with them.  we turned them into the better business bureau.  just go on line to bbb.com and file a complaint

Reported these folks one month ago to this site as well as the Federal Trade Commission and the Attorney General.  I received another call last week and I told them we did not authorize their service and again today, but let it pass to voice mail.  It's the same as everyone else - the $499, etc., etc.  Wonder if there isn't someone who can stop these creeps.  The number they listed on their "invoice" is 1-866-879-1538 or fax at 1-866-218-2222.  I may just print out these messages and fax it to them without ID.

Wow!  I have the exact samething going on with these people.  They said we owe them $499.  I googled their name and this website poped up.  I cannot belive people can do this.  Has any one paid this bill?  They said we made a verbal contract back in 2007.  I am glad I am not the only one going through this.

I reported them to BBB on the net.  This report went to New York BBB bc this is where their mailing add. is.  I come home today and there's another message from Infous411 wanting me to call them.  She seemed quite aggitated.  I'm thinking they received the complaint.  No way am I calling these people or talking to any of them again.  I just wish they would go away.  I don't understand how they can get by with this.  This is unneeded stress to me.  We're trying to run a business and I can't keep screening calls to avoid thesse users.

I'm contact the BBB in our area as well as the Ohio Attorney General.  The BBB has only just heard of them, most likely because of the recent name-change.  Same story, though - called asking for "their $499" that I "agreed" to about 1.5 years ago. "Do you have a written agreement?" "No," they said, "that's not how we have our contracts laid out."  Haha, like I'm paying this bill.

I was glad to see your message.  They have also contacted my business saying I owe $499.00 immed.  I thought I was really getting forgetful but I knew full well I would never agree to pay that amount to anyone to have my business listed on the internet.  Now they are faxing invoices to me and calling all hours.  I am in the process of contacting my attorney after reading your comment.  Thank you.

Yea they just called my office and tried to scam me. They are using the demonination of $499.00. I figure that's because you can legally have verbal agreements for amounts under $500.00. I just kept telling her to slow down because she was fast talking and then said, I never made such an agreement with this company. Then I asked her to send me the audio tape recording of me agreeing to this and she was like, "You want me to send you a recording?" very sarcastically. I said "Yea if you expect me to pay that, you better send me a recording of me making this agreement." She then hung up on me. B*****ds. It came up as private on my phone as well.

I just got a call from them as well. Tried to say my Father (company owner) agreed to this ad contract but that it was cancelled because we didn't renew and the fees are due at the back end. Caller ID said "Private". I questioned who they were and she said InfoUS411. Told them we never had any agreement before I was even transferred to the "quality assurance" to be recorded. She said "let me get a manager" and hung up.

Just don't agree that you ever had a contract and don't let them record you saying you cancelled it.

I had INFO US 411 call and said we made a verbal contract with them a couple of years ago and we now owe them $500 to clear the bill or the would send us over to collections.  The said nothing was in writing and would not give me a phone number.  A big scam.  Who can I report them to?

DID NOT SPEAK WITH THEM. JUST RECIEVED NOTICE THAT OWED BALANCE FOR CLOSING ACCOUNT.  SOMEHOW HAD MY NAME LISTED AS CONTACT PERSON.
