Are you sure that you have the right company. Please note that ACA Recovery is different from ACA. Please check the fact first. ACA Recovery is a collections agency while ACA is a financial institute. If you did you would have noted that Red Johnson works for ACA Recovery who I believe is using ACA Financial as a shield to carry out bad practices and give bad name to ACA.

left message saying that my account would have over draft if I didn't respond within in24 hours...gave some numbers for a purchase of quitstopashashatatasfjlskds.....letters kept on going on on and barely understandable...checked bank and said it was a scam and not to  respond....damn scammers...really sick of all the bs that people are doing these days...

I just got the same call and vm from this number.  Definitely a scam.  They won't be getting any money from me, since I don't owe any.  Jerks.

Received call and message advising my payment to something did not clear , could not understand what was being spelled out.  advised to call number to avoid overdraft. also given reference number.  I am not calling back been getting too many of these calls lately.  Something needs to be done.

I received a call (voicemail) today saying that a recent purchase I'd made was declined on my debit card and that I needed to contact them so my account wouldn't be debited.  I called the number and was put on hold.  I then terminated that call and called my bank as I knew I had more than enough funds to cover any purchases I'd made.  The bank saw no suspicious activity on my account.  

I dialed the number again; the phone rang and then the call was dropped.  Dialed again and got nothing but "air".  I could tell this was a scam from the beginning but wanted to let these people know that I knew it!  My bank says it's unlikely that this ACA has access to any of my accounts and for me to hold on to that voice mail.  The name of the company was ACA

got a call from 773-897-0367 with recorded msg to call 888-470-3056 because my payment to tendollarpaydayloandotcom would overdraw my account. this is a SCAM. I don't do pay day loans.

They said my Quickcash from my credit/debit was declined.  Please call the 888 number to avoid overdraft fee on my account.

You are missing the point...these are people that are being targeted for loans they DIDN'T take out, and are being harassed for no reason to be duped in to paying on something they have no loan for.  People take out loans with the intent to pay on them...but these are alleged payday loans, and most know the repercussions of what can happen if you don't pay those...so most don't.  They are mostly scams and they charge 50% interest  and you end up having to pay back twice the loan amount...therefore people don't do it.  Most states have a statute of limitations which protects consumers from these types of calls...in my state, its 3 years...these people are trying to collect on something that I never took out from 2006...thats 7 years...so they are WAY out of the statute of limitations in my state.  I tried to tell the lady that, and she said that she was going to take the money out anyway, and I alerted her that she was in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices as required by law...so apparently, they feel they are above the law...rude, obnoxious, harassing, and overall snakes.

I got this much, its a company called ACA...there are a ton of companies called ACA out there...has anyone gotten as far as to get an address for this place?  They called telling me they were going to take out $890 out of my account...and after I told them to take me off their list, they told me okay, and they will contact my family members...I want to get an address so I can take legal action if need be.

Some person named Laura called me and told me the same thing...that they were going to withdrawal $890 from my account...I refused to verify any information as I don't know anything about this.  She threw out the last 4 of my SSN, a previous employer, and even a couple people...jokes on them though...the account that I had then is closed...so, go ahead and take the money from that account...you won't get very far.  Bunch of frauds!

I think people should pay their bills then you wont receive phone calls from collection agency's. and  if it dont concern why are you bad mouthing company's that's doing their job to get banks back their money.Who the real scammers are is people that borrow money and have no intentions on paying loan's and credit cards back. Don't borrow if you cant pay back. people make it bad for people like myself who made need to borrow oneday and cant get a loan. Get it together and stop bad mouthing company's who's paid to recover loans. Every Collection agency is not bad out here. I did my own research on this number and their are a  legit Payment Center,  customers gave their banking information and default on their loan. So please speak what you know before talking on line

Called my work number with the same message as everyone else is getting. Refered to me by my maiden name, which I have not used for years. They stated that they were authorized to automatically withdraw a past due amount from my checking. I had 24-48 hours to get back to them.
First of all, they didn't leave a name, company, or the amount due. When they left my referance number, it was breaking up, so I couldn't get the full number.

I received a call from 888-470-3056 from someone named Ms. Malone at ext. 106 saying that they were authorized to take out $890.37 out of my bank account and if I didn't call back by 3pm, that it would happen.  I have tried and tried to call and there is only a recording stating they are ACA and every time I dial ext. 106, it goes back to the same recording over and over - never an answer!  I called my bank but not sure what they can do.  I have no idea who these people are, except scammers.  I have NOT authorized anything!  These kind of people need to be in jail.

This all started with two weeks of voicemail from Red Johnson calling for a person that I have never heard of.  He said he needed to serve papers.  The number he left was for Kenneth Miller and Assoc.  I tried to call, but only could leave voicemail.  I told them to stop calling my buy minutes number and that I didn't know this person.  After two weeks I finally talked to a real person who told me she would take my number off.  Well, they pass your number onto the next scummy debt collector and now this number is calling saying they are going to take money out of an account.  I don't really care because it is not my account because they don't know who I am.  If this person that they are calling really exists, then they need to get her correct number and stop wasting my money on my minutes.

The debt collectors are usually scammers calling from home and scaring people into giving them money even if they don't owe it.  It is almost impossible to stop them because they will continue to pass your number on to the next group of scammers.  They harassed my mother-in-law for two years for money owed by someone she didn't know.  She is in her eighties and was scared because they said they would arrest her or come to her house.  I also read that a lot of these collection agencies are run by lawyers.

I keep getting calls from these morons looking for someone else. They've been calling me for several years after being notified many, MANY times that they have the wrong number. They've called me three times this morning alone and sleep is hard to come by since I started chemo in February. I sincerely hope that the entire company calling me, their family, friends,and the individual that they are trying to find dies a fiery death and goes to Hell for all eternity.

I'm getting the same problem. When I ask for paperwork, or something I can look at to see what this is all about, they tell me they can't do that and I'll be served with court papers. Go ahead! At least I'd have something to look at then. This has been going on, off and on, for several months. They'll stop calling then it's like they move their office and I get a call from a different number. Or a recording telling me this is a process server who is calling to make an appointment with me to serve me papers. Really??? I fell off the turnip truck yesterday!

They have been calling me repeatedly over the past several months. They tell me I have a delinquent on-line payday loan from 2006. When I tell them I have no recollection of any such thing and ask for paperwork that I could research it from, they become extremely rude and begin with threats that they'll serve me at work and I'll lose all my legal rights if that happens. Really?? Told them to go ahead and serve me, at least I would have some paperwork to look at. What scares me is that they have all my information.

Received automated voice message for a previous employee (years ago) from phone number 205 588 8755 stating "Jane Doe" we are deducting the past due payment from your checking account by automatic withdrawal  ..... reference # XXXXXXXX.  You can call 888 470 3056....  blah blah blah.    
I thought I'd be nice and let them know that
A. Person was no longer available at this number
B. The statements being made were illegal
C. That they could truthfully get in trouble for the calls.
The chick accused me of getting up on the wrong side of the bed and wanted me to call "Jane Doe" and tell her to call them.  LOL....   I think I wish I owed this company money.  I'd be looking for a lawyer to teach them some manners and the law about collection calls to an employer phone number.

Got a prerecorded message saying that if I didnt call back that it was confirmation to take money from my checking for payment. The companys name was ACA. Not sure why or what its about. I will def let my bank know not to allow transactions.

They called my place of employment. Left a vague pre-recorded message with a case number to call back.  I have no clue who this is, but it sounds like a scam call.

Answered and got message giving a long "purchase" number (that was only partially understandable)  and saying the debit card used would be have overdraft if I didn't call this number back.  This is a corporate phone number and we don't even use debit cards!  Obviously a scam.

Incredibly rude.  They will hang up on you if you're calling for anything other than to make a payment.  They kept calling my son's phone and leaving harassing messages for someone else.  I wish I knew where they were...
