Thanks Gary, you're right it was Fingerhut as I applied for a card yesterday. It would be a lot easier if they would put their name with the phone number.

Yep. I feel kind of stupid. I ordered a really nice item and have been waiting. I kept getting calls from this number, I didn't know and pushed 3 saying I wasn't me. Then I read this post and called back. I finally answered and it was a robo, Fingerhut, just making sure I lived where I said. All is good now! Thanks everyone.

I keep getting a call from these people yet I HAVE NEVER requested fingerhut credit. How do I make it stop? They are not as kind as you all claim they are.
Roberta 2013-02-06 23:20:09 Unknown

received an automated call from Fingerhut welcoming me after purchasing an item with their pre approved credit. No up sells, or talking to a telemarketer. Simply a friendly hello robocall.
AnimateReality 2012-11-09 12:44:49 Unknown
Yes, its Fingerhut, a legitamate buisiness.
I was on the road to rebuilding credit and started a credit line with them. They were calling to upgrade my account and increase my credit line slightly.
Good place to rebuild or start bulding credit. Very nice people.

It is a welcoming message from Fingerhut. Automated. Harmless.

No message, just constant calling and hang ups!
Dodgitone 2012-01-06 23:52:11 Unknown
This is a legit call from Foingerhut. I got an account approved and placed an order. This was a recorded welcome message. This is also probably their way of verifying who you are which is required by law when you open a new charge account from any company.

I received two phone calls today, but I didn't answer them because I was busy. When I called them, a electronic female voice welcomed me to the Fingerhut Family and gave me a number to call. I ordered something online today and open an account.
RL 2011-10-07 19:23:46 Unknown
It is fingerhut. they emailed me and asked for my number again to make sure they had the right number. its a welcome/verification call.
Tony 2011-08-19 13:30:41 Unknown
Rec'd two calls from this number two hours apart. I didn't answer. They didn't bother leaving a message. Some people indicate it's a legit call from a place known as "fingerhut" but I'm not sure.
linda 2011-06-06 21:05:33 Unknown

Robin-Bobbin 2010-05-11 21:15:18 Unknown
Yup. It's Fingerhut welcoming me as a new customer. Should I get the Ab Rocket first? Or the NuWave Oven?
Scott 2010-04-29 22:39:57 Unknown

Sharianna 2009-12-10 17:03:01 Unknown
Fingerhut call welcoming you as a new fingerhut customer. You will receive this call if you applied for credit.

Yes it is Fingerhut. I had applied for credit and placed an order erlier today and I received a call from this number later in the afternoon. It's an automated call welcoming you and gives you their other phone numbers to call . It was very courteous and even asks if this is the "phone number for JOHN SMITH" ,for example. If you were truly called by accident you can simply press the corresponding # for them to take you off the list. But it's NOT a telemarketing call. If you didn't contact them, they won't be calling you. It's legit business number.
