This is a bill collector. I answered the phone and they connected me to an operator who told me she was a bill collector for adirondack medical services, which is a bill I haven't paid. You might as well answer it and get it over with, because they will just call you 5 times a day until you pick up.

They have called four time in one day. If you try to call them back, the "service" is unavailable. I answered the call and got a recording wanted me to identify myself by pressing #1

They have been calling me for over nine, yes 9 years! They keep calling after I told them that they have a wrong number. I have NEVER heard of the person they are looking for. I guess they had the my phone # before I did. 10 years earlier. They call at 6:00 am, 8:00 am and then 10:00 am in the same day sometimes 3 times a week!

I do have an unpaid bill due to a mix up for workers comp, so when I got this phone call, I did answer it, to "get it over with" as mentioned above.  However, nobody answered. I got "press 1 if you are" and then was on hold for almost 20 minutes.  Then, I got the runaround with "press this button" and never got a human.  So if they really want their money, they have a messed up way of trying to get it.  People don't avoid these calls to avoid responsibility.  They avoid it because the people are time wasters!

They are, in fact, a medical collections agency.  If they are calling you, you probably have an unpaid medical bill due to the comedic phenomenon known to man as "medical insurance"!  "Medical Insurance", is just an affectionate term for Scam Artists!  Good luck to us all!

I have been receiving calls from this number, ever since I purchased my pay as you go phone, last year.  They have been trying to reach the previous owner of my number, using up my minutes.  I have clicked on the number and spoken to numerous representatives, there, explaining this, and they have promised to stop calling, however, these are lies, as they keep right on calling me, every day.  The only thing that stops me from changing my number is that it could happen again, anyway.  Now, THEY owe ME for all of my minutes!

I think Andrea is right... This must be a bill collector. I too have a medical bill that I did not yet pay. And they called me 3 times for the day before 12pm.
When I don't want to be bothered by people like this. I usually just change the number. It is rare that I have to resort to that. But what the heck.. changing your cell number is FREE.(with most cellular providers). It is a small action to take for peace of mind... Unless u have a billion friends u have to give the new number out to...lol.

Started getting calls from a rude woman named "Kristine Ferguson" of NCO Financial Services. Her messages{I never pick up as she sounds unbalanced}are short and curt with a threatening tone to all of them. When I did reverse phone #'s they did not appear. Her latest attempt was a "call me tonight or else" line. When I called back with my # blocked they said they were not open. Business hours being 830am-430pm.Funny thing-She called at 7pm and 8pm. Scratching my head with this new info.the number she had left for me to call back..1-888-441-4122 extension # 2147.Funny thing. I looked up her name / NCO Financial on google and she pops up on this web site. Now her number is 1-888-441-4122 instead of 1-800-334-0636-{the information that I have found here today}. Something smells fishy/--and it ain't me. Kristine Ferguson/Christine Ferguson--whom ever she is---a little  bit off !

After months of them calling I finally was connected to someone very rude, so I insisted on a corporate address.  He told me he did not have to give me that. We went through that for a while then I told him that the Do not call registry needed it.  He then hung up on me.  I immediately called my states Attorney General's office.  Filed a detailed complaint last month and haven't heard from them since. Note: I also recorded many times they called.  One thing you have to understand about debt collection is that after the debt is written off certain companies purchase the debt in bulk and then call you and try to bully you into paying debt that has already been written off.  If you pay them even a dollar you renew the debt contract and become obligated to pay it.  Hope this was helpful.

Everyday I am receiving calls from this number which I believe is a collection agency.  They keep on calling for a Kathleen Normeyer.  Today, I remained on the line to speak with a customer service representative to inform them that I am not this person.  I finally spoke with someone and she hung up on me.  These calls are so annoying and I am really getting sick of it.  I want to report them to the better business bureau.  Everyday I keep on calling this number back and it disconnects.

I get a call from them about once a month.  But, this all started a year ago when some guy named "Johnny Prentice" took an ambulence somewhere and did not pay his bill, and the hospital kept calling me.  I called them back, and could never get in touch with a person, and left a long message saying that I do not know this person.  I though the calls would stop, but two months later this number: 888-472-4950 would call me, and try to get in contact with Johnny Prentice.  When I hit option 4 (which says to push 4 if you are not that person) a person comes on the line and asks me if I am Johnny Prentice.  When I tell the person "You have been calling me for a year, and I keep telling you people I am not Johnny, and do not know a Johnny, stop calling me!" They hang up, and call again a month later...?  No explaination, no conversation where they try to figure something out.  maybe they are checking to see if I still pick up my phone?  I think next time I will pretend to know who this person is, and tell tehm he died, and see what happens...:)?

I am the person who just wrote this message. I read the previous notes from other people who said this is a collection agency. I just want to add that my number is a brand-new phone number assigned to a prepaid cellphone that is not registered with my name or address, so whoever is calling me is either calling the previous individual who had this number, or it is just dialing randomly. I think it is probably dialing randomly.

I get calls from this d**m number on my new cell # several times a day. I registered the cell number with the DoNotCall registry, maybe the nuisance calls will slow down. Meantime someone gave me a very good tip which works with cellphones where you can choose a special ringtone for calls from different numbers.

Save the nuisance number and add it as a contact to your phonebook under any name you want. Then assign it a special ringtone - SILENT. Now they can call as much as they want, you'll never hear it ringing anymore.

With some cellphones, this can be done for groups of contacts, so you will have to add the nuisance call as an individual contact, then create a group and make them a member. Then you can assign "SILENT" as a ringtone for  that group and again, they can call but you won't hear it.

It's not perfect, but at least it's a step in the right direction. :)

This call came about 15 seconds after a call from +44-207-407-0223, which I also reported on this site. I didn't pick up on this call so don't know what it is. The previous call's number shows that it's from England although that's probably fake. That call informed me that I was being "transferred to a live operator." I immediately hung up. I got the call from this number just a few seconds later, and I assume they are from the same caller/scammer.

They are calling me on a new cellphone number which I have not yet registered with the "Do Not Call" Registry. I will do that right now, and maybe that will slow down these nuisance calls.

Still receiving calls from this number after writing to Adirondack Medical Billing and Information Services (as outlined in a message from another source on this site). I threatened a lawsuit and CC'd states attorney general office as well as the BBB and Chamber of Commerce in Plattsburg, NY. Received letter from Medical Billing Company indicating they have no knowledge of the number they are "supposedly" calling and the person they are trying to reach. They also, indirectly, threatened me with a lawsuit should I write another letter. I continue to receive daily calls and I record all of them but do not answer. Hopefully, someday they will discontinue calling me. The only answer I have is that after I visited a medical facility for a second opinion on my cancer issues, that's when the calls began. My number just ended up on someone elses records which invokes a HIIPA violation should I ever be able to prove it.

The recorded message puts you on hold, then asks you to push certain verification buttons.  I only listened once and pressed no buttons, since I worried it was someone trying to hack into my phone and use my number. I dunno what it is, but it's annoying as hell and I don't have a "block number" on my cell phone.

Several weeks now getting call from this number. One time, I actually got a person and asked her to remove my number. She hung up. Calls continue on my cell phone only.....taking up valuable air time. I will not answer calls any longer. Very frustrating.

I've been getting these calls for the previous cell phone number's owner for   over a year, eating up my minutes.  I reported the number to the FCC on Christmas, and I'm on a do not call list, and nothing has been solved, as the calls still keep coming.  One identity to 1 (888)472-4950 is Adirondack Medical Billing, at 762 State Route 3# Plattsburgh, NY.  I believe that this is a generic collection agency number making automatic calls for an assortment of businesses.  I also wish that Congress or the FCC would make this organization refund all of the money to every single one of us, who have endured this harassment for so long.  I'll start holding my breath now.
