asking for some person

Don't know who these people are but my mother is 80 years old and they continuously call her cell phone. I called the number back, it's recorded or at least the computer on the other end says it will be recorded and a female answers and only says Hello, does not identify herself or any company name. This should be illegal.

This company will call you if they get a hit on your name, family member, city or state..basically they call every Tom, Dick and Harry they can find trying to collect a debt. get several call everyday, from 8 in morning until 10 at night. this is elder abuse and is being reported to the appropriate agency as such. why can't the telephone company block this number. been going on for months.

They keep calling our a business for an employee that's no longer here.
Told them 2 times to remove our number because due to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, they are violating the FDCPA. Creditors cannot call someone at your place of business once they have been informed not to receive calls at work.
They say the name of the company so fast, that you can't understand what they are saying.

This number calls my cell phone back to back like clockwork, everyday around 8:45-9 AM every morning.  It will ring and go to voicemail (which they never leave a message) and turn right back around and call back again.  Once it has called my cell it will then call my house number, and from there to my work number.  This has been going on for well over a month!  I have even answered the phone on at least three occasions hoping that someone would at least have the courtesy to say something, but no it only hangs up.  I have called the number and the automated voice will tell me that I will be transferred, and then it hangs up.  I have tried blocking this number but to no avail.  This is harrassment to the fullest!!  I do not know what company they are "supposed" to be representing, and when I do a reverse phone look up it shows that it is a Verizon wireless number, which screams S-C-A-M all over it.  I just want to report these calls to the BBB, the police/sherriff, and let them know that this is complete harassment, but what can I tell them if I don't know who/what/where they are located from?  

KEEP GETTING THESE CALLS AND THEY DON'T STOP. NO ONE EVER LEAVES A MESSAGE.

calls everyday, I am being harassed and this is elder abuse as well. where is the government protection for elder abuse?

This is a collection agency called AmShare.

Automated call, knew my name, then told me to hold.  Generously gave them two minutes, then hung up.  If they want to talk to me they can do it on their own time.

888-473-4860 calls many many times per day.  When I answer there is no one there.  When I try to call back message says cannot be reached through this number but when I call back using my cell phone its a collection agency.  When I asked for my number to be removed because the person they are looking for is not reachable from my number the agent was very rude and hung up on me.

Calling me daily about 5-6 times. I answer and i get nothing, they hang up or disconnect the line right away. I don't know who it is but i would really like for them to stop or state their purpose at least.

This customer calls constantly but when I answer no on e is there.

This number is currently owned by NCO Financial - a debt collector.  It is one of many they use.  Typically their system will call you, if you answer it will then send the call to a live person.  It may take several seconds for that person to pick up.  Which of course is your chance to hang up.  Rule of thumb, if you don't know the number, don't answer it.

This number calls several times a day, every day.  Thank goodness for caller ID.  Have no idea who they are.

I finally answered a few of these calls last week. It was a recording looking for the person who obviously used to have this phone number before it became mine in late July (I have gotten other "wrong number" personal calls for her). I went through the little spiel in the recording - it asked if I was so&so, I pressed "no," it asked if I could get this person to come to the phone, I pressed 2 for "no," then it asked if this was the proper phone number for so&so, and I pressed 2 for "no." I answered the calls and did that at least three times. Did it stop the calls? No, they still call constantly.. my Call Control app on my phone shows that this number has called my phone 48 times since late July! So it doesn't help a bit to answer the calls and let them know that they are calling the wrong number.

I switched cell provider and got a new phone number in late July. This number started calling me less than 24 hours after I activated my new phone number (basically before I ever gave anyone my new number, so I am certain these calls are not even meant for me!). They have called me 29 times since then! I don't answer, and they never leave a message. Thank goodness for the Call Control app! (but it is still extremely annoying!)

Collection agency. They call Monday through Friday, several times a day. They keep calling despite having a payment arrangement with them - which surprise surprise is the same amount I was sending before I got sent to collection (medical facility wasn't happy with how much I was sending, be happy I was able to send anything at all)!

Don't know how your phones work, but they are on my reject list, so I never actually receive their calls, I just see the number show up in the call log.

constant calls to my home phone, Cell phone and now my work, How do I stop this harassment ?

It seems they might be soliciting sexual matters. They call so much it seems they are in heat. The recording sounded like a lite in loafer liberal. They have the wrong number for sure, perhaps my number used to be the phone number in bus station restroom. Wish they would troll elsewhere.

Debt Collector - very rude and intimidating

They continue to call my cell phone.  In fact, they call about 20 times a day.  I never answer.  Now, I notice that they are also calling my home phone which I do not answer either.  Very annoying.

I received several calls from this number, when I answered the woman asked me for my name address and ss number. When I told her I would not give out that information she hung up rudely.

STOP CALLING ME!!!!

these calls are harrasment and I would like for them to stop; they call my job as well as my cell.
