They JUST NOW called me from this number telling me that someone was trying to deliver a pkg gift me and no one was there to sign for it last Tuesday. Being a victim of fraud in the past I asked all the right questions. I asked who was it from, they said a last name which was the last name of someone in my family, I asked what address they delivered it to they gave me an old address that I used years ago. I then said well if it was a person using that last name then they would have known my address and I hung up the phone. Then I called the number back and I was unable to get through to the number. So be careful people because what they're doing is they're they're using old information that you used on credit applications or loan applications checking accounts etc. and then they're creating there on credit applications using your identity to create their identity through you basically identity theft and ruining peoples lives. Just hang up if FedEx is trying to deliver a package to you the leave a note on your door. Never ever give your personal information out to anyone over the telephone ever ever ever! If it's a gift worth getting from someone they're going to know your address trust me!

Debt collector/Law firm BULLY disguising as "small courier company" trying to deliver a package, they tell you there's a "security question" ("where do you work?") just to find out if you're employed after you told IDIOT collectors  you are UNEMPLOYED!

Just got a call from a 'Darlene Davis' (can a name sound any more fictitious than that--especially in NY). Started in with all these questions as to my employment status, last employer, etcetera. Giving me some BS that she was referred to me by a former employer. Started asking 'Darlene' questions, like, where are you calling from (New York...BS), what is the name of your employment agency (Prime Employment Services...BS) When I told her I could not find her online (she said the website's URL was, 'primeemploymentservices.com), she said, 'it must be your internet' (BS...the URL does not exist). Also, the strange thing, this call was made not to my phone, but, to a relative's phone. They had already tried my cell phone earlier (I do not answer calls unless I am familiar with the number). I am not sure of what kind of scam this is, but, this is definitely a scam, or, debt collector, or some such thing going about trying to retrieve sensitive information through a corrupt manner. It's always too late when you get to this point, posting this info, but, be warned: NEVER give out ANY information to someone that has not been referred to you, that you have prior knowledge of. They tend to get info out of you because they have a little bit of info on you, and quickly make you believe that, as in this case, a former employee referred them...ALWAYS BE SKEPTICAL. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFO WITHOUT GETTING PERTINENT INFO FROM THEM, LIKE NAME, COMPANY NAME< COMPANY WEBSITE, A NUMBER YOU CAN REACH THEM AT. Then, let them know you will contact the person / company they say referred you, and, that you will get back to them, if interested in further pursuing a relationship with them. There's is never any need to give anyone any info without doing your due diligence. Any legit business would surely understand your taking the proper precautions before proceeding with divulging personal information.

by chance do you people live in ohio?  I just received a similar call about delivering a package.  They called my ex-wife and my brother.  They identified themselves as US Express.  I'm sort of freaked out.

I think its a scam. Maybe to see if your home to rob you. Everybody be careful.

Just got a call from 1-888-484-940, asking for my daughter, I made like I was her. She said there a package for her. She said it would be delivered by 8:30am. She also said there was a security question which was work, and I didn't know the answer, but its ok cause they will let someone else sign for it, and she didn't want to ruin the surprise. Little do they know this is an officers house.

this number called both me and my dad today and asked about personal info, when they called my dad asking for me, they said they were a staffing agency verifying data about an application I filled out, but I did no such thing.  5 minutes later they called my phone and said they were a courier service that had a department store package for me and asked me to verify my DOB as a password.  I think this is a scam of sorts. I attempted to call the number back and got a message that all circuits are busy.

1-888-484-9401 just called me.  wanted me to accept a currier delivery of a check for my neighbor. On my call box the number came through as:888-484-9401. I told them ok, so I will find out tomorrow morning just who these people are. I don't know if I made a mistake or not. I tried calling the number back and could not do so. The message was that my calling area could not make such a call.
