I got the same thing from DOWRITE...they guaranteed the product but when I put one in they left streaks all over the page. When he called back, I told him they were no good and instead of trying to solve my problem (which I lost $250.00 on) he said they were sending our the rest of my order. I told him I didn't want anymore and not to send them. He insisted, so I told him if he sent them I would not pay for them and this call is being recorded. He was very rude, so you know what, I didn't get rude, I got very ugly with him and guess what, I didn't get any more cartridges!

I worked there for many years and it is a great company to work for, I was a manager.  It is not a scam as they will let you try the cartridges on a trial basis.  Just watch out for the re-order department, they are the ones who will try and overwhelm you with unneeded product.

So as mentioned, I called the number at the Allstate Imaging web site to speak with a guy at Green Tech.  A different guy from Green Tech calls back and accepts my request to be placed on their do-not-call list.

They confirm this request via fax.  The fax has GreenTech's letterhead on it, but according to caller ID, comes from Allstate Imaging's fax number: 818-700-9725.

A few days ago, I wrote, "I called the number on the Allstate web site and asked for John Scott.  The lady who answered knew who I was talking about and she asked to take a message.  We'll see if he calls back."

So a guy named Bradley Atkins calls back instead of John Scott.  Brad doesn't know who John Scott is.  I asked him to place me on their do-not-call list.  He agrees to do it.

Meanwhile, the phone number on the Allstate Imaging home page goes to a 3rd party answering service.  The lady there who I talked to said they answer calls for many companies including vividinkandtoner.com.  For any particular person that one might want to speak to - like John Scott - the answering service doesn't know the name of that person's employer.

I got a call and ended up with John Scott at Green Tech.  Gave his company's web site as greentechimaging.com and denied any link to Allstate Imaging or Vivid.  But...

I called the number on the Allstate web site and asked for John Scott.  The lady who answered knew who I was talking about and she asked to take a message.  We'll see if he calls back.

Anyway, Russel Leventhal presides - or presided - over all 3 of these organizations plus infinityprintingsupplies.com.  Russel Leventhal / Allstate were already smacked by the FTC back in 2000: http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2000/04/ultraribbonsinc.shtm
I myself didn't get ripped off, but if you encountered the same problem described on the FTC page, seems to me, if I may say so, that you really oughtta be an upstanding person and take the time to let the FTC know what's going on!

Digging further into the web sites, we find:

The Internet Protocol (IP) address of web site greentechimaging.com is 173.236.115.33.
Interestingly, the web site of IP address 173.236.115.32 is vividinkandtoner.com   <---!!

I got a call from a woman a short while ago and she was asking for the person in charge of making purchasing decisions.

She got kind of rude when I mentioned the would need to speak with Purchasing directly at another number to find out about the process of bidding for a contract with my agency, she hung up on me!

Now I know... busy graphic designer with an inkjet printer - got sucked into the runaround.

After the "offer" which I got overcharged for.... A 2nd shipment of printer cartridges that I *didn't* order turned up before I used even one of the 1st bacth. The entire lot was billed at OEM prices for unlabeled, unbranded generic carts from who-knows-where. I was annoyed as hell, but figured?"learning experience." and blew it off. I paid it off and figured I'd eventually use up the damn things in my aging printer and be done with these jerks.

But when I had to replace my printer, they promised a 20% restocking fee versus my credit for the cartridge to cartridge exchange... the invoice showed that they marked up standard OEM Canon Carts 200%  that they characterized as "high yield" and on the invoice, also billed me $150 for a tiny fedex ground box that weighed less than 5 lbs!  So I'd be paying over $500 for the "exchange????? Um, no. Not going to happen.

Not another f**king cent, you *goniffs!*

Just because your sales was low.. lets not speak lies. Most people dont know if it is a " scam " when they start we are trying to do our job. Im pretty sure if people who worked there could find a different job they would. It is a job to have while you are looking for another. In all honesty we do not know what goes on beyond you saying yes i will try you out.. Who is to say whats going on beyond that. this is true

'NOW when you receive a call how it works is we have a trainee open the call "hi this is so and so I'm calling from Greentech, I'm looking for someone that has the final say when it comes to purchasing your printer  supplies like ink and toner. Once we get the person who authorizes the purchases in the office, we ask for the make and model, as soon as we get the model It's transferred to a "closer" from there we go into this long pitch of how we guarantee to save you money by lasting a life and a half of the OEM. If you agree to trying the evaluation which usually consists of 2 at the old price one for freeee, we them have shipping department call. That's either one lady in the front room trying to close your " deal" that day or verification which is a different department, once you agree to all of this the one that you try obviously isn't free, there's an invoice in the package and we state that."

But, the invoice is only if you want to buy. Im sick of people who are haters and cannot get a sale bashing the company and messing up our deals.. Now, given working there freaking sucks.. but, its work. getting hung up on everyday is so draining but at the end of the day we do what we got to do so our babies  can eat and we can pay rent and we in the promo office have no one intention on scamming. because they do not tell us a thing. Remember you were there also struggling and getting hung up on like me. remember where you came from. at least the company is making changes to do better. Im not sure if it is a scam or not. as far as them calling you back and saying your under contact from my understanding and ive been there for some time. they dont but here is my truth. take it or leave it.

I received a call from DO-WRITE Imaging, callers name was Jim Micheals and gave me a really good deal on HP printer ink. He said ge gauranteed the product and they have a two year replacement at no charge. I tried them and everyone of the 11 that I have are bad, ink all over them and will not work. I called and the lady said just box them up and she would send Fed-Ex to pick them up and I will have replacements in 6 to 7 days. Well we will see if they will work. I have spent over $500 on cartridges and I think I may have been scammed.
I used to work for them.

GreenTech Imaging is ALLSTATE imaging, It's also Vivid ink and Infinity. NOW when you receive a call how it works is we have a trainee open the call "hi this is so and so I'm calling from Greentech, I'm looking for someone that has the final say when it comes to purchasing your printer  supplies like ink and toner. Once we get the person who authorizes the purchases in the office, we ask for the make and model, as soon as we get the model It's transferred to a "closer" from there we go into this long pitch of how we guarantee to save you money by lasting a life and a half of the OEM. So here's the kicker the one that you try actually comes out of a box a 36,48 or hmm what ever we decide, so it never ends unless you can settle buy buying the rest of whatever you and the closer in" Reorder " agree upon.
WHEN THEY CALL YOU DON'T TELL THEM TO TAKE YOU OFF YOUR LIST TELL THEM YOU WILL REPORT THEM TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU, I WAS A CLOSER ABOUT THREE MONTHS AGO , AND THEY ARE PUSHY, RUDE AND WILL DO ANYTHING TO GET YOU TO AGREE...

21621 nordhoff st is the address of Allstate imaging incorperated... They are a national distributor of ink and toner for printers, copiers and fax machines. They also own greentech imaging, vivid ink and toner, do-write imaging, and infinity printing. They are national using various companies. For example one covers the east, one the mountains, one west, etc. That address is where the telemarketers call from, and they rep each company. They call the east coast as green tech imaging and then call the west as _______ , etc. And they actually are a very good company. They offer cartridges that last 1 and a half times longer than eom's and are about the same price. They fill them to capacity as opposed to using a page count, and some are remanufactured but work just the same. Also, they run great promotions like buy 2 third is free or buy 4 and 2 are free. Also, they do it on a trial basis with open billing so if you are not satisfied with the product you can return it no money lost no money spent. But why would you, when it's a more cost effective cartridge. Also, they send tons of promotional office supplies for free and go as far as removing the shipping and handling if you ask.

Green Tech tried to scam me as well.

I talked to a girl named Brittany who said that I would receive 2 free print cartridges as a sample of their business.

She called me back trying to get me to agree to an order confirmation. When I said no I didn't want it, she said ok and told me that the order was cancelled. Fifteen minutes later I get a call from someone else who said she was the rep. She asked me if I wasn't satisfied with the service and I replied that I never wanted an order from them in the first place. Then she said, "Not even if it can save you a lot of money in the future" and I said "Yes"

I realized later that I should have never even said the word "Yes" at all. A scam like this happened to my sister just a few weeks ago and it took us a long time to get our oder out of collections. So I called back but couldn't get a hold of Brittany or the lady from the rep department, so I spoke to Yasmeen and she asked if I would like to cancel my order. I was furious and told her that I had never placed an order.

I told them that I have no desire for their business whatsoever and if they tried to contact me or send me any of their product I would take legal actions.

I was able to get some pretty detailed information out of them. Here it is for anyone who has dealt with problems from this company.

Yasmeen Cruz (Girl I spoke to from customer service)

Green Tech
9120 Ownes Mouth, Chattsworth, CA 91311

(631) 412-9253

This is the best number to reach them. They won't say what company their from at first so you have to say you would like to speak to Green Tech.

I will be researching legal actions to take if anyone gets caught in this scam.

If anyone knows if there is anyway you can sue this company or any other company like this please let me know through this bulliten.

Thanks a lot

This is a SCAM ....... they get the front desk to give information on your copy machines, and they send products to you and expect you to pay. And if you don't pay, they have a guy from their office call you and he threatens to take you to court. He will also tell you that he will settle at a lower price to make it easier on you!!

When I called their number, they refused to give me any company information, they wouldn't give any details. Not good business when they won't even give you any type of details. Tell them to remove you from their list and hang up on them. Train your staff to not give details, or accept their calls.

This company, Green Tech, has called my business around 5 times in the past 6 months. Today, when I asked them to remove our number, the guy hung up.
In past calls, reps have actually yelled at me when I said I am not interested, or they've been sarcastic saying "Are you honestly telling me that you don't like saving money? Really?"

After the hang up today, I called back and spoke to a nice rep and had them remove our number. We will see....
