This seems to be a company that collects for Sallie Mae. It is probably owned by Sallie Mae. Student loan borrowers beware. These people are crooks!!!

Endless calls requesting a callback at 888-488-6762. Also, calls from 201-435-8416, both numbers representing themselves as Primary Financial Services. 201-435-8416 is associated with an apartment house with 19 units on Harrison ave. in Jersey City, NJ! They want a social security number and verification of spelling on the last name. This is simply an identity theft ring. They get a name and phone number somehow, then try to fill in the rest of the pedigree with these phishing calls. I tell them they're c***-suckers and to go f*** themselves.

Read the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act).
It says that they can call from 8 am to 10 pm unless it's not "convenient."
Talk to them ONCE. Tell them, Yes, you are you. No, you don't have any records of what they're talking about. Tell them these exact words: "All phone calls to this or any other phone number are inconvenient."
Ask them to send a written request about what they're talking about.
Legally, they have to stop calling, AND they have to get you the collection letter within 5 days of talking to you. But if you don't answer, they can keep calling from 8 AM to 10 PM.
Oh, and BTW: if they are calling a cell phone with an autodial device, and you haven't SPECIFICALLY given permission for them to call, you can sue them for every.single.time that they call.

Sorry, you are incorrect on SO many levels.
If a collection agency has ANY valid way to contact you, including a valid physical address or a PO Box, they cannot call other people looking for you.
They do it all the time, but that doesn't make it legal.
Pay up? Really? Do you have any idea how many people supposedly owe money that they don't owe? Because some badly written software program made a one character error on a SS number, or said that John Q Jones was John H Jones.
And, even if you did owe money to someone, when or if they sell that supposed debt, the new "owner" won't be able to prove that you owe it--they count on the embarrassment, the fear of harrassment, etc to get you to pay. Even if you really don't owe it to them.

endless phone calls from this number. no idea who they are or who they are looking for. the message left is in hardly understandable English -- "you owe money and we are trying to help you pay your debts".
As far as I can see this is an collection agency. I ask my lawyer to call the 888 488 6762 number and she was informed that neither my name nor address nor anything relating to me is in their system.
yet the calls start at around 9am and go on till about 10pm.

When I called 888 number somebody answered and didn't know what I was talking about , then I called the captured number ,it answered with message it was a collection agency .looked online re.the 888 number found this site.
Obviously the collection agency is not ethical and probably acting illegally

Regard of who you are or what claims you are making about not having an issue with an address, these people will HOUND you down, anyone you know, anyone that they think you know, former colleagues, workers, bosses, landlords, until their debt is collected. When it gets to this number calling you are running from some bill, and its a bad one. PAY UP lol
| Chris 2010-03-17 19:22:11 Unknown |
This should be illegal. I get calls all the time for people that do not live at my address and some that I don't even really know.
