Margo,  I don't think you understand how the DNC works.   There is no DNC list against scammers.   Scammers ignore the laws of the land including the DNC.    Your caller is not a telemarketer.  They are scams.   The DNC was created and exists solely for the purpose of providing a List of registered persons who do not wish to be called by Telemarketers.   Telemarketers as defined by the DNC/FTC are legitimate companies who use the Telephone for the sale of goods and services.   Here is the kicker.   The DNC only applies to those Telemarketing companies who have Registered with the FTC and who must purchase and maintain the DNC list monthly.  They then operate on the honor system with a 16K fine for each violation.    They operate on the honor system.  If they get complaints,  the FTC simply pulls their file or picks up the phone book and contacts them.  All violations,  by those who are not registered with the FTC,  such as scams are regulated by other agencies,  including the FTC Proper.   Like it or not   that's how it is until changes are made.

I keep getting these calls and have asked them to stop calling and they told me they would keep calling me every day, they didn't care if I was on the Federal do not call list

I was checking into my credit report on line next thing I know someone name Janet is calling me to talk about my credit report, I thought my credit report is my business when I am trying to make sure there is nothing on there that should not be on there

Called, I answered, Indian sounding man said he was calling from US Auto something. Got the same call from another number last week. Irritating people, told him not to call again.
JUST FYI to people with Smart Phones, you can typically click on the persons name and click 'block number" at the bottom

this phone number calls at least 3 to 5 times per day, finally took phone off hook

I have been receiving calls froe this number repeatedly and I continue to ignore them, and they continue to
disturb me. I would like to request that they take me off their list immediately! Thank you.

Who and why are they calling cell numbers?

Constant calling all week, and all times of the day and evening also on week ends too.  Picked up the phone and got no answer.

They do not tell you who they are or who they are with and they call at work, home and on my cell.  Very rude and foreign people.

Just got a call from this number. I too recently signed up for a Credit Report which I haven't done in about 20 yrs. I didn't answer the call. I'm so sick of these type calls. Problem is I can't cancel my land line as I work from home and need to hold conf calls most of the day.

I just signed up for a free tril with Equifax to look at my credit scores. I immediately started getting calls from this number. I called them back because they never leave a message and the guy told me the were a credit repair company and they call to assist and give recommendations on how to fix your credit. I told him I have pretty good credit and he started asking of I've had any late payments or any debts with collection companies. I told him no and he said he'll be glad to take my name and number off their list and they will no longer call me.

I enrolled in the free trial offered by Equifax to view my credit score. Early the next morning, I got a call from this number. It called again later that evening. I tried the number back, and found out it was a credit counseling center. I called Equifax to cancel the free trial membership the following day, but this number still calls 2 times a day. Early morning, then late evening. It is SO annoying and I will definitely answer next time they call to tell them I've cancelled and to quit calling.

i cancelled this and i was scamed. now they keep calling my phone.

These companies do not do all the work.  They take your money to send a few letters out that the credit reporting agencies ignore.  

If you want your credit cleared up you have to do it yourself.

Free? Not likely, unless you are a credit attorney by profession. These companies do all the legal work required to repair your credit for a monthly fee, as opposed to hiring a lawyer.

keeps calling - no one there.

Repeated calls with no answer on the other end of the line.

I repeatedly get calls with no one responding to my 'hello'.  *69'd today and was told that the number is 8884935692.  Did reverse search to find it's another credit card solicitation.  I am on the no call list, both the home and cell phones.  There have been numerous calls that I have not reported.  Here are a few that I have blocked on my cell phone.    1-949-527-1674,  1-347-218-0531,  1-802-230-6357,  these are from credit service.

Equifax is a SCAM!

they call all day and up to 800pm every day.. Ive told them to please quit calling but it doesnt help......

How did you block this number?  I would like to do the same, but am not sure how to go about it.  These calls are numerous and annoying.

I keep receiving calls from this number on my cell phone. I do not answer but they are using my minutes that I share with my 17 year old son. They call repeatedly.
