This is a scam. A process server is not going to call in advance. They are just trying to collect old debts. DO NOT give them any money or the statue of limitation starts up again.

They called and say a process server was on the way. It is a billl collection agency. They could stop the processor if I would agree to "settle" the bill for $1000. I think it is a scam. The account they were trying to collect on was written off years ago.

We are in the same boat. Someone calling about questions about our property. Said they were going to show up with papers. Did you ever figure out if these guys are legit?

I was getting calls from 888 493 9646 for a couple of weeks. I never called because I thought it was another bill collector or scam. Yesterday a process server actually arrived to my job but thankfully my job turned them away now I really am curious as to what this is really about. I will call them during my lunch and keep you guys posted with some feedback.
