I received a text message telling me to call this number because my Farmers and Merchants debit card has been blocked and to call the number back.
I do not even have a Farmers and Merchants card...must be some scam.

It's a scam - I just called F&M and they told me they're getting pounded with calls. It's fake, delete that thing. I've had a few of those things. Freaking scammers!

I received 2 texts messages (below) claiming to be from Farmer's & Merchant's Bank. I know these are a scam however I'm wondering if this is an issue with Sprint, my service providor. Does everyone else that's receiving these messages have service with Sprint? Is there anyone that's reciving these that isn't with Sprint?
1.) Your debit card has been deactivated. To reactivate call 888-490-4578.
2.) Your 540313XXXXXXXXXXXXX debit card has been blocked. Call 888-502-0874 to resolve this issue.

Same as the others -- my Farmers and Merchants bank credit card has been blocked. Called the number and get an answering machine. Left a very off-color message and txted back to "stop txting this nmbr."

Comments: I have received 3 texts like this, and 2 different texts maybe from the same spammer from 310-497-3423.

The unwanted texts asking your to call 888-502-0874, supposedly Farmer and Merchants Bank, saying that your credit card has been suspended is a fraud. If your cell phone is on the Federal "Do not call list" you can report these unsolicited texts at: https://www.donotcall.gov/confirm/Conf.aspx

IT'S A SCAM!
Never had an account with Farmers and Merchants Bank but in the past two days I have received 3 text messages stating that my Debit Card has been deactivated or blocked.
Message one was from mwbyof@fmb.com to call 888-490-4578;
Message two was from betuvl@fmb.com to call 888-502-0874; and
Message three was from ohsyqz@fmb.com to call 888-505-5780.
