Did they provide you with an email or any other information ??  When I called, they said they would send me a confirmation email with all the details.  I did not purchase a trip but am still interested.

We received a fax advertising vacation deals at a great price. I called the number listed for more info and they sounded eager to transfer me to the "agent" in my area. Becky then told me that it was just a "cheap vacation with no catch" every time I asked about why they were so cheap. They also stated that they don't accept debit or credit cards and that you must have a bank account to purchase. When you have fraud on a card, it can be disputed. When it comes through your bank account you've basically just been made an example of and cross your fingers that your bank reimburses you. Most of the time when something sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

How did you pay?  If it was by credit card, then dispute the charge with them.

DO NOT RESPONSE TO ANY NUMBER LIKE THIS OR SIMILAR.
Their deals or any deal like these are way too good to be true.
THEY WILL ADD YOUR PHONE NUMBER TO THEIR LIST IF YOU RESPONSE BACK TO THEM.
They will take your money and you will never hear from them again or even get your money back.
If you have tons of money to waste, then call them.

Received a fax from them:

These are some of the great deals they offer:

4 days / 3 nights JAMAICA (ALL INCLUSIVE) $179.88.
8 days / 7 nights Cruise to the Bahamas or Baja, MX w/ comp RT air.  $249.98

It might be true but I am not willing to find out.  Just be careful there are too many scams going on.

Hi thank you for your information.
Im wondering if this so called company / people could possibly be the same travel company that took over $1,000.00 from me last year. Havent been able to get any information or in contact with any of them since. I know I should have looked more into it before I did it but people make mistakes. Its a scam and I pray one day these people get caught!!!

Fax Machine
After receiving several faxes for Vacation Packages, I placed 3 calls to have my fax number removed. During 2 of the 3 calls, I spoke with Rusty. Each time, they hung up on me rudely. Called back to find out name of company, receptionist was very rude & hung up on me when I asked what the name of the company was. Called back to say that I wanted to book a reservation, told same receptionists that they kept hanging up on me, she became very rude saying "I did not hang up on you." So I asked her "don't you want my money?" She replied "Nope." Then I asked her if she would transfer me to an agent who could make my reservation, "Nope." She again hung up on me. So I Called back from another phone line & got straight through to agent "Alex". When I asked Alex what name of company was, he told me "Universal Travel". He said that they were a corporate wholesaler. I asked where they were located & he told me Missouri. Where in Missouri? "Kansas City." (I am based in KC.) So I asked "why am I calling an 888 number for a local call?" He then became very rude. From there, he asked why I wanted to know. I explained that if I am going to give my money to a company, I wanted to know that it was a legitimate company. He told me to go online & look for Universal Travel, but that I would not be able to navigate through website, as I needed to be a member to do so. I asked him what the web address was & he would not tell me. (I was online as we spoke & could clearly see over 16,000 options for "Universal Travel" none of which were in Kansas City. I then asked him if he was in the same office as Rusty. He again became very rude "Oh, so I see what you are doing. You are calling back about a conversation you already had. I cannot continue to answer the same questions over & over." I asked him why he was so defensive. "I am not defensive. In fact, I am trained in hand-to-hand combat and martial arts, so I know what defense is. And I am not defensive." The conversation continued for another minute or so like this. When he realized that he would not be getting my money, he hung up on me. All in all, I placed at least 10 calls to get this information. Clearly this "company" is operating a scam. Their "employees" are rude, caustic, nasty & not customer-focused. I would not give one penny to this "organization."  I will be notifying a few other companies operating under the name "Universal Travel" (one is affiliated with American Express) to advise them of this scam. In addition, I will be reporting this company to the State's Attorney General as we are listed on the Federal Do-Not-Call List & their communication has violated federal law.

Called their 800 to find out who they were as have been getting their faxes for weeks. They're based out of HI. Will place them on the do not call list, unsure if that will help.

Fax Machine
This company has sent faxes to our office about a so called vacation special.  They tied our fax machine up for 3 hours continuously sending these (about 200 of them).  We called to have # removed.  A week later the same thing is happening...  Called them again talked with one of the most rude people who hung up on me after asking my fax #.
When you call, they will not give you any information about where or who the fax comes from

How can this be stopped  ?

I asked the tooth fairy and she said it was real. So did the easter bunny. Santa Claus wasn't sure though.

I love being able to get expert advice like this so I don't have to trouble my tiny brain with thinking for itself!
