they use aLOT of 888 numbers here are a few to look out for 888-519-1377 888-288-0910 888-688-9410 888-712-4956...they obviously like to move around because someone is on their tail so they change their number....oh I love the fake website that has no information about them not even an address. Please dont fall for this scam RECORD everything and give them NOTHING.....

yes this is a illegal there are laws to follow with debt collection and you are in violation of a lot of them, first off its illegal to say you are taking someone to court with no intention of doing so, second you are trying to scam people on accounts that are out of SOL and claiming someone has check fraud for a credit card is wrong, no one writes checks when they have credit cards your scare tactic may work on some but it wont on me...get a life and hope you are the one in the end that really gets SUED...

so this place calls my work stating i am going to be served for check fraud, then i called the number back and they said it was for a credit card that is out of statue of limitations, so which is it check fraud or collection on a credit card, they are scammers big time do not give them the time of day, first off it is illegal to even say you are going to be sued and they have no intent of doing it, record everything and do not fall for this, they are trying to use scare tactics to get you to pay them....do not give them any information especially over the phone.

yes the call me 2 days in a row stating the same thing and when i asked when was the loan taken he said 09/10/10 and the crazy part is that i didnt have that account on that date , my account wasnt open til 09/01/2011.. the is crazy..

Got the EXACT same message yesterday and again today.......nothing but a SCAM of course, I get sooo sick of getting these calls!   I haven't written a check in YEARS!!!!

I received the same call. I will not call them or pay attention to them because if they really did file a lawsuit against me it would be in small claims court and attorneys are not allowed in small claims court they would have to send a rep to small claims court, don't think so for a small amount and I did not write a bad check. It was reading I have some legal documents and hand that I, need to serve you well, and I was calling to schedule a place and time where we could meet, however Yes, I was unable to reach you by phone. I will be actively trying to serve these documents to you and either your place of employment residents. If you have any questions in regards to your 7th you may still contact the plano's at 888-519-1377 and refer to case number 104-9979 The barrier real on that. Your of officially been notified.

There are so many things wrong with the message itself.

Its Automated, for one, not a real person.
They talk about receiving a fax order for summons? Nope..that has to be done in person.
Serving must be doen in person.
And if anyone knows anyone, they must be served by an officer of the court (IE sheriff), in person...adn they wouldn't WARN you that they are serving you either.

They can go pound sand. This message wasn't even for me. HOw can the person they are calling be "officially notified" if they don't even have the right person to begin with?

Jeff Easley and Johnson York is a fraudulent company and person! They need a life and stop trying to scheme people out of money! All I know is that NO ONE will be taking me as no fool! I work hard for my money and no one is going to scam it away from me! GET A LIFE

I told them that the person they were looking for does not have my number and to put me on their do not call list and they did. The lady told me I took a payday loan out from Advance PayDay Loan, never heard of them, and I have my bank statements to prove that they never deposited any money into my account. Just stand firm! Dont let them bully you! Check your statements to verify, and then tell them that you will have your lawyer call them to get more information to process the proper legal documents because they are harassing you! I guess the Indian accent wasn't getting them the funds they wanted, so they decided to recruit american workers! They are a bunch of crooks and should be jailed! Let them know that you know your rights, ask them questions like, what state was the summons processed, how much was the original loan, can they fax you documents so that you can see any contracts that you may have signed. Trust me, they will try to skip over and ignore your questions because they do not have any answers!

Ok Jeff Easly  is now calling my number with same message but also called my work at the exact same time they called my cell phone. Same thing bounced check yah yah, well after hours of checking all my credit reports, I know I havent bounced a check nor owe them. Well Im not sure what to do at this point as to getting them to quit calling and I love how they use a recorded message maybe because we have gotten tired of the foreign lanuage accent and after they got me last year for 1268.00 dollars because I was scared  well good luck to them this time. Seriously get a job and do some hard work for a living go shovel some sh..t because I'm tired of theres.

Also, I would love to report them to the BBB but in order to do that you have to have an address and I cannot seem to find one on them.  Anyone bother to get that when they contacted you and has anyone else talked to a woman named "Patty"?

I received a call from 888-519-1377 from a lady named Patty who was quite rude and ugly last week on 5/9/12.  She claims that I owe United Cash Loan money.  This bill was and is being paid through a consolidation loan which United Cash Loan agreed to.  So I know she is lying to me.  She told me that if I didnt agree to a settlement for $300.00 then I would be served and they will deduct money from my pay checks.  Its so hard not to believe these calls sometimes because I did in fact borrow from United Cash last year but like I said I have been paying them for the last few months.  Word of advice dont ever borrow from payday loan companies.  The only one that is legitimate in my opinion is Speedy Cash.  Other than that you are taking a chance with any others.

Hi i keep getting calls for my husbands ex wife...( fyi ) we have beem married for 16 plus years and his divorce was final in 1992)  they are apparently calling for a bad check she wrote they leave a case number which is 1052733...I tell them to stop calling as we have no idea where she is nor do we care...and then this women proceeds to try and ask me questions like how am i related...  so i say you are harassing us and if they dont stop calling I will sue...she prceeds to tell me first i can't sue, but i say yes i can i know what the law is , then she says its a sue happy world go ahead and try.....it starts with a automated message from a man by the name of jeff easley????  and when they answer the company name is johnson york....   very unprofessional.....

I have been receiving the same calls with the same messages. Question is....What the heck do we do about it?  Obviously they have our info and Lord knows what they are using it to do besides trying to get us to pay money for something we dont owe!!!

Another victim!! I got the call today, they said there was a summons for my arrest and will come to my home or work to give it to me. Told me I owed 600 for a returned check from a payday loan co. i never heard of. Scary because they know your information. I told her i already had a lawyer, she said she would call him an return my call to see if she could "help me out". Havent heard anything since....

these people has been calling me and threatening me about a loan that i had not applied for or received.THEY SAY THAT THEY WILL BE SERVING ME A SUMMON TOMORROW ,AND THEY SAY FOR ME TO GET A CRMINAL LAWYER BECAUSE I WROTE A BAD CHECK , WHICH I NEVER HEARD OF.THIS IS A SCAM

Oh please...who do you work for????? I never even heard of the payday loan. Plus they only had half of my information right and it is NOT on my credit report. And where I live you only have 4 years to do this...not 8 years later. So stop trying to Scam us. We are not stupid.

Yeah, I got John Easley at phone number 000-000-0000. Then a recording. Called back and said it was a payday loan from 2004. I did the same thing, asked for their tax id number and this fool started  yelling at me that I had no right to that number. SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just received this call on my work number, house number and cell phone. It was from a Jeff Easley, it was a recording. He gave me a the same message as many of you have reported, that he could't reach me by phone but I was officially served by the message. I called the number back and asked the people for information. I asked for written verification. The lady was rude and said it had been in collections since Jan 2011. I told her I hadn't received anything. She was rude and kept telling me they were coming to my work and were going to tell my job I used my email to get a pay day loan and refused to pay it. I didn't take out the loan. If I had, I would have paid it. She also kept saying stuff that this was a form of a bad check. I talked to the Arkansas Attorney Generals office earlier this week about a call I received previously, probably from the same people. They stated that you cannot go to jail for a payday loan and they cannot arrest you for it. He said it was completely different than hot checks. He also said that if they refuse to give you written verification, that it was a scam. The lady kept telling me that I would receive a summons. They would serve me but kept saying that I'd recieved letters, which I haven't. I feel like this is a scam and have called the AR AGs office again and left them this new information that I feel certain they are going to come back and tell me it is a scam.

i received a call at work and at home. the first call was a recording saying i had been served and someone was coming to my job to arrest me for a bad check. then the next day a lady called named Patty from 888-519-1377 ext. 102. she told me that i owed $800 then said she could reduce it to $400 if i paid $200 today and make arrangements to pay another $200 later. she asked for my debit or credit card number. i refused to give it and then she said they would have their money by tonight because i would be sitting in jail and have to pay the money in order to get out but if i would wire the $200, she would life the summons to arrest me. then she said she would take $100 if i couldn't afford to send $200. she said if i didn't have a credit or debit card, i could wire the money to them. the original call was from Johnson and York but she said i would wire the money to the Department of Public Solution or DPS, Receive Code 5204, i need to use MoneyGram to send it. I was to put EFNY 14305 on the MoneyGram form then call Patty. my arrest summons would be then lifted and i would not become a jailbird. she did say it was a criminal charge.

Obviously another scammer trying to get people to believe this baloney!   Don't fall for it!  No legal debt collector, bank, creditor or so on will contact you in this manner.  A summons must be served in person or by certified mail - NEVER over the phone or internet!

I don't understand either - if someone calls from a number so fake as 0000000000 - the call shouldn't even go through!  So sick of these scammers!!  There should be some technology that can counter this bullsh*t.  Calls that are placed from a phony number, or from one phone but made to appear to come from another number, another country...

The person who had your number previously may not have had outstanding debts, however, these people are just scammers who call anyone and everyone they can...  It doesn't verify anyone has debt or bad checks being owed to them or anyone else.  I get lots of these calls at my work number!!!

Jeff Easley just called me at my work number!  The caller ID was all zeros... 0000000000000000...  So, I answered "hello" rather than with my company and name...  Funny how the recording says since he couldn't reach me by phone...  REALLY?  You weren't on the phone when you called me!!!  At the end, says I have been served!  REALLY again?  You have no clue who received your pre-recorded scam message!  Absolutely no legal entity would do business this way - whether you owe them money or not!  All a scam!  Do NOT fall for it!  If I had written a bad check, I would know it beyond any doubt!  Legal documentation would be handled securely through traceable, certified mail!!!

What a bunch of dumb s**ts!  I am so sick and tired of these damn calls!  Unfortunately, I did borrow from a payday loan place once and I will bet you money that they DO give away or sell information that they obtain from customers, especially those who refuse to borrow repeatedly.  They were mad at me when I would not take out another loan.  Be very careful if you do have business with those loan places - most of them are scammers of one sort or another as well.

All calls should be blocked if they do not show up with a legitimate number to begin with.  I mean seriously, we all know that 00000000000 is a fake number!

The person who had my cell number before me has outstanding debts, I've recieved many collections calls.  Thanks to all those who posted on here to warn me about calling back.  I'm sure if I did they'd just start trying to scam me, claiming they were going to hunt me down, burn down my house, and kill my whole family.  I feel sort of bad for anyone desperate enough, like the lady who answers the phone when you call, who has to take this kind of sorry-assed job.  Tempting though to call from some untraceable number just to f_ck with her.  

And a side note to pay your bills: Dude, I've been in debt.  I remember the debts I've accumulated and I've paid them back.  You are obviously some pathetic loser in some sh#thole office, in some third world country trying to scam the good people of the United States of America.  We will find you.

Just got a call on my home phone with that Jeff Easley message  on there. I am 31 years old and I have NEVER had a bank account so if its a hot check with MY name on it, go get that bi*** because it isnt me!!! If you want me to think it legit, send some mail, certified, with a legit address, company name and the who what when where and how. Who is foolish enough to just call a number back and hand over banking info? Call me form a legit num not a series of 000000000. If its a legit process serving, theyre not going to warn you by phone, they just show up.
