They are not legit.  I don't owe any debts.

This is now the 8th company calling me for a supposed debt made by a Summer Gill. Each time I inform them that my name is NOT or has Never been Summer Gill, so please remove my number from their list.I have supposedly spoken to several legal advisors, but the calls just come from a different company each month.
I took over this number 18 months ago, when I changed cell phone providers. I have notitified the BBB and FTC, but were told the only way to stop the calls is to change my number.
Why should I change my number for these idiots.

Could you provide their address since you paid these people?  In what States are they licensed to do business?

Has anyone ever been served papers by these people???

The same story -call from Brenda Moore-scare me saying warrant for my arrest, serve me at work-have my representative call right now.

i keep getting calls from this number and exactly like the post from audri parker, it says they need my address or work because i'm getting summons from a plantiff. and when i call back, it's from a fake law firm. it's also says the call is from brenda moore. it's a scam! stupid scammers!

Who is the "FDC"? Don't you mean the FTC?

BTW--Why don't YOU "grow up" and find a legitimate way of making a living other than extorting money for non-existent debts--Shill?

You paid these scam artists?  Seriously you think that this is over with?

I have NO DEBT to ANYONE and they still call me seeking that I pay for a 'debt' that I do not owe.  I asked for a letter of validation, and they refused to send it, they simply stated they had 'paperwork that needed to be served', so I asked them kindly to serve the paperwork if they really had it, then told me to not contact me via the telephone again and hung up.

Simply put, the FTC (federal Trade commission, not FDC  Democratic Front of Cabinda) DOES protect you, we're not HIDING behind them because this company is practicing UNFAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES.  

I would bet, you're probably working for them, writing bogus reports to make them seem like they're a legit company.  ANY company that uses non business like language (calling people names, using threats or other forms of coercion to attempt to collect) is NOT practicing fair debit collection practices and YOU DO NOT NEED TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

Furthermore, your grammar (which i saved for last to critique) and spelling is horrendous.  Do you not know that most modern browsers have a spellcheck function that automatically checks the words that you type and offers correct options to choose from?  Do you not know how to formulate a correct, coherent sentence spelling out what your thoughts are on the matter?  Do you not know how to use proper punctuation?   Run on sentences, incomplete sentences, just plain babble to me.

BTW, my credit record is SQUEAKY CLEAN and have had no collections accounts, EVER.  

Also, after seven years, any debt owed is dropped from your credit report (unless a new account takes over that debt, which would classify it as 'new debt'), so these practices are far from legit.

Since you seem to know everything in the book, why don't you provide for us the address and contact numbers for this organization, considering you have received a 'letter as well'...

If all you people pay your bills, you will not get these calls...  I called took care of my matter recd a letter as well .. They are legit company..l   All of you whom post this thing is because you dnt care about your credit..

It's a scare tactic. You CANNOT be arrested for debt.
Go to ftc.gov and read the FDCPA and learn your rights.

I have been receiving calls from all zeros, the message is a recording saying from lachner, gates and Associates. I hadn't responded but it started to make me wonder, so today I called back. I spoke with one lady and thn got transferrd to to Julie James. She states that I had a summons to be sued for check fraud in another state. She knew all my information. But she would not giv eme any of their info. I told her to give me a chance to think about this and i would call her back to possibly make a payment. She explained to me that it had to be today or the police in my town would come pick me up and extradite (except she said expedite) me to the other state, i would be arrested, have to post bail and go to court. they called me back and asked had i made payment arrangements. i said that i could not find them in the BBB or any website. She told me that i needed to talk back to Julie. I hung up. Julie then called me back and left a message saying that by me hanging up , she was taking that as refusal to pay and that someone will be at my employer to pick me up no later than 11 tomorrow morning.

Do you have MetroPCS?  I think this is a scam set up by them to get us to pay for call blocking.

Just got another call from these a#### tried to get info from them and rep got mad and called me  a n****r..... wow that is somehting ,

I just got a call from 000-000-0000 and the person I spoke to is Julie James.  She was rude and kept stating the I was going to be served at work or at home for a debt of over $3700.00.  She kept stating that I was even in danger of being arrested.  I told her that my lawyer would be calling them back.  I am not answering their calls any longer.  Julie aslo refused to spell out the law firms name.  I have googled Laughner & Gates, Locklear & Gates but have come up empty.  I think we should all report them so they can stop harrassing people.

I HAVE BEEN GETTING CALLS FROMN 888 519 5423 AND 000 000 0000 SINCE 2008.  THEY ARE ALWAYS FOR JOHN GREEN AND THEY WANT TO SERVE PAPERS TO HIM.  I HAVE REPORTED THIS TO BUREAU OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND FTC AND FCC BUT CALLS COME IN AT LEAST TWICE A DAY    I HAVE STOPPED ANSWERING THESE CALLS

888-519-5423 called my phone. The number show up at +00000000000000000 I didnt pick up the phone because I dont pick up random phone calls. I listened to the MSG and it was a robo machine asking for a certain individual saying that they have a summon to serve this person at their home or place of employment. I wanted to disregard the message but it really bothered me how they got my number. I called the 888-519-5423 because that was the number that they refer to call. I called and there was answering service saying that they are a Firm of Lochner Gates & Associates and that if anyone received a summon from them to go ahead and tell the reps. I was on the phone for a while then another answering service with the same number represented themselves as PROCESS SERVICE SOLUTION. In the mssg on my phone it said Brenda Moore is looking for the individual but after srveral rings -- - going from -- Brenda Moore, Law firm of lochner gates & associates, to process service solution to leave a message for Vickie. Honestly, this feels like some scam to me and I would really want to know how the hell did they get my number. I just change this number like 10 days AGO! People are scam artist and what they are doing is ILLEGAL. The FED SHOULD REALLY FIND THEM AND SHUT THEM DOWN!

Got the same message from the 000-000-0000 30 minutes after my parents recieved a call from a different 888 saying the same thing except rather than a recording the dude told my 77 year old father that he didn't have a number for me and was a man or woman.  Then the Brenda recording called my cell and left the same message as other have received.  My cell has been the same for 8 years, I haven't lived with my parents for 28 years, and I have worked at the same place for over 5 years.  If they needed to find me they could.  Oh Brother!  it must be the end of the year and the dedt collection timeframe is about to run out.

Same cal, same Brenda Moore, same papers, etc.  they are callin regarding my deceased first husband who has been gone almost 6 years.  Really???

yep, its happening to me too... everything that everyone's already documented... for the past 2 days now... Brenda Moore, 888-519-5423, they've got papers to serve me at either my home or my work, contact the plaintiff, which I didn't listen to any farther then the automated greeting which identifies them as Laughner Gates and Associates (not sure about the first name but I googled a couple variations of that and came up empty)

Received a call from 000 000 0000 today at 11:26 am to my cell phone.  A recorded message, something about Brenda Moore, and wanting my work and home address in order to serve papers - strange that it's a recording and no option to press a key for a live person.  Didn't want to call the phone number provided as I was afraid it was one of these foreign based scams that charge you $1,000 for the call!.   Called my local phone comapny and they were checking into it when they found all this info, so advised me not to call the number!   We don't owe anyone anything overdue, so I'm not worried by them and not going to fall for any ploy of theirs!

I was also mad seeing that they called three times today and a few times yesterday.  I hope they would send the prcessor and be done with it.....lol.  I also called the woman every name in the book.....lol  Something needs to be done about this harassment.  A legitimate debt collector would not makes threat.  I dont even know what the debt is.

I have received calls from this number, my employer and my mother also.  I try to get info as  to what the so called debt is but I have not been able to get any answer.  Brenda Moore and Vicki have called and
 threatened to send process server, I" said you have the address so  come on . "  They call numberous times on a daily basis with the same voice message.

Just got a call from "Brenda Moore" asking one of our employees to call 888-519-5423 about paperwork blah blah blah.  This is frustrating, and here at the office I have more important phone calls to attend to!
I never pass on these messages.  Awful people.

Got the same message today- I was so mad I called this $itch everything in the book. I told them if they had something to serve me - bring a couple big guys because they will need it!!!!!!!!!   SCAM- what scumbags , only scum work for these idiots!

Well rack up another one that has been getting a call from a Brenda Moore at 000-0000-000 saying that she had papers to serve on a Jacqueline Price and to call 888-519-5423. Called the number back and got some answering machine.

The funny part is there is no Jacqueline Price at the number they have been calling and that number is my work cell phone.

Total BS for sure.

Yep they called me too and called my husbands cell phone stating he is also liable.  The lady I spoke with told me it was from 5 years ago.....Are you serious???????????  She also said that papers would be sent to my supervisor at work tomorrow at 9 AM.  I have had several of these calls in the last few weeks.  Get a life.  Brenda Moore the processor is a joke........Processor's don't call with a recording.  But I am glad to know that others are getting calls to.  I have contacted a lawyer friend and he tells me all they can do is take you to court but it takes so long to get something like this in court that the statute of limitations would probably run out if I really owe it.
