This company must call anyone with the same last name they are TRYING to collect from.........Harrasment is not acceptable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They just want to get paid if you won something or it was anyting good someone would identify themselves, they want you to call back to get a bead on ya do not anwser!!!!!!!

As well as : contacting anyone other than you to discuss your account is a prohibited practice under the Collection Agencies Act

The only way to make them stop calling is a Cease and Desist letter.  You can also contact Justice and Consumer affairs.  I have done this as I recently became disabled and unable to pay and was being harrassed and it worked. The calls stopped.

Calls from a Robert Kane (Cane) started several months ago. Usually when I answer the toll-free number I get a strange recording to call them back.   They are identified as ARC.  Have no idea who they are or what they want as my credit rating is exceptionally good.  This Robert Kane fellow, though, is incredibly ignorant, yells and threatens me in a covert way.  He calls very early in the a.m. and on Saturdays. I turn my phone off or just ignore the calls. He calls from the number ; 1-905-413-8553.   He even called my workplace.  If he thinks he is going to intimidate me, however, he is calling the wrong person.  The Dept. of Justice usually handles pond scum like him.   Advice to anyone: ignore the calls, file a complaint demanding the harrassment stops and don't fall victim to scams and intimidation.   That man should be on the unemployment line and that company should be shut down.

Mr. Leclair or Leclare calledl saying he was the Legal Manager for ARC and was giving me until noon today to respond as he has been instructed to sue me from his client or he would instruct his attorney to file a 'Notice Of Motion'

got a call this morning the stated she was ashley and wanted a member of my family to call her back....who are these people....at least i got a name....it came up as a private number on my phone, but the message left by "ashley"  was 1-888525-6184

Called and all it said was...if you wish to speak with a rep please press one now....that was it.  Great way to get people to answer your call.

They called on Thursday morning leaving message with file ID # regarding outstanding monnies owed.  I have had several credit cards in the past and this supposed collection has never showed up.  Furthermore I have just recieved a mortgage in July from a major bank and not a mention regarding this.

received a phone call from these people.  stated that i give them my middle innitial.....told them i didnt know who they are and they repeatedly replied they were from bell aliant....liars......i have nothing to do with bell aliant

Thing i dont understand is my Credit was just cleared last month and thats exactly when these calls started... thinking on changing my phone number.. I'm afraid if i call back i'll screw my credit by reseting the last date of contact.. I went to two different places for my credit report and nothing showes up.. I'm very confused by this.

Very upset and confused??? Who are these people and why am i getting these collection messages ???? I don't get a name or even a clear case# to write down....and why in the H*** would a collection agency be calling me -  name Walter Knowell - I have perfect credit - and never had a late payment????   ???????????????explain!!!!!!

Just got call from this number 18885256184 - I have no delinquent accounts and the lady i called back acted as if I was another person by the name of Gary or Bram - I don't know but i am considering legal action now! and even if they are a legitimate Collection agency - They have no right to call the wrong number or not admit that the number they called was in error!!! VERY RUDE!!!!! and my Lawyer is considering action against YOU ARC!!!!

A person called today and was very rude and slanderous!!! please have this group arrested - They are clearly trying to fulfill a great scam!!!

They call everyday and leave an automated message -  the case# was not even clear enough to hear! A number splurted out and crackled very loudly and then right away they hung up - I cant even get the stupid case# because of their unclear and scrambled automated message...This must be a SCAM and I was involved with another such incident in which I paid a settlement - Only to find out that the collection agency i paid was a fake and fraudulent company - with no address!!!If you get called from this ARC - contact the BBB - they need all us to report their harrassment! and unclear and poorly scripted messages!!!

This number just called, and since we're on the "do not call list", I decided to answer it.  It was an automated message stating to call their toll free number and reference case #xxxxxxx, but they didn't say what company they were calling from.  However, I didn't have a pen & paper handy to write down all the crap while the message was playing in my ear, so I guess they're not getting a call back!  Also, they didn't even say who the call was for!  What kind of a legitimate collection agency runs business like that?
