Company identified as DTE and refuses to leave messages for the "person in charge of utilities," says they will call back. They have called back a lot!

Received more calls, this last time the rep told me it was BET Energy and wanted to speak to the person in charge of our utilities.

My company received a dozen calls from this number within a couple days, hang ups or asking to hold for a rep. I called it back because I was curious and I asked what company the number was from. The rep was polite but wouldn't really tell me the name of the company, said she had to "figure out" why they called. Then she asked who our utility provider was because they want to compare our costs and find a cheaper rate for us and it would just take a second to see if we qualified!

Anyway, I wasn't interested. Stop calling, por favor!

Guess I "inherited" these wonderful folks when I got my new phone number - about a week ago.  They're a pain in the rear, calling several times a day EVERY day.  Since I pay by the minute, I haven't answered when they call, and probably won't; however, my phone service allows me to put callers into "groups", so I created a Telemarketers group and assigned a silent ring tone to the entire group.  Though I have to admit, the thought of calling THEM all hours of the day and night, and hanging up is tempting....:)

(888) 528-6882, they. Called me about 9 times in two days. Asked to be put on the do not call list. Still got calls from them. So I started calling them back over and over. Hanging up as soon as some one answered. Until someone said, "Are you gonna do this all day?" I said, "I don't know, am I on your do not call list yet?" and hung up. Have not heard from them in one whole day. Probably wasn't very mature but I work at night and I was sick of getting the same phone call over and over with a voicemail of someone breathing. Hope I don't hear from them again.

I am getting calls from this number numerous times a day and they never leave a message.  They have called as late as 10PM.  I have been on the DoNotCall list and have renewed but to no avail.  It seems that nothing our government does works right.

I have been receiving calls 5-6 times a day for the past week. Same story as others, I answer and am hung up on. I called the number today, advised of being on the do not call list, and was told I would be taken off the list in 24-48 hours. We shall see!

About two months ago, I inquired online about car insurance prices, since our circumstances have changed. A call from this number came just this week regarding our inquiry. They had the info I had given online and had just called basically to confirm the info and would e-mail us a quote. Today's the first day I've been online recently, and I landed here because I was checking on various phone calls we had received on our cell this week. I had already forgotten about this call that I had taken; but, everything seems to be in order.... so, I am not concerned that this is a crank call of any sort.
Generally, we, the people, do not realize, when we request something online, that we may get umpteen calls from varying companies who want to get our business! They're only doing their job! WE are the ones who let this happen!!

This number is for Insurance Express: if you (or someone else) used this number when applying for car insurance within the past 6-12 months, you're probably on this list - according to Sheri and Leo (Supervisor).

According to Leo, if you request to be removed from their call list, it takes between 24-48 hours (we'll see). If your number is on the DO NOT CALL registry, they claim that not all companies are updated properly; therefore, you are still being called.

They called and said husband ( they had his name) had asked for quote on ins. Express Ins. NOT TRUE. They call repeatedly several times a day. I've informed we're on the do not call list. Makes no difference. It has now become harassment.

Received some phone calls from 888-528-6882 and nobody talks to me. I called back and happens to be Insurance Express. In Florida they have a number listed under 888-486-2056

It is Verizon not sure what for I called it back and it was a recording.

Having filled out a request for an online auto insurance quote, the activity generated the recent numerous auto-dialer attempts to my home phone. Only with caller ID was the number obtained and called. They identified themsevles as "Insurance Express,"  and volunteered my name and email information. When told of their offensive activity, I was politely assurred that this would cease. Needless to say, any business transaction, with them is extremely remote.

same as everyone else... calling sometimes multiple times a day, always hangs up.  I called the number and politely explained I am not interested in changing insurance and was hung up on.  A couple of hours later was called again.  This is to my mobile and I am Pissed.  What do we do?!  I am ready to do whatever I need to take this company down.

I don't know who this is.  They've been calling me twice a day for a week now.  Every time I answer and say 'hello' nobody answers so I hang up (it's a rule I have, if an 800 number calls me and they don't answer after one 'hello' I hang up) It's annoying.  I wish they would stop calling me, whoever they are.

I got another call this morning and I sneered and it immediately hung up. I called back and was harrassed by the lady at the other end ( Karen). She mentioned having my name and address, she only knew my first name and the address she had was completely wrong. So I told her I want no more calls from this number and hung up. Let's hope this works.

Just wanted to add that it appears to have something to do with the company "QuoteScout"... I received an e-mail from them, thanking me for "using" their services...

For your own sake.... DO NOT answer.... Unless:
1.) You're looking for auto insurance and tons of quotes... not from the person you talked to in the first place, though.
2.) You enjoy giving your info to about 6-10 different companies (who will call and flood your e-mail inbox until you talk to them).
3.) You enjoy talking to new and exciting insurance agents... maybe even "making friends". :)

I had this number call me this morning and didnt answer. They called again this evening asking for my husband. Stated he wasnt available and who was calling. They didnt answer me and just asked when he would be available. I stated it would be a couple days due to his work schedule and if there was anything I could help them with. They then hung up on me. I called back to find out who/what the company was and they stated they were calling for Robert and wanted to give him an auto insurance quote. I told them we had insurance and didnt need a quote at this time. They said well we called to talk to Rob about this. I again told them politely we didnt need a quote and they hung up on me again. A scam I am guessing!!!

This phone number will not stop calling me. They don't say anything when I answer and they leave me voicemails with nothing on them.

Definitely an auto-dialer, calls twice exactly every two hours - never filled out any online insurance requests, so where is the enforcement against autodialing? Probably just a bunch of B/S, like the calls and the politicians who passed the law, (without enforcement).

Autodialer from Insurance Express. When you answer "hello", it is supposed to transfer to a live telemarketer. Sometimes it doesn't work, so it hangs up no matter how many times you say "hello".
They said you probably filled out something online looking for auto insurance quotes. I spoke to someone there and told them not to call me anymore. They use other "800" and "888" numbers also.

Company called my home 4 times today (1/6/11), did not leave a message.... when I tried to call the number back, the call just immediately disconnects. I tried to find out who the company is, by calling the operator, but they could not track the call.

Received 4 phone calls from this number in the past 24 hours. I guess they really want to talk to me.  I received 2 last week and both times I answered, an auto recording said something about a free home security system.  Pain in the butt.
