I got a call today from this same group!! Said I had won a $5000.00 cruise in the Caribbean WOW??
Then they wanted me to void a check I said ok then they wanted the check number I gave them 1234 and then the Bank told them Wells Fargo then they said they needed the routing number and I asked why he then said that the check was not from Wells Fargo at that point I told him to STUFF IT

My husband and I just got off the phone with ALG. I had reservations about the program and the first girl we spoke with said her supervisor would answer any of our questions. Just as the other people the supervisor had us fill out a check. As soon as he asked for our routing number, I stopped to ask a question and he said he'll cancel our registration and hung up.

I work in a call center and Ive also worked at a bank, so when I talked to these people I was convinced they were a real company.....until I got to the "verification rep" they will ask you to write void on a check (which means nothing) and us it as a confirmation, which would be fine except they want you to give them all of the checking information. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CHECKING#....THAT IS A SCAM RIGHT OFF THE BAT... If you don't know of the company or who they deal with then never release your checking# over the phone most company never use that as a verification. After that the call was dropped. when they called back I asked why the # they used to call me (740-954-5039) was disconnected? The rep stated that it was a automated dialing device... (which have to use a real #) so I asked what dialing system they use.. (because I work with auto dialers) he said a variety of them....(another red flag most companies only us one dialing system) after he realized that I was no longer under the impression he was legit he hung up.
in summery dont give anyone your information over the phone unless you know the company and they can verify information to the point your comfortable and also here is all the # I was given
740-954-5039

Reached American Leisure Group, they have an inbound and outbound phone system, so the number I was called from is simply an outbound calling system so I can't call that back. The 888 number did go through, I was called imediately back and the issue was resolved completely. My Aunt is receiving a refund.
Thanks to John at American Leisure Group for his help. Sorry folks, I jumped the gun - NOT evil at all. I've had bad experiences from many other outfits taking advantage of her and NOT being responsive.
Thanks again American Leisure Group

Called my Aunt, she paid $958 for who knows what......I did leave a message and someone returned my call, but the number they called from is now disconnected and the 888 number above wont go through.... Sad, evil people.

My community is affected by this also. The ability to clone or mimic another (different) telephone number is publicly accessible. This scam extends internationally and limits our enforcement. Don't talk to these people.

The same people called my elderly father from 888-528-8567 stating they were from the American Legion. He thought he had won a vacation also.

Same thing happened to my elderly father and he DID give them all his checking account info. He called me thinking he had been scammed, so we went to the bank and had his account closed. Come to find out that this # 888-528-8567 is a company in Orlando, Fl. called ALG (American Leisure Group) with...well...let's just say a checkered past. Google them for yourself and see what you think. Truly scary stuff!

The people on the other end of the line called my elderly mother's phone allegedly calling from a travel agent with news that my mother had won 2 trips. All she needed to do was give this person on the phone her checking account number and bank routing number. She was in the process of doing just that, when my older sister stopped her from doing that.
Very scary stuff, because they had my Mom hook, line, and sinker!
