Exactly my thoughts as well. Today my 75 year old father got a highly serious call from this number saying they are Chase Bank and a payment needed to be made today immediately or it will be sent to collections first thing tomorrow. He didnt have any account information or reference number to give my dad for the check and insisted on getting a credit card or debit card number. My father refused and argued about it for at least 25 minutes. So, against my warnings to,my dad, he went into Chase Bank and gave them his card number requesting to make a payment to the account the man would give them by calling that number!  He also did not get a receipt even though I insisted he should and he assured me he wouldnt leave without one because they told him everything would be fine and posted properly to that account. They were all just fast talking him and he fell for it.. I dont know whats up with this number because I overheard  theis conversation over phone and had a very bad feeling about it all right from the start. They kept prying for his SS number and other personal information because they said they didnt have his account number handy yet somehow came up with a dollar amount they said he owed. Im sure this is a scam!!!

This is the third call I've received, the first wanted me to call:
(888)293-5321

And the second two:
(888)549-6881

As the other commenter did, I also confirmed these numbers have nothing to do with "Chase" (Chase security dept said it was a scam). I don't even have any cards with Chase and CC companies do not call you like this, so it was red alarms from the start.
One of them even messed up the script for the name of the card, she said, "I'm calling about your "Relevant Entertainment Visa Card"  ---how much you want to bet "relevant" meant she was suppose to insert an entertainment brand name there? ha.
Anyway, file a report with the FTC straightway, via their online complaint service. It's fast and easy.
These scams have a big risk problem in that they setup a 888 number, so there is a trail, and by reporting it you can help shut them down quickly.

I posted the above (Same Deal) note and just found out it wasn't a scam but rather a collection company from Chase.
The services person at Chase I first talked to didn't care to figure it out and told me the people calling were a scam which is why I posted above. They didn't have any reference to calling me, because my actual info wasn't the issue--read on.
It was only today that I hashed out everything.
On a fourth call from these people about a card/account I didn't have, the woman gave me more information that helped me figure out. She referenced an address/another phone that wasn't mine and realized my number was attached to someone else's account. I told her I thought they were scammers given their MO and didn't want to give any info. She said that was no problem and instead I should call Chase and verify with the Fraud Dept that my identity is not compromised and also see if this error came from them somewhere. I did this--and found everything was fine with Chase so they passed me to their Collections---which was these people. It looks like my problem is solved. My number on the wrong account.

This is most definitely a Collection Agency for Chase. It's just too bad that as a Collections Agency, they behave like scammers, so anyone with any sense won't give them their info--and rightfully so. Who gives personal info to a cold call over the phone?

Caller claims to represent Chase Corporate Card Services but cannot offer any firm evidence confirming this point.  Caller subsequently indicates a delinquent Corporate Card account exists under my name, but cannot provide any personal information.  Caller next indicates to call Chase Fraud services at 888-845-8840, however, like 888-549-6881, this is not a valid Chase phone number.  I subsequently contacted Chase via one of their valid phone numbers and they indicated they had not contacted me.  Long story short, this number appears to be tied to a fairly elaborate identity theft ring utilizing the phone as their primary method of attack.

I called back this number and asked which account...they then asked for my social security number so I hung up.  I then called back the next day and gave them a fake name and a fake SS number.  They typed up my number and told me that my account was in collections.  I asked which account and they told me account ending in 2432.  I asked again if my name and ss# matched their records, and they said yes.  I then told them it was strange because I just made up the name and number....HAHAHA....a lot of fun if you ask me!  Scam!!!!!

I have been contacted by this number.  Did not give them any info.  Instead I called the number on my chase card and asked to be transferred to the fraud department.  The fraud department confirmed this was not chase contacting me and advised me to check with the credit bureaus to make sure I was not compromised. 888-549-6881 is a scam

This is not "Chase",  but rather a scam. File a report with the FTC online complaint service, and of course, never give out your CC number or SSN.

It is Chase Bank and the reason they are calling you is because you are behind on your payments.

This is a Chase fraud dept. I confirmed by calling the Chase fraud number that's on my statement. Someone was fraudulently using my Chase card, that's why they called.

Got a call from some lady named Christie from Card Services  888 549 6881, said it was not a sales call and it was IMPORANT I call back.  So I called back just for laughs and the guys says "Card Services, can I have your 16 digit card number" I said no you can't, then he said he can also pull up the account by SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER!!!!  This is either a scan or a REALLY poorly run (legit) company...I think it is Chase trying to upsell some BS but it is pretty lame saying it is important that I call.  SO, I called 25 more times throughout the day to waste their time, I string them along for awhile then I hang up on them....kind a fun...
