A young lady talking faster than I could hear was trying to sell me home security services and when asked to remove me from thier call list hung up without acknowledging my request.  FCC here I come:)

Figure that out from experience? Perhaps you're this stereotypical "American" you speak of!

Answer for a recording talking about giving away free in home security crap in my area. Then they start asking for personal information. Don't believe it, even if they do come out to you I guarantee it's a scam and they're either going to steal your identity, or case your house and rob it.

I got a call from 888-555-5572 this morning. It was a robocall selling insulation or siding (I don't remember which.) It says to press "one" to speak to someone, so I did cuz I'm sick of these scam calls. Well, you don't get a real person. It's more robogal saying this time to press "three" to talk to a representative. Well you don't get a real person then either. You'll here "Thank You for participating" and the phone call ends. I was peeved & called my bank first to make sure my account via my cell phone wasn't drained & advice for if they do raid me. Shortly after this phone call I got a call from 317-222-3395.Someone posted (under the 317-222-3395 comments) to call 307-223-0458 to stop the calls. I'm going to try that too. I didn't answer it but looked it up under this forum (800 notes) & found they're a scam too. So they may be connected to that first call. So today I'm going to call the FCC again. I called them yesterday because of another scam that keeps calling, "Credit Card Services" or "Card Services" using (so far) 3 different numbers: 949-505-2662, AND 714-408-3640, AND 612-808-5670. Press "one" for a real person, but they're nasty, some threaten people. I reported them to the FCC: 877-382-4357. Got a real person after pressing 2 diff. "selections".  We should all band together & put ALL of them out of business!

just got a call.  ignored it.  anyting that starts with 55555 is junk, don'tchya think?

I have also gotten calls from 888-555-5572 I thought it was weird because there isn't supposed to be any numbers with a 555 prefix. When I answered no one was there and when I tried to call back, got a message saying that the number doesn't work.  BEWARE!  These people also call from the number.
480-350-9910  This isn't a free service they are offering and thank goodness I didn't try and accept it.

Some digging turned up that they are the newly renamed version of "Protect America, Inc" which is a company with a BAD reputation online.

They keep calling my business trying to sell me a security system, but they're looking for homeowners.

Received an automated call two days ago saying hit 1 to speak to a representative, then repeating that I hit 3 to speak to someone.  I had to hit the sequence 1-3-3 in total.  It then hung up.  Later in the evening I received a call from someone wanting to sell me a home security system.  I told them not to market my information and not to call back, ever.  I also informed them that my line is recorded.  

Yesterday I received two of these calls. Both handled the same way as the initial person who called.  The last time I informed them I would be suing and sending a bill for my services and time.  I have a recording of this call.  

Today I received this call at 10:15am eastern, and I recorded this call as well.  They claim to be based in "Orange County, CA".  He said he did not have a mailing address available, and when informed that he was obligated to provide a mailing address by law he reiterated that he did not have a mailing address available, and then hung up on me.

Same deal again.

Announced themselves as Home Security Network and asked about whether I was a homeowner, and interested in a wireless home security system at a promotional price, where I'd only be liable for the monthly maintenance cost of around $35-45/month.

I asked who they were and where they were from, and the young lady said "California" (nothing more specific).  I asked about calling them back  and she said they were "only a call center" and had I ever heard of "ADP" (not sure if I heard that right).  

She asked if I was interested in the promotional price on their product, they'd connect me with a supervisor in my area who could fill me in on the details, but if I called in I wouldn't get the promotional price (and anyway she didn't give me a number).  I said it wasn't convenient to get calls at work, and she pressed for whether she could call me later at 5, or at 6, or tomorrow morning, but I said I wasn't comfortable receiving calls at work, and I'd be happy to call her back.  She said I could check the web, and I was in the process of asking her what to search for on the web when she hung up.

Unwanted solicitation from 8885555572.  They don't seem to want to go away!

Same number.  Same product. Same problem!

some company want to sell home security system.  probably dialing random numbers cuz he didnt even know who to ask for and want to know who he was talking to.  told him i was someone wanted off their call list.  jack*** ignored me and kept right pitching the sale.  i had to yell at him several times to take me off the call list and threated to report them to FCC before he claimed he "already took me off."  LIAR!!!  He was still trying to sell when i hung up
