Just got a call from same company. I was blown away by how rude they were to me and then accused me of being defensive. They call on an account that was paid in full 10yrs ago with no issue. The very in professional "man child" I spoke with even had the audacity to tell me that I needed to be a big girl and pay my bills! I couldn't believe what I was hearing! Seriously this would be a great job for anyone who has no moral compass with a serious "little man" issue!

I got a call (as well as several other family members) from this co.  Mine had a case number against a man named "Jason".  Other members got a call from the same company asking for a "reference" for Jason.  None of us know any Jason.  I called back when I knew they weren't there and left a voice mail to remove my number from their list.  Sounds like they are calling everyone in the state with the same last name in hopes of finding this "Jason."

I got a call from restricted  so i didnt answer , they left voice mail and a very rude threaten message for me to call back , when i did  call back  they would give me any info  but kept asking me if my SS# was  blank blank and if my address was ....  I said what is this about?? he wouldnt tell me at first  he kept going around and around  with the threats that they had tried to serve me with legal papers and accused me of not going to the door , i explained that We had filed Chapter 13 and he needed to call my Attorney. He said no  he kept threating and saying I had to go to court monday morning and that they were coming to my house right now to serve me
i called my attorney and they called them and attorney said if i get any more calls to let them know
they threatened them with legal action
My attorney said he didnt think they were even a legal company since they were very unprofessional in their
actions.

It's a debt collector.  They called us looking for someone else, probably an old number

Received the same call as others only my call was from Michelle.  No idea what this is about.  Nothing on my credit report about a collection account.

well the call i got yesterday was a scam..told me i had opened a credit card account  i don't have credit cards only a debit card from my local bank

I have received the same call as well and when I called the number back I spoke with a man who was very rude and he even hung on me.  I called back and got someone different and explained to me what the issue was.  I was very aware of the debt that they were referring to.  I took care of it with them in installments and I checked my credit report and the debt is no longer there.

i was just reading your blog and thought id write back i had the same exact call today and the girl told me that if i didnt set up a payment on debit, credit card or bank check that they would serve me with a summons and i would be in court on monday morning..i went on and on and asked questions but they kept going around in circles when i asked them how they got our cell phone when the account is in my daughters name and they told me an address in nj was where i lived when this bogus account was to have been opened right there i knew something was up because my husband and i sold that house in 2002 to a builder he knew and we moved to florida...in 2003 that house was torn down and a house was built on that corner lot but facing the other direction so that address does not even exist anymore...i think it pretty sad that theres people out there that are scamming probably most elderly people...my husband and i are 63 and 73 years of age but i still hold a 6days a week job and i know how to do searches on the computer when i think im being scammed..someone should be able to destroy those peoples lives before they get to alot more innocent people....

It is probably a company called URG. I am trying to get information from them but they refuse to give any. Just threats of lawsuits and debt.

Urgent message on my answering machine from Earl Bradley about a complaint filed against me for legal action.  No company name mentioned. He called my cellphone, which I answered & wouldn't give his company name, so I told him it was a wrong #. The only thing this could possibly be about is a 12yr old credit card debt that my ex-husband was responsible for. It much have been sold to another debt collector. In this economy - good luck getting payment on any debt that old.

Called stating that an action against me was pending.  Said her name was Kimberly Alvarez.  The number appeared in the caller ID as "Blocked" on my cell phone.  I'm assuming this is a creditor as I had some credit card trouble 12 years ago, but resolved it.  Still, I receive these calls from bogus collection agencies from time to time.  They must sell my info over and over again.  What a world we live in...
