I had my Pandora cranked up high and figured I would share with the next DOOSH telemarketer who called.  This number came up...after the requisite boiler room delay some DOOSH got on the phone saying he wanted to speak to the person who handled the electric bill.

"So Far Away" from Dire Straits was playing at the time.  After 15 seconds or so the guy hung up.

He's not a D.S. fan, apparently.  I hope that the next time he calls something he likes will be playing...maybe something by The Bangles???

Said they were from the electric company and could take 10% off for 12 months.

Got a call from 888-565-4489 and "Dorothy" claimed to be from BGE. She asked for my BGE account number so I can save about 1.5% off my electric bill.

I DID NOT provide the info she asked for. In turn, I asked if could call her back knowing this is a fraudulent call. She gave me this number to call back 973-929-3295.

I hope the authorities would go after these fraudulent callers.

NO message was left, but got this number calling me at work, when I called back it said Thank you for calling Choice Energy

trimeds.com    preying on the elderly and the not so elderly.   wait til THEY get old!!

Get a google voice account and have it just send that number to a voice mailbox you never use. Problem solved.

Just got my call.  "Can I speak to the person who handles your CL&P bill." (Our electricity company in the state).  Told him he had the wrong number and hung up.

got a call from  8885654489 .. left a 3 sec 'non message' .. called back with the *67 to hide my cell.. they answered.. Choice Energy.. how may I direct your call... So I don't know why they called me..

These people are relentless.. They always ask to speak to the person in charge of the UI electric bill.  We told them numerous times to stop calling. They don't care.  Next time I'll tell them we don't have electricity and see how long it takes them to figure that out!!!

This is Choice Energy cold calling for United Illuminating (the southern Connecticut electric utility).  Funny though, I am not a UI customer, and this unlisted unpublished number is private and not attached to any bills in any way.  The number on my electric utility bill is of our corporate office in NC.

When I asked the person to place me on the do-not-call registry, they hung up.  Called back and I was told that they were authorized by UI to call me.  Funny... I am NOT a UI customer.  I was assured that my number would be put on the do not call list.

Calls claiming to be local electric provider (UI).  Asked what the call was in regard to and she kept replying/asking whom she was speaking with.  If you called me and are from my electric company, shouldn't you know my name?  Duh.  Hung up.

Was called 6 times within 4 days from this number.  Each time no voicemail was left.  The last time I answered the phone and then was hung up on.  I called the number back and received an automated response: "Thank you for calling Choice Energy, please wait for the next available...." Once a person actually answered, they apologized for the hang-up and blamed the computer/automated dialer and then proceded to tell me their schpeal..... "....you are eligible to receive a discount of you electric bill for the next 24 months if you are a PECO or PP&L customer, are you a PECO or PP&L customer?"  I told them that I do not pay for my electric, that it was included with my rent, and they said they would make a note of it and I hung up.  Very annoying!

these people call constantly. they are using other means of trying to obtain information from you. Like  maybe an electric co, gas, or phone , even medical bills. however they do not id themselves or inform you of their name and number. when number is called back you get a voice mail with no othre instructions. this is highly annoying and upsetting.  i do not wish to entertain foolishness. times are too hard.

Must be switch hitters. Took 5 hellos on our part to get a response. The voice finally asked if we wanted to save 12 to 17% on our United Illuminating bill. She claimed we received full information about this offer in our last bill -which we hadn't- and she was calling because we hadn't filled out the forms and returned them. I said I hadn't received the forms, but if I do my family secretary will handle whatever is necessary. She hung up.

I get the same thing. Today has been about three times. All the same, no one on the other end.

This number has continuously called our business about 11 times now for the last 2 days with nobody on the other end of the line when we answer.  Have not been able to find out who is calling through my searches, but they need to stop

yellowpages.com  - Just had a call from this number from some jerk who wanted to verify my business listing and offer me a free website on their page.

I keep getting this number calling and they never leave a message, very annoying!

This caller has called me at lest 3 times a day for the last week.

Complete fraud. Calling now for three Medicare Insurance Companies from Iowa. Said they were the top"#" but when I said, United, Blue Cross, and Banker's Life were bigger, she had no clue. I told her what she could do with her quote. She called me back to repeat it; what a class act.

stop calling they call for surveys, then pretend to gather information for the yellow pages.  at times they call but no one is on the other line.  I have lots of service calls to take care and tired of the harrasement

Female wanted to know if would answer two election questions.  This is one of at least 15 election calls that are made to my home PER day.  Should be illegal.

even reverse phone lookup couldn't identify it.  pain in the necks, no answer.  i'll just add it to my 'do not answer" list.  i type the number in my phone and save it with that name!!

They keep calling , I am 70+ yrs old. Then hang up.
