This telemarketing company using magazine subscriptions as identity verification. Debt collectors pay them to confirm identity, telephone, address, members of family. It helps in pursuing debt collection when people stop answering phone or change address. Resources are used more efficiently.

They called me today and said that b/c I was such a loyal customer I won 6 magizine subscriptions for only 4 bucks a month. I dont recieve any magizines or ever heard of this company

I have gotten several calls from them recently but I just don't answer. Hopefully they will give up soon.

Have had several calls from this number. Not only are they rude and belligerent, but hung up in me when I asked to remove my name from the list. The woman on the phone used VERY foul language, even used racial remarks. All from asking to remove my number. I have registered on the "donotcall" list, but they continue to call....

Called back after seeing that others have had success talking to the company. Although polite, the lady did not really allow me to get a word in edgewise, which would have resulted in me telling them to remove me from any and all calling lists. Stated that since I was a "long-time, good-standing customer" of at least one of the major credit cards, that I was picked to receive an MP4 player, magazines, and other garbage, for only S&H. Told them I wasn't interested, and started to say that I wanted to be removed when she asked me why I wasn't interested. Definitely will answer the phone next time to demand that I be removed from their list...

Calling me being rude. Want to be  removed from their calling list asap!

Calls every day, doesn't leave a message

They called me today.  I hung up and called back, they then told me the company name . Express information systems.  I filed a complaint with national do not call list

I just now called them back asking them to quit calling me as I was on the National Do NOt Call regristry & the lady was a nasty a$$ rude A$$ BEOTCH!!!

This number keeps calling my daughters phone....out needs to stop c!!#!!

They called me today wanting me to subscribe to Playboy and give them a CC number....NOT!

After posting here, I researched the company name (given by a previous poster on this thread) and found a phone number to call to talk to someone there.  

In case anyone may want to call them to have their number removed, it's: 800-701-9127, then dial 0 for the operator.

I don't know if it worked yet, but I was able to speak to someone who took the number and confirmed our name on their list and assured me that nobody would call me again.  

I guess only time will tell.... good luck everyone!

They called me too, several times a day.  They asked for my husband and when I said I was Mrs. xxx, they hung up on me.  I tried calling the number back a few times, but after a couple of seconds of hearing people in the background, it hangs up on me.

Does anyone know how to get through to them to have my number removed from their list?

Called me twice so far today. Asked for me by my last name, then hung up. When I return the call, I hear voices in the background for about 2 seconds for somebody at the other end hangs up.

These a$$holes called me twice today. The second time they called, they hung up after I said 'hello, who is this?'. I called them back twice and said I would report them to the NY State Police if they called again.
I suggest calling them from time to time and asking them if they want to buy some crap.
The number is 888-568-3078 - they will answer.

This number 1-888-568-3078 KEEPS CALLING.  NEVER leaves a message.  Does anyone know who it is?

This stupid number calls me everyday, once a day and I'm tired of getting calls from them. I hear people talking in the background and then the call(s) end.

This company is called Express Information Systems. They work for Herst Magazines. If you've ever ordered a magazine or sent a request for one, these guys might have your information. They were actually very professional with me on the phone. I asked for the supervisor and a Steve came to the phone and took my number off of their calling list.

Don't ever call back an unknown number

The number called me and hung up. I called back and when they answer you can hear a bunch of people in the background talking so i said " i hear hear you idiots" a young male finally came over the line and said "are you talking to yourself like that?" I continued "Im talking to  you dumbass" we proceeded to argue about this number calling me at least 3 times a day. The man then started swearing at me and also calling me racial slurs. I hung up and called back and spoke with a woman who told me that i was a liar and that this had been the first time i had called today...it was the forth time i had called back.At the end of everything i told the woman what the first man did and how unprofessional it was for him to treat me that way. I then told her to take me off the call list. My advice would be to just keep calling the number back until you finally talk to someone, then just tell that person to put you on the "do not call list". Even better just ask for a supervisor.
