I have been with Direct TV since September 2012 but had some issues so I called them yesterday and got it straightened out. All of a sudden I get numerous hang up calls from this number. I called them explained it to them and they removed me from the calling list.  Thanks for posting.

Same experience,   Did some price checking with Direct Tv yesterday, declined their request to switch from Dish,   Also recieved 3 calls from this 888 number and 2 more  from 707-541-9190 which is also associated with a possible scam and is a call center in Nevada.     Put them both on my phones reject list.

Scammer may be picking up the leads from a credit reporting agency.  I'm pretty sure Direct TV does a credit check before they offer a price.

got a call from this number today. It is because if me calling direct tv yesterday asking about prices. I gave the guy on the phone (who was really rude) my neighbors address and i just put this number on my do not answer setting on my iPhone.

ID showed Toll Free Call...which I do not answer; called the number back, and got a robot telling me they wanted to set up my DirecTV account....Hmmmm...Don't hold your breath waiting for me to give you my business...
I did have an account with them awhile back, and they're pressing the time limit to call since I 'm on DNC....When I cancelled, I sent them an e-mail...they said they couldn't disconnect that way...I had to call; I told them it was fine...don't disconnect...but as of this moment I was no longer going to pay them...POOF...no more service...Imagine that!!!!

i CALLED tIME wARNER CABLE LAST NIGHT AND THEN i GOT A CALL TWICE FROM THIS #. i DIDN'T ANSWER EITHER. BE CAREFUL.

It is not Direct TV - it is Satellite Sales, a company that takes phone numbers from people who call Direct TV and don't purchase a service.  Kind of a give us another chance and we'll make you another offer.  I purchased the Direct TV system but on the third call - so I must have moved over the SS call list on the first call.  

I told the gentleman at SS when I called back (they left no message) that they were not to call me again, I got an apology and I was told that all I had to say was not to call back and they would honor that.  Hope so, otherwise the installer doesn't get through the door next week.  If they don't call I don't have a problem with a follow up call - they were willing to offer another discount - but I'll just stay direct with Direct.

Need to be taken off this call list.

Same exact thing....I called to compare prices vs. my cable company.  Didn't sign up after some pretty hard pressure and then got back to back phone calls this morning within 20 seconds of each other.   Also, yesterday after talking to Direct TV, I got a follow up call from someone and it all seemed fishy.  Not sure what's going on there but will not be signing up for Direct TV anytime soon.

I have received 2 called from (888) 569-5721 today.  I also tried to Sign up with Direct TV, but their printed communication is not only misleading, it is dishonest.  They offered 19.95 per month, but then on the phone they said you had to qualify.
No where on the written communication does it indicate you have to QUALIFY. Therefore, I declined their service, Now they are stalking my cell phone

Same thing I called Direct TV this am to get prices and I just got a call from the number 888-569-5721 did not answer because I don't answer numbers I don't know, but from the stories above it is the same scam.

My brother Called Direct TV lastnight and all is final for hook up for this Saturday then today he gets a call from 888-569-5721 asking for the info again and he hung up on them and they called back saying they need his social security number again..... so he thought it was really them so he gave SS number again and the caller said now don"t hang up and listen to the next step and the caller hung up on him.... so he called all 3 credit agencies and now has a fraud alert on his credit file..... not sure wants going on here but seems like after you call direct TV this 3rd party will call and act like them.  People its NOT direct TV... be carful and dont do what my brother did.... Just hang up on them!   Im wondering at this point with someone within Direct TV is passing the phone numbers on to these crooks!?!? B*****DS!!!!!!!

I too called Direct tv last night , well I'm choosing them anyways because they are higher priced and don't explain things thoroughly until you start having them answer your questions.

Direct  TV. I called sales yesterday to find out their prices, after an hour and a half of interrogation they told me the prices. I asked them NOT to put my cell phone number on their records. They told me they  would not. Today I am getting calls from their telemarketers. They are not an honorable company and can't be trusted.

Tom, MR is correct.  I received two calls twice yesterday.  The first was from 714-380-3113 and the second from 888-569-5721 both times.  No messages left.  I had also called Direct TV the night before and did NOT sign up.  I definitely WILL NOT BE signing up with them!

Yip I got two calls within an hour ... they just hung up when I answered each time .... I did speak with a sales rep from Direct TV yesterday but I did not sign up with them ... So if MR. is correct then my call might be corroboration ... anyway ... they could have at least identified themselves.
