Yep, got a call from these criminals this afternoon. They use multiple numbers, which is easy to do thanks to deregulation and computers. They can NOT take you to jail, the debt is most likely FICTITIOUS, and they can't even sue you because they don't reside in your home town, and they have no standing to take you to court. I know it's tough, they can be threatening and they can get to your family and employer, but hold strong and contact the FTC and your state attorney general's office ASAP to report the harassing call. Also, if they do mention a PDL company you supposedly defrauded, contact the company directly - several payday loan companies have forms to fill out as they, too, believe it or not, are victimized by these fraudsters.

Prg called and Travis left a message stating that there is a civil complaint against my ss number. Looks like he won't be getting a call back.

Scam. I DID take out a payday loan over a year ago and paid it off in 2 weeks. They sold my info to these companies and I. Have been dealing with these phone calls for over 9 months now. The fact is, they lie. There is nothing they can do to you even if you owe the money they cannot send the police to arrest you. The court deals with this matter not the police. Also' it is not theft to write a bad check to a payday loan place. If the person receiving the hot check knows it is hot when you write it, then it cannot be considered a bad check under the hot check laws. Check it out. This is not a criminal matter it is a civil matter and you will not be arrested.

I do not answer these calls but get voice mails saying I owe PRG (never heard of them) & only hae 24 hrs before they turn me over to last process which probably means jail. Have no idea who they are.

?Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. That is illigeal. They cannot threaten you like that. They are to abide by debt collection laws and they are breaking them talking to you this way. Google it and when they call you again, let them know. A shame!

This company is a scam. They have been calling me and family members that I NEVER give phone numbers out for. They have a BBB bage where you can look at their rating. They are NOT accredited with BBB, so if they state otherwise, it's a LIE.

kept getting calls from this number stating that I would lose my job and all benefits with that and wanted to know more info where I work and more info on my personal info and kept using all different kinds off pressure tatics  cuz I wouldn't give them the time of day

Got a message about important information and to call this number 866-364-6516.  Have dealt w/these phone calls before and each time I'm asked to verify my social security number (which I won't do) before they can disclose what information they need to give me.  Total scam?they have yet to send me any documentation on this supposed loan I took out years ago???

Received calls at home and at work. They have been relentless. I spoke with a woman who stated that she was willing to settle for 75% of the money owed on a payday loan. I informed her that I was NOT the individual she needed to speak with and she continued with her pressure tactics. I refused to give her any bank information and she became obviously irritated and threatening. I will be securing an attorney to have them cease and desist. Calling my employer and threatening me with legal action for something I had no knowledge of is deplorable and reprehensible.

These people called me today and scared the heck out of me!! They sound so official and even make threats how can I go after them and stop them with this harrassment!!

Got called today mr.Nowaka.said I had a claim aginst my social.I was going to get a summons for curt.If i didnt call by 11am mon.it was very cut up in and out call.

Keep getting repeated calls from this company stating that I took out a payday loan and didn't pay it back, of course I was unemployed at the time of this supposed loan so not sure how I got a payday loan.  When I asked for a letter of debt from either them or the company I took out the supposed loan from I got told that "we don't do letters of debt."  Since I asked for the information in writing they have stated that I would be arrested for fraud.

Getting calls from this bogus company.  I called the company they said they were representing and that company said, "WE DO NOT deal with this company", "its must be a scam"  I did get a moment of being an idot and gave them my card number believeing them, but after I authorized for them to take out $20.00, because that's all I had in my account, they proceeded to take another $5.00 out without that being authorize per my bank.  I called my bank and since it was still in the process of being paid they stopped it, put a block on my card and I got my money back.  This bogus BGR company was going to take out more money on my pay day, but since I put a block on it, they didn't get another penny out of me and never will.  DO NOT BELIEVE THEM, THEY ARE SCAM LOSERS.  The caller the first time said her name is Alicia Reese and left a messag for me to call back the number, but when I had called the person who answered didn't even know who Alicia Reese was and made me talk to a person named Mr. Nowavek???? He didn't even know who I was and only wanted to know which number they had called.  Crazy people.

Report the calls to the FTC, the FBI and your state's Attorney General.  Let your workplace know (print up this thread and give to them) that you're the victim of harassment by scammers.  When the scammers call back, let them know that all calls they make to you are being recorded.

It's a scam.  The police are not in the business of collecting debts.

Repeatedly receive calls at work even after I told them that I cannot receive calls at work.  Will contact an attorney if this continues.

I've been getting phone calls from this company too..They are saying they are the Police Dept. For the company below doing the same as thing as the complainant above..Same Phone Numbers, and same threat
