The same scam different # 844-828-7808. Tip off was that the did not ask for anyone by name. The caller ID'D himself as Charles Clay and said he would go to my job and have 2 forms of ID. I am retired so it would be impossible for them to find me at work.

Where can i file a complaint? I am getting the same calls
SHOCKED AT FIRST, BUT NOT NO MORE 2014-02-27 17:21:17 Unknown
I received a call from 855-204-0961, which a man said in a very professional and intimidating voice, "This is Christopher stone calling from legal caring services. I have a summons in hand for you and I'm scheduled to go to your home AND place of employment within the next 24-48 hours. Please make yourself available with 2 forms of identification. If you are served at work a supervisor or head of security will need to be available to sign off as a witness. Please be advised that failure to sign will result in a missed court appearance. Any questions or concerns contact the party that is filing against you at 855-204-0961. OKAY.... When first hearing the message I was shocked and thinking what is going on d. After working very hard, I currently do not have any delinquent debt. So I thought since I am a nurse, maybe I needed to go to court for some legal situation. I researched Legal Caring Services online and it appeared as if this whole thing was a scam with many other complaints found. I called my Mom and she knew right away that it was a scam. 1st of all, when you are "served" court papers, although anyone can serve you, they must have the appropriate paperwork, and when you are served you do not need to show identification, the person serving you will ask if you are "so and so" and if you say yes then you get the papers, (I was served 2 years ago and when I answered the door it was a sheriff and he DID NOT ask me for identification. 2nd, if you are served you will not receive a call from anyone (However, you will receive calls from debt collectors way before a court summon is initiated and they leave detailed information on how to contact them and who they are); This Christopher dude, just says if you want contact the party filing against you then call ..... SCAM). OKAY so I could go on for a while here...BOTTOM line these scammers are trying to get you on the phone to ask you to verify personal information (date of birth, social security number etc)and once they get the information they GOT YOU! NEVER GIVE ANYONE YOUR DOB OR SS #OVER THE PHONE OR EMAIL (unless the email is a secured site) These scammers will NOT be coming to your house or place of employment I guarantee it. I just blocked the number and I do not plan to call them back. Scamming people has been around for centuries, but now with the use of internet and text it has become much easier for the scammers to scam. (My mom work for a very reputable bank and she said that recently a scam happened where someone was able to send text messages looking very much like the text were coming from her bank) It is very scary, but remember be very reluctant to give any person information to anyone and research research look it up. Listen to what your body is telling you and when in doubt DONT GIVE IT OUT.

I just had the same call saying they were going to show up in 24 - 48 hours with summons. The number for the person or company filing complaint doesn't exist. Everyone needs to be aware of this. Little do they know they are dealing with an attorney in the family person. I dare them to call again.

A voice mail was left on my home phone number, 02/04/2014 @ 4:46pm. The caller identified himself as Charles. I can not make out the last name. He states he is with Legal Caring Services. He states "in the next 24 to 48 hours you will be served with a subpena at your home or your place of business. If we serve you at work, you must have a security guard or a manager sign us in. You must have two forms of ID. If you do not accept this summons you may miss information concerning a lawsuit against you. You can call 877 644-9642 for more information." OK first I was taken aback thinking someone is coming to my place of employment to serve a summons? Then I listened again to the message, blocked my outgoing phone number, and called the 877 644=9642 number. When the phone finally picks up there isn't any identification of who you have reached, just a message to leave your information. Of course I hung up. Just so you know, if you hit *67 prior to making your call, you should hear some double clicking. As soon as you hear this sound, you should be able to make your call without your phone number showing. I have it as a free service.Don't know if it is the same everywhere.
PEOPLE, PLEASE DO NOT FEEL THREATENED. IF YOU REALLY DID DO SOMETHING WRONG, GET BEHIND PAYMENT OF A DEBT, A SHERIFF WILL SERVE A SUMMONS, NOT SOME NUT JOB.
IF IN DOUBT, DON'T PAY OUT!!!
Elspeth 2013-12-11 08:42:28 Unknown
Nope - no one is given a heads up they'll be served - the process server just shows up, unannounced. No, you don't need two forms of ID. And no, you do not need a supervisor or manager as a "witness" if you're at work. Please do report your callers to the FTC, FBI, Dept of Justice and your state's Attorney General.

There was a message on my phone exactly like that described by above posts from mad and Tana Minnick.
The number showed as 000-000-0000. This scam is bilking tons of vulnerable people and scaring many more.
Please, please, the appropriate authorities need to find a way to put these guys out of business and bring charges against them. Thank goodness I was able to check them out on the internet and learn the facts. Many people, especially the elderly, are not that fortunate.

On Sept. 25, the same Sharon Parsons called me, she had to say her name twice...someone needs to stop these people...and what number comes up as 0000000000?
Annoyed 2013-09-24 18:32:33 Unknown
Some girl called saying her name was Sharon Parsons with Legal Caring Services. Said I was going to be served. Left the number 855-420-8338 to call. It is a scam & anyone who receives calls from these people need to contact their states' Attorney General's office. They all have Consumer Protection departments to deal with lowlife's like this.

I got a voice mail rmessage today from somebody who identified herself as Olivia Watson from Legal Caring Services. The story was the same story that most stories here, talking about a summons. However she did not said who she wanted to talk to, neither who the summon was for, but asked to call 855-393-3793 for the filing party and be ready with 2 forms of ID. I checked my caller ID to know the origin of this phone call, and the number was 630-995-9299.

Sick & Tired 2013-04-09 22:14:09 Unknown
K,
They are not suppose to call you at work, report them. If you are going to be served papers, they will just show up at home usually. They usually one try and serve you at work only if they are unsuccessful in serving you at your home (they usually a couple of times), there are no phone calls.

This is all BS. I wonder if these courier people know they are aiding a scam phantom debt collectors. They keep calling me also, and I have already paid off my pay day loan a long time ago. I should tell them that they are in more legal trouble then I ever will be.

my caller called himself john shmick he had to say it twice, (maybe he couldn't belive he was using that name) and he was an all white dweeb american- judging by how he talked- he claim to be a state legal courier and he will be at my home and work etc. the thing that trip him up was that he was serving this for someone else and to call them to fix this but the number he gave was the same he called from on my calller id_ funny
Evie 2013-01-08 18:28:46 Unknown
Again, it's a phantom company who tries to scare people into paying an old invalid debt that is completely uncollectable. They use these scare tacticts because they will work on people from time to time and it makes this worth their time. Each time I receive one of these calls, I call the FTC with their phone numbers and contact information and the calls will stop for a while but then they will just start back up with another company. Ignore them.

Got a call from this number and I do not know why. I understand it might be a debt collector but they are calling me at work and telling me they are going to serve papers.
ann 2013-01-07 22:42:37 Unknown
They call but dont say who they are calling for just that they have papers to serve and that an immediate supervisor need be present to sign off on said papers. They say that said papers will be served with in 24 to 48 hours at work or place of residence. Ending the call with You have been notified. Who has been notified? Still dont know who they were calling for
