Continual unwanted calls placed with my mother, brother, sister in law and brother's friends etc.  After reading other recipients information will not call back The contact person is named Shane.

Ok, here's what pisses me off....these people somehow got my address, somehow got my un-published phone number, then started blowing up my phone day and night! Here's the best part....I'm not the guy they're lookin for...We have the same name, and live in the same state, but that's it....The guys lucky I don't report him for fraud at the sherriffs department, which u can do because he lied about who he was and claimed he was with my bank, which by the way id love to know how he knows I bank there, and requested to my full social security number to verify I wasn't the person he claimed to be looking for! My response was as follows....ahem...."f*** off man, who the f*** are you to call me and threaten me with someone elses debt.... I've worked very hard for my money, I own my own house free and clear, my own car free and clear, I have zero credit cards so there's no way I have credit carfd debt, and I pay my bills early and often more than due to avoid not paying enough...don't call me with ur b***s*** lies or ill come down to there to your office and u aren't going to like me very much at this point because I have anger issues when it comes to lying little bi****s such as yourself..." his response? "Click"... Score one for the little man! Lol I hate a***oles like that.

I also pay my bills. But my parents had a mortgage on their house. Unfortunately, they didn't live long enough to pay it off. For 6 years this company has been trying to get me to pay the loan. My name is not on anything. I didn't even kow my parents had a mortgage until they passed away and trust me, they didn't have anything left to pay off a loan. I have done everything asked by this company from providing sibling addresses, lawyer information and even signing a letter brought to me by a sherriff that the house was going to be sold at a sherriff sale. Please do. I want nothing to do with that house. Yesterday, don't they start the calls again. It takes a long time to be able to work through the unexpected death of a parent and everytime this company starts trying to collect again, all of the earlier pain comes back. For the last 6 years, someone who needed a home could have been living in this house. Maybe it's time they give up unless they know how to raise people from the dead.

These people are Debt Collectors, and I assume you know that since most of you have done the research. Perhaps you should pay your bills and those calls will stop or not exsist at all. Seems simple enough. They have the right to locate the non-payer and tell them to pay. If you are the relative or person they contact looking for the other person, do the right thing and tell them where that person is. If I borrowed/spent the money, it is only fair I pay it back, and so should you/them. No one gets a free-ride in life! If people paid their debts the economy would SOAR! Banks would open up more lending and interest rates would go down. But, the more people cheat the bank, the higher the interest rate will go! WE all will pay the price then- ALL of US! But no one thinks like that. All people want to do us complain.

They called me today, wanting to know my work information.  They also harassed me , about my income if i didn't pay off what i owed they were going to take my refund away.  Which I think its a scam, and he just wanted to scare me.  They are very rude people , So please do not give them any of your info.  at all.  or answer their calls.

Whoever this is called a number in Kentucky and left a message for me to call. I live in another state and no associated with this person in Kentucky. Identified herself as a Barbara Thompson 1-888-593-8407 ext 2567. I have no idea who would be calling me or use such an outrageous tactic. She also stated that this person in Kentucky was the next person on her list. What list? Does not make any sense whatsoever.  She gave another number of 270-977-8220.
Something should be done about scams such as this one.

They called my next door neighbor of my childhood home, and told her that they were with United Recovery Services and her name was Rochelle Jones.  I haven't lived at my childhood home for over 5yrs, and I can't believe they would contact a third party and disclose financial information- it's only easy to figure out they were calling about a debt!  By neighbor- very worried called my mother and told her what had happened.

This company called me today about my son. They would not say what it was, just they wanted to talk to him (they said her) about 'business', that it was not a sales call. They wanted my sons phone number, which they already had. They asked me to give him the message. I took their number, but will not after reading the above, give him this message.

Caller calls and leaves a message stating, "this is Dennis Girard, please give me a call at 888-593-8407 xtn:2244".  No other identifying info provided but talks like you should know the caller.  Calls like this at a coporate office are not returned.

Had a call from them several weeks ago..I refuse to answer. Say they are with Cap One...They eventually called my mother..which really mad me mad. I contacted them back today..and spoke to a nasty woman..and pretty much had an attitude about everything. She didn't seem real legit. I finally refused to talk to her anymore and asked to speak to someone else. And got the run around. I was also threatened to be sued for my $1000 I owe...

Okay, just did some more research.  Apparently, this company is called United Recovery Systems, LP, headquartered in Texas with a branch office in Oklahoma.  Their Oklahoma address is:

I got a call from 888-593-8407 from a man who identified himself as Bob Elliott at x2865.  I asked him where he was calling from, and he said "Oklahoma."  He was purposely being evasive and trying not to give me his company name, which I eventually got him to tell me was URS, although I didn't find out what that stood for, and I couldn't find a URS in Oklahoma on the internet.  I asked him outright if he was calling from a collection agency, and he said, "No."  Liar.  I asked him what the call was regarding, and all he would say was "personal."  I told him I'd pass his number on to a contract employee, but now that I saw the previous messages, I'm not going to.

Keeps calling and asking for someone no one knows. It's a collection company.
