We got a lengthy call on our answering machine.  "Mr. Thomas" wanted us to return his phone call From "FC and Associates a processing office" regarding a case we may be a reference for or implicated on the file.  He then asked us to call him back at 888-594-0074 Ext. 364.
I WILL NOT call this number back and I will save the message.  Wondering if anyone out there has found out exactly what kind of company they are.
We don't know of anyone who is being sued or any references we have given in years.

People dont trust them!!!!!!!! THey are the same law firm that was operating under Kristin Swanson Mace! Dont give them any money or any info! Ignore them and call your Attorney General to report them. Please look up the name Kristin Swanson Mace and you will see dozens of reports on these people. I fell in to their lies and gave them over 1500 until I looked on the web and saw what was going on and now they call me operating under a new name.  The card they said I had dosent even show up in anyones records. THese people are liars and cant send you to jail dont be a fool please! Dont let them harass you fight back demand them to send you a debt validation letter!!!!!!!!!!

I was a little concerned about this company as well but that was after I paid them over 500.00 dollars on a debt that I do owe. So before I made anymore payments I told them to send me a letter of the debt I owe & the arrangement I setup with them faxed to my office. They sent the letter the following day explaining my arrangement with them and what I owed. So now i'm wondering if I should continue paying them since I have proof of my debt and the arrangement we agreed on. Then once it's paid I can send the letter to the Credit Bureau. What should I do because I do owe the debt and I would like to take care of it.

I also got a call from 1-888-594-0074 (Christine from FC and Associates, ext 363) saying it was regarding "very sensitive" information and to please call them back. I will not call them. I take it this is a bogus company.

I got a call from "Mrs. Jones with FC and Associates".  They told me the were a "firm" and told me they wanted to know how much I am worth before they press charges and have it sent to court. They said it was due to money I owed HSBC from 2003.  I told her I do not owe the money.  I was then told that they "FC and Associates do audits for the IRS and US Government." I told her I had not received any notification of this. She said I owed 2500 and must pay or charges would be filed against me.  I told her not to call me again.

The number was 888-594-0074 ext 328. "Mrs. Jones"

There needs to be laws against this kind of harassment. This company is a scam and the people should be ashamed of themselves for acting in such a manner.

I recieved a message on my answering machine today.  "Mrs.________this message is for ___________'s Girlfiend____________. This is Mrs. Jones with SC Accociates concerning a legal claim that will be processed in my office.  How ever I have voluntery options so this won't go any further legally.  But ________has to give me a call at 888-594-0074 ex. 202 case #290878."  I thought it strange that she left so much information on my answering machine.  I check it out on the internet.  Thank you all for your posts.

Thursday, 4-17-09, I received a message on the answering machine from a Ms. Pohler....
Ms. Puller first said my full name then preceeded to say that she was from a Firm called S.C. Associates. She was one of the processers there and was calling in reference to a complaint that's been filed, she was in the middle of processing and she needed more information from me, she would be in the office until 7pm. Call her at 888-594-0074, ext.365, again my name is Ms. Pohler. I saved the message.
I did call that number and ext. back, left only my name, and told Ms. Pohler's answering machine that I wanted more information about this company and she needed to give me more details in what she wanted exactly before she receives any info.  
I haven't received a call back and don't expect one either. I think this was a phone scam due to the fact that she left me info without really leaving me info.

I keep getting harrassed by this company at work! Is that legal? I will not call back or admit that they are talking to me as I answer...

Call from Mrs Robinson.  A lot of questions are being asked but no one is answering.  Is this a legit company or a scam?

if you google that address through google maps, you get the office building, and that suite is occupied by Ohmite Electronic Company (aka Allied electronics).

Seriously people, whoever this "lawyer" is, they are either a really s****y collection agency, or a total phone scam. If they are a collection agency, you DO NOT have to send them money to clear your debt, you should always deal with the original debtor only.

And you should record your calls with them, and save your messages from them. If they're a scam you can report them to the police. If they're a collection agency theres only so much they're allowed to do,and you can stop them from calling you. Do your research and send a cease and desist certified letter!

I am having trouble trusting this company.  When you paid them, did you pay "SC and Associates?"  What bank did they use to deposit your check?  I am wondering who THEIR bank is, not yours.

received a call from S&C of Altamonte and assocaites telling me to pay a balance on a closed account over 4 year old. This is the second time someone tries to get me to pay. There was another efforta few montsh from Altamonte as well. last ime they only would accept apyment over the phone with credit card. The time before that (from another so called agency from Buffalo NY)they suggested that I'd fo to wallmart and sent the a money order. thsi time they sent a FAX. they provided following address: 238N WESTMONTE DRIVE suite 105-107 Altamonte FL 407 862 2518. they rqeuseted I call Mrs Toler at ext 365.

I just got a call from them.Mr. Symore. He threatend to take me to court and assured me that the court cost would add up and then they have the right to garnish 25% of my wages. He over heard a conversation between my husband and I and he used that info against me as well. I find it pretty funny that Mr. Symore speaks spanish .LOl He also asked me to make him an offer I told him I could only make a payment of $30 or $50 every month. He said his clients would laugh at that and that he needed a better offer.

What a bunch of a***oles. They seem to like scaring peole into paying their accounts. Is it against the law for them to threaten and scare you?

just dont answer such calls......... try 2 call back  using a public or payfone..... ( 2 find out who n wht they r ). never give ur information out.................... best thing is. never answer such calls. pease of mind.............. trust me..

No they are not and you can turn around and sue them for threat court or legal stuff. They are a creditor that buys your bad debit and trys to collect on it. do let them scare you.

I received a call from this number stating that I owed I think it was $1300 and I had to pay it or it was going to the pinellas County Docket and they were going to sue me. I got scared and paid $700. I have been called constantly from this number and I finally told them I lost my job and could not pay much just $100 here and there and they said no that they would take it out of my Taxes. They said with all the fees and everuthing they were taking out $1800 but at this time I only owed $600. They alway said they were from an attorneys office SC & Associates. They had been threatening to sue me now for 2 months. I got fed up with all the phone calls and decided to do some reseach and found all this info. I received a ton of calls from Mrs Jones at ext 361. I am tired of all the calls. Are they really attorneys and why do they keep theatening me!

Is there any way we can report them to make them stop? Who do we report them to? I google their name SC & Associtaes and nothink came up with the exception of a Power company and this person's name Sharon A. Carlson CFCC, CTP. Which I called the number and the number she has on the website under SC & Associates is Disconnected. Received a phone call this morning asking for a different  preson and then asked for my wife. When I asked in refrence to what the call was. The Bi*** on The phone said that I did not know what my wife was doing. I called back and then noone would attempt to give me an answer of what the call was. I Spoke with Someone by the name Jackie Jones who claimed to be the manager. But the voice of the three people I spoke too was the same voice. I will find out who this claim Company is SC & Associates and I will file a complain and or sue them for arrasment.

This company is ridiculous they call me every month telling me they are going to sue me and havent done so! They got over 1000 dollars from me and wont get a penny more. THey better take the money and run. This debt is over 7 years and when I tried to call the creditor about it they have no record of me having the clout card!!!!!!!!! So SC & Associates you can kiss my A$$!!!! You cant take my taxes or garnish my wages. You didnt even provide me with my debt validation letter! The next step for me is suing you for harassment!!!!!!!

They've been calling me about a Clout account that I had back when I first started school, as well. When I first got the account, it was with WebBanc, but suddenly, they disappeared, and then came Clout. But, that was about 10 years ago in my case, as well! The debt charged off a LONG time ago, but they keep re-aging it, which I KNOW is illegal! And different credit collectors--excuse me, "law offices"--have recently started calling me, threatening to sue me, if I don't pay. The original creditor hasn't been on my credit report for some time, but they keep harassing me!

i got a call from somebody there about 3 months ago that goes by the name ms. toler from swanson maze law office, she told me she was going to sue me for my unpaid balance i owed to clout back when i was in school. we are talking about 10 years ago. i of course,i didnt make any payment to her. she told me this was going to go to court for judgement. i didn't care, this thing isnt even on my credit report its so old. i looked them up and found the attorney in orlando. she said she no longer represented them and don't pay them. these people are crooks. i thought it was all over with, i then get a call a week ago from ms toler again! now with s c and associates, come on, these people are just crazy! she told me she never worked with swanson and mace law office. same spill another day, she transfered me to letigation officer mr. chaney. who broke every law that he could! now they said they will take my tax refund!!!!!!!!
wow, i now contacted my attorney. i think we all should start a civil law action suit against these crooks!!!!! what is the world coming to!!!!!!

my name is Jeff Greer I just talked to SC & associates I had a debt owing over $7,300 i worked out an arrangement with this company to pay less than half of the original bal. they settled for $2500. This company is not as bad as all the blogs i have read here if you discuss you matters with them they are willing to help you out of your debt. Since i have paid my dues and the credit report is showing the debt paid/satisfied in full.

I was just wondering if anyone has ever had this company sue them..  I just got a message - from FC & Assoc. - acting as a law office and said they didn't have complete information for me regarding this matter so obviously I was unaware of these proceedings (his words) and he wanted to talk to me before they prosecuted me through my county.

I think this is a debt I owe a different collection agency and I called them a couple of days ago and told them I would pay them, in full, when I got my taxes back electronically and he said that was okay, then pinned me down to a specific date.  

I admit I have avoided them the last two months b/c I've been so poor.  Can a collection agency pass on a debt to a different collection agency?
Why would they do this?  

It's the only back debt I have and they've been hounding me (rightfully so).  While I was avoiding them (the original collection agency) they left me a message, on my answering machine, about 5 days ago and said this was their final call.  Would they then pass it on to another collection agency?  Why?  Because it wouldn't hold up in court?  The amount of the payoff is $192.74.  I am going to pay it but I thought it was odd or I've never heard of this before (one collection agency passing it off to another one).  I'm just curious.

I got a voicemail from this number saying I was being audited in 2009 and why hadn't I reported it to their accounting office?  I had 24 hours to call them.  I was afraid it was something they were going to do with my taxes but after reading here it's just a debt collector and they have no way to do anything with my taxes I don't think.  And when I did try to call back I got a voicemail wanting me to leave info

Confrused have you tried calling your orginal place that the debt was with, Also if you are paying on a debt ask to see where the debt is  being updated on your credit report. I gave them over 1500 dollars and I stopped paying them I wouldnt pay them they are trying to scare you report them so they can stop harrassing you!
