Same thing, total scam. My call was from Melissa Thompson saying they were going to serve me with some legal papers. When I told her: "Go ahead, come on down, I am waiting," she hang up and began calling from every other number in my home. Check the similarity - Johnson, Thompson. Same woman, same people, same scam, same scum.

I just got a all from a man stating my full name and claiming he is calling from the "LCS office" I googled it and it was some kind of a navy ship thing...anyways he was like this is a courtesy call  your documents have been served and you call pick it up or something and gave a reference number ...and the number they called from was all zeros 00000000000 they told me to call back at (844) 808-8912

I don't know who these people are.  I just got a call like the one that you guys are calling.  The problem was that he asked for someone I don't know but apparently has the same last name as mine.  This guy was a real trip.  He tried to be all intimidating and stuff.  What amazed me is that he called my cell phone.

I was called on my cell phone while I was at work about three weeks to a month ago from some man claiming that I had a $8000 debt with a company did have credit with in the past for a much lesser amount but had paid that account and closed it and would be served paper on my job to come to court. After several attempts of tring to inform him that the debt was incorrect and for him to send me the information on the debt so that I could compare it with my credit report be began to get rude with me. I took his number and told him I would call him when I got home. After review of my credit report that confirmed what i thought in the begining, I called him to be faced with more rudeness. I told him not to contact me or have his staff to contact me again.

Well I haven't heard from them again until last week when a processor called my cell phone trying to confirm a address I lived at almost 10 years ago so I could be served with a court summons. The processor gave me a number to contact the sender. I called the number from my work phone (BIG MISTAKE). I spoke with a man named James Davis who told me I owed this same business but this time it was for $3000 and that they are serving papers to have the court place a order to have any money I have in any bank account deducted to satify the debt. I told him I was at work and would call him when i got home. Well after speaking with my banker, I was reassured that that would not happen, I did not return the call.Yesterday 3/13/14 A man named James Davis called my (WORK PHONE) stating that they had went forward with serving me papers because i didn't call him back.

I told him that I needed proof that the debt was mine. He told me he didn't have to prove anything to me and that he had spoke with the legal counsel where I worked and was in the process of getting my work address to serve me paper on my job. I spoke with my Business Law instructor last night before class and he suggested some steps I need to take and I will. I'm sure this is not the last time I will hear from him. But the next time I will be ready not that I have more information and the law on my side.  The number Todd Davis called me from was 213-761-4210. There was a an inital 1-800 number but I discarded it thinking that was the end of it.

We've  received many called from  866-717-6553 this company we were  told it's called "Legal Claim Services". caller ID was blocked "unknown" but we managed to get their  phone # 866-717-6553 the name they gave was Anna Garcia.
When we called and asked for  her, we were told that "there is no one here by that name?????"

They were asking about an employee that worked with us (part time). We have informed them not to call our business line! However,  they insisted to call back again and again.

I got a voicemail from Ted Woodman (didn't even sound like a real person) from Legal Claims Services asking me to call back on 888 987 2775. They said it's an urgent legal matter. If I dont call back in 48 hrs, the matter will turn a civil lawsuit. They gave me a case number.
When I called the 888 number, it was CK & Assiciates. They said it's about an outstanding credit card debt and they are going to file a civil law suit. They gave me the account number and verified all the information they had about my wife (DOB, CC number etc) and said that I can settle the claim by paying 40% of the outstanding balance to avoid going to court.
It might be a CC payment that my wife did not pay. I can believe that. But the tactics they use is not legal at all. It's all about threatening, if not scamming.

Stating he had a summons to appear and to contact 1-800-399-1535 from legal claims service, was a scam.

I was just adviced that this company called my current employer asking for employment verification and letting them know i was being served and to call the number to avoid any documents being filed

The man claimed to be "Stephen Hernandez" and gave a call-back number of 562-267-9788. Same comments as everyone else's.....They were going to serve papers at my address; They had verifiewd my work address, blah, blah, blah. When I called the number, a man answered only by saying "This is Alex". He asked "Is this _________ (my name)? I said yes and he asked me to verifiy the last 4 of my social. When I told him that he already stated that he had that info, he insisted that I tell him. I did not. I then told him that our call was being monitored. He quickly lashed out and said "You do not have my approval to do so". I told him that I certainly did have the legal right to have the call monitored, as his "company" was threatening me. Pretty quickly after that, he said he thought we should terminate the call.  

People......BE SMART!!!!!!! Do not take any action, whatsoever, as these people are worms. So sad that we live among all these slugs. They, however, will get theirs....KARMA, baby!!!

I received a call the same as all of these.  800-399-1535, Alice with Legal Claims Services was looking for my son.  They are going to serve a summons for him to appear in court. He needs to call within 48 hours to reschedule. Told me he needed to speak to a case manager and gave me a case number. I did a reverse look up on the phone number and came up with a PMTV Production Company that makes movies.  I called the number back and a recording answered CK Associates.  Googled that and didn't find anything. Normally I don't pay attention to this type of call, but the first thing she said was that we were the emergency contact number for our son.  That worried me.  After reading all of these other posts, I'm sure this is a scam too. I am getting calls from this company everyday they say they are with Legal Claim Services. The name she is leaving is Jenny Grey 1800391535. She is making threats with summons but I am current on my bills. I refuse to answer or call back. She has the last 4 digits of my social. I am filing a rip off report if anything happens with this and an online police report. I will also file for identity theft. I went through this with another
company recently and had to change all my banking information. This is a scam.

I just got a message from 1-866-739-1300 attorney Richard Lewis. A man called and leave a message saying that I needed to be available tomorrow (3/16/2012) from 8am to 12pm to be given summons to appear in court.
I don't have problems with nobody so I didn't understand who or why somebody would want to take me to court. I went to Google and I found other similar cases. IT'S A SCAM!

I didn't believe it when it happened to me but I almost got taken for all I had and more. My story is the same. Alexis Cruz call, from ODC???,- googled it and couldn't find anything! - from a 657(Santa Ana, CA) number and then called back today with an UNKNOWN number. She wanted me to make a settlement, gave me the supposedly original account number, the facility I had the debt with and told me to call to check it out. I called and the number they have wasn't even one they ever heard of. I checked online to see if there was a pending civil case against me - nope! I even pulled my credit report to see if this debt was listed. NO AT ALL!! I can't believe they are out there doing these types of scams - I'm just trying to live my life. Sure I have some debt and don't need any additional problems!!! I will be filing a compliant with FTC.  Make sure you do the same if it happens to you!

received a call from a blocked number. They left a number and a message that i would be served with papers. The address they left was my sisters 600 miles away. Thirty minutes later they called my job and left the same message with our plant manager.I received the same message in July of 2010 and have yet to be served. I also thought they weren't supposed to leave personal info with anyone else but evidently not. Thanks for all the info at first I thought these people were real but i definitely will not be calling them back. the number they left as a call back was 877-309-5499 and the person to ask for was John Hewes.

Also it was a recorded message not a real person leaving the message....I won't be calling them back......I have had collection agency call me before and they can't by law say or leave messages stating that they are sending a sherrff to you your place of work or home they can not threaten you or call you names... and they sure can not by law give out your personal information to anyone.... they can only leave a phone number and there name for you to call back.

You can stop them cold in their tracks by demanding they send you a Debt Validation letter.  They are required by law to send it - or stop calling.  They won't send it - and you won't hear from them again.  If they contact you again without sending the letter, report them to the Federal Trade Commission.

the only way they can garnishment wadges is if u owe student loans, child support or taxes, at least in texas, if they say things like that they r just trying to get money out of you and could get their own seves sued.

i just got a call from them. the guy didn't give his name but said he was a process server and he was trying to reach me. he said he worked for "legal claims services" and he represented "w p group" and i was being sued for an unknown reason. the only info he gave was a case number that i checked at the courthouse. the lady there told me there was no case and that was not one of their case numbers. i told them that the person they are looking for is not here and lives in alaska because a debt collector can't harass u in alaska or so i was told. they called my work soon after i talked to them and told them they need to serve me, i haven't work there for 5 months, the people called and told me. it may or not be a collection company but they r scum of the earth so they will get nothing from me, i hate companies that lie to get what they want, like wally-world ;)

I received a frantic call from my manager at work telling me I had to call Alexis Cruz back or the sherriffs department would show up at work to serve me.  The number given is (657) 859-4703.  I spoke to her.  Originally she said my debt is $7,000.00 but I could settle out of court for $1,000.00.  I told her I was behind on my rent and had $20.00 to my name.  She asked if I had an offer to make.  I said I could pay the $1,000.00 off in monthly payments.  She refused monthly payments.  Said she would rather get monthly  payments through wage garnishment.  She then suggested that I could make a lump payment of $500.00.  Told her I didn't have $500.00 to give.  She told me I would have to pay through wage garnishment.  Then I called Crescent Jewelers to try to negotiate a settlement and they claimed my account was closed years ago and are not trying to recover the money.  Mmmm a little fishy? . . . On phone trying to get a hold of people to see if I have anything scheduled for serving me.  Just got off the phone and there is no record of any service under my name.   I will update later to let you know if anyone actually showed up at work.

Biggest SCAM EVER!!!!! They are trying to collect a debt paid off years ago, know your SSN and info from your credit report.  Gave fake court summons numbers (verified with my local courts).  They said they tried to serve me but didn't know what happened there... LIARS!!!! They called from number
877-523-9386.  I have no unpaid debt and haven't for years.. FILED complaint with FTC.  They are violating the law on many different levels.!!! Some guy "Tommy" called from 877-523-3986 and asked for my manager.  Trying to collect on a card from household bank that was paid off years ago.  Said they were trying to serve me papers at work but they don't know what happened there.. They are SCAMMERS!!!!!!!!!!
