This is a scam in a way. These people want to charge you a fee for something you can do yourself for free and they can't guarantee that you can retain your position in the listing

When I see an 888/800 number I usually just answer "hello" rather than giving my name (which I typically do since this is a business line).  When I do that, sometimes they just hang up because they don't think it's a business they have called.  The guy on the other end just said "sorry, wrong number".  I do wonder about the phone cloning - how is that possible just by receiving a call?  Seems odd.

Bothered me 9 times in a row before I finally got them on the phone when I answered. They are from LocalLighthouse.com and they are a P.I.A. They hung up when I told them to remove my name from their sucker list.

I have called ID and once this number comes in i disconnect them immediately, f****ng scumbags calling 24/7.

Got the very same canned message at 8:40 pm on my business cell. I am also on the do not call list....this is about the 4th time they have called and when I block the numbers they call from, they text me, which costs me 20 cents each! Enough!

"Phil" (see above) left his robocall message on my home answering machine at 8 this evening.

We are on the state and federal do not call lists.

Except for the false start, this is identical to the message I received on my home number at 8 this evening.

Since they called you, you now have a "business relationship" with them I suppose. That means you should be able to call their toll free number to get answers to your stupid questions about their service. I imagine that they would not like you tying up their call taker and when you take too much of their time, they will disconnect. That then gives you an opportunity to call them again (perhaps to see why their phone call dropped off). After many calls (that cost them time and money) perhaps they will stop calling you. It's a thought.

I just called them and read their script back to them. They guy laughed at about the point I got to "there in your marketplace". I told him the more they call me, the more I will call back. Perhaps I'll robo dial them every hour and repeat the message they left for me. My calls to their toll free number don't cost me a thing. Their cost is at least 2 cents a call and the time wasted answering.

I guess you also could always tell them that you find their calls "sexually stimulating" and that if they call again, you will report them to the police. Who is to say what YOU find sexually stimulating?

just got a call 3:34 PST from this number, i do not answer toll free calls.  glad i checked this site.  i hate these calls.  i'm on the do not call lists too!!!!!  AAAAAAAAAACK!

Got the very same call as transcribed by FED, word for word. My caller was Roberts. He said pres 1 to get information or 2 to be taken off the list. I hit 2 and was immediately disconnected.

Robo recorded call trying to sell one of two places left on the first page of Google.  Scam. Thanks for the update on who they are and the B.S. That they spew.

Received call from this number 2:16 Sept 9 2011.  I am listed on the National Do Not Call list.

Got this one at 3:45pm yesterday and after 10 seconds of dead air, I just hung up. *Sigh*... obviously a robocall and I didn't feel like sticking around for the pitch to start playing. Since the number was displayed on the caller ID, I thought I'd look it up this morning and see who the 'perp' was THIS time. Well, gee whiz, looks like I missed out on that HUGE OPPORTUNITY with Google again...for the 67th time. Every time these bozos call me, I use the 'call block' feature on my phone against the number, but they just call me back a week later using a brand new one (sorry JETAMES). When are these idiot companies going to get a visit from the clue fairy and realize that they alienate more customers than make honest sales by phone-spamming people???

Same message here and when I called back just to tell them to stop calling, was a long hold call and a person came on, directly into sales pitch... hard sale.

Stupid solicitation call for SEO marketing.     Call them back and get dumb apology and attempt to get you to give them your number!!!    Good grief this is tiring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  what next!

I got this at our church. I listened to the end, and was given a option to push "1" to continue or "2" to be removed. I hit "2" and haven't heard from them since.

Same lengthy spiel as noted above. Economic hard times with Americans trying to get 'one over on' their neighbors and fellow Americans.

It's a real shame that there isn't a law allowing all telemarketers to be hunt down on the wild animals they are.

This number along with about a dozen other scammers numbers call me sometiems 4-6 times a day. I have reported it and have since learned how to track the dirty b*****ds! I forwarded my office numbers into my cell got them on line and kept them talking long enough to track location. I told the scammers I was calling some of my special ops friends and tell them their location and ask them to give the scammers some of the same medicine the Seals gave bin laden. Boom and maybe they will be gone!

8:30 at night and I get these stupid calls.  I'm sitting here waiting for news on whether my mother is going to live or die, and I about jump out of my skin when the phone rings.  The DNC list is a joke.

I have had the same home number and the same business phone number for over 15 years and my home and my business lines (both published) seem to be on every call list imaginable.  I bought a Panasonic call blocking phone for my home and I bought a Uniden call blocking telephone for my business.

NO MORE PROBLEMS WITH TELEMARKETERS.   THEY CAN?T GET THROUGH!

We can stop these telemarketers IF we all buy a call blocking phone.
