recieved text msg "Pack all of your things you've won a Free cruise for 2 just contact us now 888-628-4480. txt msg sent from 293-243-0853. I report both numbers.
obviously a scam. have no idea how these people may have gotten my cell phone number.
looks like lot of other people getting same kind of scam stuff. No identifying company

Clearly a scam, no identifying company information.

Got a message from 718-362-7510, call back was 888-228-3498. Same message that everyone else is getting. I used to live in Orlando, so I wasn't sure if I signed up for something I forgot about (I'm forever entering the sweepstakes in various places to win cars, etc).

Got the same text at 6 in the morning from 6013071168. Im in Hawaii so I know its BS.

It's a scam, delete it and forget about it (or attempt to report it, not that they ever seem to do much about those). Scammers don't care about do not call lists, if you get charged for a text message, etc. Yeah I'm sure they'd just love to get a hold of your credit card number for that "purchase of car rental." I got that scam text message on my emergency only cell - very very few people have or use that number, much less someone/someplace that would be entering it in a contest.

On 2 Jan at 3:06 local time, I received a txt msg from (270) 308-1118 (Glasgow KY) with the msg verbatim:
special promo: Your xxx-xxx-xxxx has been chosen for a trip for 4 to Disney/Daytona resort for 7 days, 6 nights with purchase of car rental call: 888-628-4440.

They texted this msg twice to my cell phone, I have VZ as my carrier.
