After filing complaints with both the BBB and the FTC, these calls have ceased.  Hopefully these b*****ds are out of business or in jail.  

Don't give in to these scum bags, they are not law firms or even debt collectors, they are nothing but low life scams. They always use the same scary tactic such as serve you with a court summons to make you pay them. Here are some of the names they use to call people, " Kevin Carlson, Kristi Small, Paul Stevens", these are I bet not even their real names. Remember people, don't even bother when these low lives call.

I recvd a call on my personal cell phone from a Kristi Smalls with Herb Siegal, Attorney at Law stating that I was a reference for a relative and she (Kristi Smalls) stated there was a lawsuit for my relative regarding a bad check and that my relative needed to call Attorney Kenneth Morgan at 888-632-4597.  Kristi Smalls stated that if my relative did not call by the end of today that they would be issuing a summons for my relative at her job and my relative would get a petition for a court date.  Also Kristi Smalls provided me with a case number for my relative.  It is amazing that a so-called debt collector can call you and provide you with this information and you are not the "actual" debtor..A clear violation of FDCPA..These companies should be shut down and the other companies that are selling consumers information should be issued a huge fine as well.  This is harassment and needs to be STOPPED!  Hope this helps someone out.

I got a call from this number stating that a lawsuit had been filed due to a bad check.  When I called them back, they DENIED they made the call in the first place.  The person that claimed to call was calling on behalf of Kenneth Morgan.  This appears to be some type of scam.  It likely is an effort to obtain personal information.  Anyone who has been a victim (i.e., provided them with any personal or identifying information needs to contact local police or law enforcement in their area.

Got a call yesterday but from restricted nbr. They said to call the above nbr. They were just delivering a message for Morgan and schcttler attorney saying they want me to call them or ill be served papers. They said its for bad ck. I dont write checks and I dont even have the bank they said. I have applied for payday loan s in past that's how they got my info. They called my spouse an said I used him as a reference. That I never did! I wouldnt use my husband for a  reference. I told them to serve me and ill deal with it then.

Keep getting calls at home and work and even to my my ex husband from KR Capital - stating they are an arbitration company attempting to settle a "bad check" that I wrote.   Its an automated recording that states your name, then the somewhat threatening message that you will be served with a complaint if you don't call back.  Well I called back and told the woman to stop calling my place of employment that they were a scam and she immediately said "no problem, I have removed your number" and she quickly hung up.  Calls have stopped.  

I keep getting calls similar to the ones above from this number.  My son-in-law called back for me and same speel as others above.  I believe it is a scam so beware.

my daughter called me and stated that Kenneth Morgan, an attorney had called my sister (who I had given as a reference) and I needed to call them before 5pm or there would be a warrant issued for my arrest.

Someone from this number called my work and spoke to my boss.  Said there was a lawsuit against me.  I have no idea what this is about.

I called back and told them not to call my work again, and I said that I know what they are doing is illegal.  The woman on the phone said "Oh, and not paying your bills is legal?"  And then hung up on me.

I call back, and the same woman answers the phone, but tries to make it sound like she's someone else.  I again reiterate to not call my work and if they call again, I will be filing a complaint with the FTC.  I told her that I will discuss what they like as soon as I receive some information regarding this in the mail.  

We will see if they stop calling.

Left a very detailed message on a shared voicemail at work and on my cell.  Very embarrassing my boss called me at home about it.  Said they were coming to serve me at work for a bad check issue.  Gentleman said he worked for attorney Herb Siegel in Memphis.... There is no such attorney.  Gave me the name of another attorney Paul Stevens said maybe I could call and get it cleared up.  I went round and round with This Paul guy and his "paralegal".  Catching on the call wasn't legit and I had never seen anything in the mail regarding this debt I finally told them it was not giving them any money and to ahead and "serve" me.  He said he was sending somebody out.  Needless to say no one ever came.  Beware!!

My employer receivd a call from this number Attorney Frank Davis stating he has a summons and wants me call with my home address so they do not bring it to my work.  Gave a Case # and referenced my Credit Union.  One, it is illegal to speak to anyone but the debtor on behalf of any claim.  He already broke the law.  I looked up this attorney and there are a few by this name in several states but not in the state that I reside or any where close.  My credit union is locally owned, etc.

A Brian Banks called my ex wife,saying he was going to come to my place of employment (I've been retired for 7 years) to serve summons on me for bad check written last year. He gave her a docket/reference number. Said to call 888-632-4597 and talk to Kenneth Morgan with Reynolds and Associates in Salem OR. I called that number and they said they were an Arbitration Company for a BANK and authorized to negotiate the payment. Morgan had ALL my personal info, names of friends and ex wife, and wanted me to pay this today. I NEVER write checks. I have never received anything in the mail claiming I owe them money. There is no such current business entity listed with Oregon Corporation Division.  

Beware. 5 Years ago I got a loan on a vehicle which was repaid in 30 days.  One of the people I gave as a reference way-back-then has been dead for 3 years, and they said I gave that person as a reference last year. That company is long out of business. Did they sell my info to these GD scamming crooks?

I think you have the wrong number listed. We have no affiliation with a Ritter Associates? Nor do we work with debt. We deal in Gold, Silver, Platinum etc.

No, they identify themselves as Ritter Associates and left this number.  it wasn't even my debt, they're looking for a friend of mine.
