I did a reverse lookup on tht number and it  comes up with a chain of drug stores in MN.  It scared the s*** out of me.  It was on my sons phone he just left to move in with his other parent and I looked at the phone calls because I pay the phone biills and saw 4 or 5 calls to this number.  I was glad to find out it was "only comsast?"

This phone number is for activating Comcast's digital adapters after you have received them.

They are probably calling you to remind you that, they are discontinuing their analog signal, and switching over to a digital signal.  What this means is that, if you do not have newer TVs that already have digital receivers built into them, or have a Comcast cable box receiver, you will not have the ability to receive their digital signal, and therefore, not be able to watch your TV,  unless you order digital adapters for them.  You can order three of them free of charge so, it probably won't cost most people anything at all.  

I had ordered three adapters from them on 05/18/12, and had activated two of them on 05/30/12.  I just activated the third on 10/10/12 by calling this number so, as of 10/10/12, this number is still good for activating Comcast's digital adapters.

never leaves a message, rings 3 times and gone, seem to get it several times a month. If they cannot leave a message or ID them selves, the number should be stopped so it does not bother anyone. The FCC is doing a poor job at getting rid of bad calls.

Ultimate Savings Plus has hijacked the Comcast number (888-634-4434.  They say the Comcast Lines are busy and talk you into giving your credit information.  Then they continue to harass you.  I've called Comcast, cancelled my credit card and reported this to the police.  Please do the same.

I have no idea who this is but apparently I talked with them for 29 minutes.

I had a record that I had talked to the same number for 12 minutes.  I called and it was answered by the Comcast answering tree.  I don't remember calling Comcast from this phone.

This is the # that shows on the TV screen when there has been an interruption of service for Comcast.
