Had the similar call from this number that I had a returned check from my bank and they need to collect it.  I knew it was a scam immediately, my bank COVERS ALL my checks!!

What a scam

Got a call from a ms white saying I had 24 hrs to call back to avoid having papers served at my address.

I had the same thing happen to me yesterday first someone called from a restricted number I answered thinking it was my son that's in jail, it was a woman telling me that I was being sued and that they were trying to resolved this issue before it goes into la superior court, she was rude so I hung up they called 3 more times from a restricted number finally on the 4 call a man said he was a courier and that he would serve the papers to me I told him just do your job and hung up again. The 5th call came from 1-888-644-5585 i answered again and this black sounding female (no offense to anyone I'm a black female) couldn't pronounce my first name although its a very popular drink I spoke with and got the same line that they guy was the courier. First of all, If someone is going to sue you they DO NOT have the server try to contact you to resolve the debt, I asked if she could call me tomorrow to discuss this information, she hestitated and said "well we dont open till" and paused I told her call me tomorrow at anytime you open and we will discuss this she then told me it was a payday loan and that I stopped paying on it December 2009, I thought about at that time I was homeless and wasnt paying anything, Im waiting to see if they call back today. I was so scared that I was thinking about paying it until she gave the day. I'll keep you updated should they call again today lol

Dont answer them, and dont be afraid about what they say to you..those people are thiefs, they are desperate trying to collect money fromold accounts that have been paid, or they just want to let you believe that you have an old debt. Then they say will take you to court, or etc...What you need to do is, REPORT them with the General Attorney office, and also with the FBI, and with the BBB, because a real collectors will no say what they say to you by phone, and is ilegal to do that even if you have a debt. I did receive a phone call from 716-989-0830 (is a cell in New York, Buffalo area) and they gave  me that other number in their message 888-644-5585,,,,again dont answer them..and dont let them intimidate you..they are ilegal people, many times 100% scam...

A privet number called me this morning and left a message to call 1-888-644-5575 or they were going to deliver  order actions important papers to my place of work, business, doctors, and all of my know addresses. And that I needed to call them back with in 24hrs to stop request actions and claim numbers to the contact clients. And if I didn't call them back the would move forward with all procedures! They lady that left the message said her name was Miss Banks... Now it got my attention, because I was thinking is was like court papers or something. But the lady that left the message sounded kinda ghetto and unprofessional, like reading from a script. So I looked up the number and found that it might be a scam! So I called the number and the recording said the were Wiseman & Associate.(lol) the lady asked for my phone number and read slowly my brother name. I told her no my bother doesn't live with me, he live in another state. She asked if I had his number or address and I told her no. She replayed "Well then I will take your number off the list" and then just hung up on me!... To me it sound like a bill collector or a scam.
