Got a call from this number(888-647-2816). Caller I.D. said "Toll-free-number". Someone named Jason trying to get in touch with my neighbor about "a personal matter". Wanted to know what time she gets home and best time to reach her. When I told him I couldn't help him and I felt the call suspicious enough for me to contact the local sheriff he told me he was calling from what sounded like "Alliance Recovery". I told him I couldn't help him and asked him to not call me again or I would alert authorities.He was very cordial and did not become rude and said that number would be removed. Is this a collection agency? Are they allowed to contact neighbors of people they may be looking for? This sounds like a nasty tactic to embarass people... I know creditors are just doing their job, but really...
