Bell called again , this time sunday morning at 10:50. Almost answered it , cause I thought the pope might be calling me back to church service.

please remember, if a caller cannot answer you when you say hello,it must not be important.We received a call today from this number,,no one was there,,,so i called the number back,,a message said the number is no longer in service and call 310 BELL instead.I believe this a disconinued number from bell,,the computer program continues to run this number as its programed to do.Our bell bill is in good standing so its not a collection call.

I answer and give them the same dead carrier they often give me. Last call from this number I got a lady who kept repeating hello for just over a minute and getting angrier and angrier till she hung up - the last comment was an angry "thanks a lot". Too funny as they are the same ones who aren't on the line half the time you answer.
Since I do answer and don't say anything (you can hear things like the TV in the background) the calls have decreased significantly in frequency.

I dropped their service recently, they won't stop calling me. $13 - 15yrs ago, $75 now with the food channel. Cheaper to eat out. These repeated calls come from India. Never a Bell Outsourcing Consumer Again!

then why the hell are they calling us up to six times a day for the last two weeks

I have been receiving 4 to 6 calls a day from this number. I don't usually answer any 1-800 numbers.
I called it tonight and found out it is the Bell Canada "Loyalty" department.
They started deluging me with calls immediately after I told them I was transferring my number to Primus Canada. At that time, I also told them that I did NOT want to talk to their "Loyalty" department.
I told them to immediately stop all such calls or I would call the police to report it. I have ALWAYS been on the 'Do NOT call' list but they appear to constantly lose this information OR pass my information on to other telemarketing outfits who don't follow the rules.
Bell Canada is the worst company for this type of behaviour that I have dealt with in many years. I look forward to the day (coming soon) when I have no dealings with them whatsoever.
I suggest to others that they complain to Bell strongly about any such calls (and find other - more responsive - phone companies).

Got a message left on my answering machine. Person did not say who they were, what company they were calling for or what the call was about.
Since I just dumped my Bell phone service for cable phone service and Internet, I assume from the above posts that it must be Bell calling.
Since I do not call back anyone who doesn't identify themselves, I will continue to let my answering machine, screen these anonymous calls.
At least it may give someone in Canada or the US, working for Bell, making these calls, a job for the next year, phoning and getting my answering machine. :-)

...I too have had 4 calls already today, and I only cancelled my phone, internet and TV.this morning...it is so very annoying......to busy to be answering a phone with dead air.....first time with call display, now I check the number and will be complaining to BELL now that I know where the calls are coming from

Correction to the above... Their number is 1-866-317-3382.... NOT ...3383. Since January 15, I got 14 calls from them as opposed to 9 from all other telemarketers combined!

Same problem as all of you got... Researched it thoroughly. Results: These calls are called "dead air" and are ILLEGAL. So I filed a very strongly worded complaint with the CRTC. I then called Bell and found out that I should call their Solution Centre at 1-866-317-3382. The lady I spoke with (Marie) was very helpful and courteous, and called the harassing number. It is their Household Loyalty dept.. Ironically, it's to find out if I'm happy with my Bell bundle!!!! She did instruct them to remove my name from their list. That was a few moments ago. She did tell me that it can take up to a week for the removal of my number to take place, but my number is now on Bell's Do Not Call List.I hope they will indeed cease this practice. If you want to complain in writing, the address is:

Just called them right now - actually on hold as I type this - they are putting my name and phone number on the do not call list. It is Bell, and I guess they are just calling about promotions. Checked my call display and they called FIVE TIMES today between 2-530!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Ugh. Anyways, just got off the phone with them and we are now on the do not call list. Let's hope this works. So tired of the phone calls.

I am receiving third call from this number today and picked it up . Usually I don't pick calls from toll free numbers. It was bell as I just cancelled our internet and homephone with them due to regular and continuous inconsistencies in their billing ...seems their billing agents are on f***ing drugs when they generate bills to their unfortunate customers. From day one Bell is playing game with me but I just let it go because I don't want to switch provider immediately. I was on a no contract 24 month same price plan for internet home bundle. In-spite of their promises they keep increasing the prices from second month, first of all I started paying high price for a lower product. Then started increasing it again ad again. I paid all my bills a week ahead of due date and suddenly they stop mailing my bills for no reason. Calling customer service, they tried to ridicule first saying I asked to switch my billing to electronic, in reality I never called them for something like this and insisting when that request was made he was not sure about it but tried to blame it on me, and need additional two dollars for reinstating by paper bill. Then I asked him did they give me proper credit when stopping an agreed service or part of service, no answer, finally on another day another rep was kind enough to verify the info for and agreed it was not me but somebody forcefully migrated my billing to electronic without informing me. And he is not sure who, and probably it was because I have an email address available my profile. Worst part of it was rarely I received it my email either. Finally tried to their online billing, I was never able to go beyond the first screen. I tried it several times, many different places, but never downloaded my bill. It will popup a screen downloading my bill, waiting for download and then disappear by itself in moments. Bell neither resolved the issue nor send me paper bill. Finally I decided to move, called them, got the cancellation order, surprisingly the issue of downloading bill resolved in moments; which they were never able to resolve earlier, started working. What a magic! Started getting calls to stay with Bell , Sure yes , may be in next life. Sad to say we are not happy with the service bell is providing.

I have been getting daily calls from this number asking for someone I have never heard of. It's Bell Loyalty Program. Everyday I told them not to call me. The next day, I would get a call from someone else.
I called the number back asking for a supervisor. They would not let me speak to the supervisor unless I gave them my personal information. What a scam! BELL sucks!

I just received a call from this number. if this is bell probably an offer will be given to us since we just cancelled our internet and homephone with them due to inconsistencies in their billing ...our homephone has more calls coming from telemarketers and where do you think they get our number? sad to say we are not happy with the service bell is providing.

I canceled my TV service for starters as well as I in the process of getting free? phone service shortly (possibly the company has already contacted Bell re taking over my phone number). This above number is calling 3 times a day now. There are way too many varieties of charges on my bills and the charges keep going up, charges which are too high in the first place for things I don't even want or need like umpteen useless channels.

Repeated calls from this number daily. It's Bell Canada (I find that out when I call them back), but when I answer there is nothing on the line... nothing. Bell tells me that we've been put on their do-not-call list, but it takes up to 30 days to activate? So glad at the end of the month we are switching to another provider!

I too am fed up with their marketing schemes and (with all due respect) very hard to understand accents when I get calls regarding my account
Yes I am late occassionally as I climb out of this bad economy, but talk about making me feel so vile because of my tardiness.
I have decided to switch internet, land line over to a cable competitor - followed soon after by switching my cell phone to yet another provider.
All calls for service, admin etc will be someone sitting at desk in Canada - if not, the U.S.
