Some one is using this number to try to sell "Health Insurance"...  I question how legit this is....

I have received numerous faxes from this company about health insurance. The fax says I have made a recent inquiry about health coverage. I have had the same coverage for 10 years and was not thinking of changing. My phone numbers are on the do not call list and I would like to report this company. I tried to call them to have them remove my number from their list buyt there was no answer.

I asked to be removed from the list, and the guy said "You want extra faxes?"

I just hung up.

I got them too. Today they changed the number to 8886325253

We are receiving unsolicited fax spam that includes this 888#. I called the number they provided to be removed, but no one answers and there are no prompts.

Stephen Ring is my father. And yes he makes a very good living off of these types of law suits, but also handles many other civil suits like drawing up wills, contracts, waivers, etc.

My brother is currently part of a group with a class action suit against a spam faxer. I bring this up because the lawyer handling it does NOTHING else but sue spam faxers. And makes a good living at it. And he does it on contingency. My brother's wife's brother (also a lawyer) collected $10K using this same lawyer.

My brother just gave a deposition to the spammer's attorney. The fax spammer is spending a lot of money for legal fees in this suit. My brother figures he will only get a couple of hundred out of his complaint, but he is enjoying the time and expense it is costing the spammer.

FAX/s about health Care!  Have never contacted anyone about health care. I am an agent myself!  Tried to get through on the no call list - no luck!
These people need to be stopped!  It is a lie and is not fair to us who want to be left alone!  Last Recd. 12/20/07

I got a fax from these people.  I called them to ask to be removed and as soon as the girl answered and I told her I wanted to remove my fax # from their list, she hung up on me!  I called back and asked for the supervisor.  The guy asked me what I needed and I told him a lady had just hung up in my face.  He then hung up on me.  I called back a third time and they hung up on me again!

These people are sorry!  SCAM!  I hope they get caught!

Don't sue them, handcuff and arrest them, and keep them in prison for a long, LOG time.

Can't these scammers please be thrown in jail? Enough is enough! Arrest these despicable creatures, lock the door and throw away the key. Give them one year in the slammer for each scam fax these vermin send out.

I receive unsolicited faxes all the time from these people.  I called the number to not receive any  more faxes and shortly after I started getting all sorts of unsolicited faxes on my machine.  They obviously sold my fax number for profit.  I hope a good lawyer takes these guys to the cleaners in the near future.

another junk fax. if you want to find the responsible party for the toll number calling you, call 800-337-4194. In most cases this will work. I always contact the carrier of the line to let them know that their customer is using their product illegally. Be sure to KEEP all your junk faxes in event the FCC contatcs you

We should enforce the TCPA Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

Agree with all of the posts. We should all report the offenders under the Telephone Conusmer Protection Act (TCPA) and have them fined for $1500 per violation. There are a number of contingency paid law firms who specialize in dealing with this issue. If you search TCPA online, you will get quite a few references.

The guys at the "National Healthcare Company" seem not to respect the law and just laugh at the law. Let's see what they do if they get hit when they are served with a lawsuit in a class action lawsuit.

Received yet another of these unsolisited faxes for health care coverage from National Health Care. Called the number 888-660-5724 and spoke with Austin. Referred me to www.beechstreet.com. Called Beech Street at their contact info and the woman I spoke to said their attys have been working on this for a while. Called National Health Care back 888-660-5724. Austin is a bit of a tool. He doesnt like to be called out. I just wanted to point out to him that he is faxing unsolisted information for health care coverage to a major health insurer. Austin, get better numbers. I will turn this over to my legal department yet again and they can play with it for a while.

We have been turning off our fax machine due to being bombed with junk faxes pushing useless products and services! (read: scams) Unfortunately, we did not turn it off after sending out faxes late last night.  

The *67 code does not block the scammers from seeing your telephone number.  Although it will block your name.  We learned this at my company.  A customer will call on the direct line and it will come up private.  Then they call the 800 number and the number comes up.  We are paying the bill so we have reference to their number on caller id and on our phone bill.

So you are exposing your number to the scammers when you call a toll free number.  Thus, when you call you are creating a business relationship with them and they now think they have the right to fax you.  Also, they will sell your fax number / direct line as an active number which has a high value in the junk fax / telemarketing business.  

Never call these SOBs to get off the list.  These people do not care and will not operate with any sense of moral business ethics.  Complaining to the FCC does work.  Our company has been named in complaints and fines against junk faxers.

Jerks faxed me at my home.  I called them up, after punching in *67 to conceal my number from caller ID.  Talked to a guy in a creepy breathy voice, but DID NOT THREATEN them.  Heard a supervisor telling him not to talk to me.  Lots of fun.

Remember - if you do call any unknown number, especially fraudsters like these  -- always use  *67  before dialing to block your own number !!

Spam FAX --  Since the number is on the Do Not Call Registry, I reported a violation of Do Not Call ....

I have received several faxes from this same phone number offering Excellent Health Care. We have never inquired for insurance of any kind as we have excellent insurance of all kinds and not interested in others.  I unfortunately threw the others away, but this one made me mad. I tried to call the number to stop the faxes but it was blank and went nowhere.  I reported it to the no call registry, the FCC and now posting here. Thanks for your information. Connie

I spoke with these folks and, being an insurance agent, was able to ask questions to have them answer like they knew what they were talking about. Truth was they did not. DO NOT EVER ANSWER ANY INSURANCE AD UNLESS YOU SEE A DEPARTMENT OF INSURANCE LICENSE # ON IT! This is obviously a scam. I checked the California Department of Insurance website and National Healthcare Services comes up, but as an expired carrier back to 2000.

hey thanks for the FCC link.  I called them explained what happened and told them how I was cursed out by the person, apparently curse words are a red flag for the FCC.  They emailed me forms to file a formal complaint against this company and they told me within days this company will be shut down, the number revoked, and fines issued.

I have gotten many unwanted faxes from this number and when you call them and mention fax, the people on the other end either hang up or yell all kinds of curse words at you telling you they can do what they want, that this is a multi-million dollar company, and the governmaent can not do anything to them.Well I say gather up all these junk faxes and send them back to them.  I have been doing this and it may not stop the faxes, but it sure feels good to give it back to them and annoy them for at least a little while.
