pay your bills and you wouldn't get bill collectors calling you.

I got the same exact VM as Anonymous above.  Without a doubt a scam, sounded like some dipship a***ole trying to act professional on a phone when he clearly isn't.

Got a call from this number 888-666-3317 Said he was calling to tell me there had been some Illegal activity on my checking account, press one now to speak to an agent or call the number.

I called my bank. I checked on line too no activity... It is a scam for sure.

I got a vm from 716 712-5422 which left this 888 number claiming there was illegal activity on my checking account -- Gave no company name. I knew right away it was bogus!

Someone (a woman) called and, as the phone was breaking up, asked for someone I did not know.  They told me they were a child support, etc. company and, since I am retired and have no children, this was probably a wrong number.

I received a call from this number. A guy asked for a Brandon (something). I told him he must have the wrong number and he said "what, you don't know the defendent?" I said no I don't and hung up. There were people talking in the background and they sounded like they were driving in a car. The guy called back and I answered again, and all I heard was "hey baby" -- I hung up.

Received a call from this number, unfortunately I was in an area with bad reception so I didn't catch the name of the company. The person who contacted me introduced himself as "Investigator Gerald Stone" and was looking for an individual I've never heard of but gave me a claim number, odd.

"Gerald Stone" was very rude, disrespectful, abusive, and non informative as to what he wanted. My guess is that they are another fraudulent "collections company" calling to see who they can get frantic enough to get personal information. Once I stood my ground and asked questions he hung up.

Later I looked up the number and the company name came up as Whitman & Meyers which I called back and another "Investigator Gerald Stone" answered who didn't have information on the so called claim and would get back to me. Lets see what happens now. BEWARE don't allow anyone to push you around for personal information.
