Different phone #, but pretty sure this is the same "George" I met yesterday. "Asphalt Seal Coating" claiming to be from Edmonton, AB. Businesscard has a 403 922 # (not including the rest in case the local police are working on something) Email is roadtek (plus 2 digits)@gmail.com. This is an EXCELLENT scam targetting small businesses who would benifit from saving money. :(  He was still driving a large WHITE truck with no logos I could see. He didn't look like a bum, and wasn't high-pressure at all. (More like he was just throwing a favour out there, because we have a large chunk of our parking lot in rough shape, so he wanted to 'help us out'). He's a lot like the guys from Matchstick Men. After I posted the "great deal" on facebook in case any friends wanted to save some money, a friend of mine posted an article about someone with an Irish accent named "Pat" doing this scam. (Perhaps this is the brother?) Anywho, they are still in Alberta as of yesterday, Sept 16th,'13. Oh and when I phoned the number on his card to say we'd pass, it sounded like the voicemail said "Vince"...perhaps another alias?

that must be a different person as the one they are talking about has been and is being charged by Service Alberta on several counts of fraud and misleading the public.

He is working in Saskatchewan possibly in the Saskatoon area with his brother Micheal.
He may also be heading his equipment to Ontario.
He has a truck and trailer of equipment in Nisku at present.
He owns 2 new International trucks one pulls the equipment and one pulls a tandem axle pup.
George drives a new red ford 4 door truck.
George stands about 5'10" red hair, average build.

Trying to find out who owns this phone number.

Believe we also were scammed. Company called Highway maintenance Asphalt Services address 9768-170st.edmonton.  Caller said name was Corey!  Not true.  New company Reg. on Calgary,Ab Aug.4/11This man is a criminal and should be behind Bars!  Numerous phone calls to 780-239-8217 netted promises by" Corey" to come back and repair the poorly completed job..To date he has not made an appearance.The comp

George Stewart also operates GMP Road Construction in the same way.  18886682556.  Steals from seniors by going door to door with "one time only", "just happen to be in the neighbourhood", "have some extra materials on the truck", "your driveway is falling apart" kinds of  statements scamming them into having their existing driveway resurfaced with poor material and poor workmanship that will fall apart in short time.  

Extorts money from them by many methods, including starting the work without approval but then telling the senior that they misunderstood but will have to finish and must be paid, overbilling if the work was agreed, filling out blank cheques after they are signed to "help" the senior, confusing them about what they are getting.  

There is no business address, a seemingly fake GST number 130075039, no traceable information whatsoever.  Take down the licence plate number on his blue and white gravel truck, or the long trailer behind (if the plates aren't stolen) but DO NOT HIRE HIM but do stall him while you call the RCMP.  He will threaten you so be careful.

George Williamson Stewart operates a scam contracting company offering either driveway sealing or tree spraying.
Unlicensed, fake GST # on invoice, multiple arrest warrants outstanding in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba (Canada).
This is the phone number on his invoices and business card ... it's fake and no-one will answer. Beware.
Better yet, stall him and call the cops.
