Also received this call from "Paypal".  Called Paypal with number given on their website to contact them, which is not the number that was left.  Said it is a scam.  DO NOT CALL 888-674-2557 back, report them!

I received a call from this number and they left a message stating they were calling to thank me for opening my recent account.  I contacted Paypal to make sure no one opened up a duplicate account in my name, and they said there wasn't another account.  I didn't call the number back, and wanted to make sure no one was using my number/name.  

I don't know who/what it is, but I'm not ever answering or calling them back.

Received same unsolicited incoming call from 888-674-2557 with an automated message of a femail voice that went to my voicemail that they are PayPal and thanked me for establishing a PayPal Account recently and that i did not need to call back. But if I wanted to, I can call 888-674-2577.  
My PayPal was established a long, long time ago. I didn't call back.

I got a call from them and they left a message welcoming and thanking me for signing up. I been with paypal for about 9 years now so I thought it was strange.

Called the number on the paypal website not the number they called on and they said its a spoof. They would only contact you if you owe money or need to take a survey.

Do not call this number and if you answer dont give out your info because its not paypal

I got a call from them saying it was a courtesy call from paypal. At first i thought they were trying to say that i owed them money, but apparently they just wanted to call and thank me for using the service. The lady on the other line then proceeded to ask if I had any questions. I said no, and they thanked me for my time.

Weirdest call I've ever gotten, i've had the account for months now

Received an unsolicited incoming call from 888 674-2557 from someone purporting to be from PayPal.  They asked for me by first and last name.  They thanked me for establishing a PayPal Account recently.  

They did not ask for any other information.

I next phoned directly to PayPal on the actual PayPal Contact Us number from the website and PayPal claimed the incoming call number is not theirs.

I called it back and got PayPal customer service center.
