I received a call from them and they left a message.  They disclosed very personal information on an answering machine which I believe violates HIPPAA laws.  Not sure exactly what its about but they acted as if they were attorneys and threatened something about my employer and my home.  Said it was a civil matter.  Hopefully will find out next week.

yup same here for cashnet and they called me and said I had a civil complaint against me meaning someone said I caused them bodily harm...so i called them back and sure enough it was a cashnet bill not a civil suite..grrr scared me to death...so i cut a deal over the phone but never got an email or comfirmation of my bill status..I called back after two weeks and he hung up on me ..i called back and got music..i called back again and he answered me...he said he would email me my info but I still havent gotten it..still worried I got scammed I punch in this number..and here I am now still thinking I got scammed

I also recieved this call, and no they are not scamers,  i had an outstanding balance with cashnet and requested them to send me first the propersition agreement where i would send the payment and no legal mater would follow, they did and also lowered the payment amount for volentary paying the dept. it is a trusted collection company, but i agree with the rest of the comments they should not intimidate or scare people with taking matters to court and charging for large amounts of money.

No its a threat and according to your rights you can sue them. Its Illegal to call and impersonate a legal entity. They are a collection agency, not the law. Search the Web for fair debt collion practicesact and get informed. Hope this helps.

do they really send your info to have a warrant send to you

Recieved call from thos number identifing themselves as legas but they are afp collectors whp threaten to send your case to Tarrant County for a warrant

I have received several phone calls from 888-682-7475 saying they are collecting on a debt owed to cash net.Was informed that a law suit would be filed against me if i didn't send them over 1400 dollars i told them i didn' have that kind of money so could i make payments. they said i could but they need my account number.I told them i didn't have an account so they told me to get a prepaid card at wal mart. I have been hearing so much about scammers i'm afraid to send them any money. Does anyone know if they are scammers?
