Telemarketer
ABI PUBLICATION! Beware of Jasmine Wilson.  They are a complete joke trying to scam businesses.  When you get them on the phone indicating that you owe them money, or if you receive an invoice from them and they keep requesting payment, tell them the following (...and have a little fun with it!):

1.  Ask the rep how Francis is doing.  Francis Onassis is the president.  Tell them you went to school with them and that you always had a HUGE crush on him.  Tell them you want to have his children and that you fantasize nightly about him.
2. Tell them you love them over and over and over again until "I love you" become the answer to every single one of their questions or statements.
3. Break out in song.
4. Start talking in another language.  Even if you have to make up the language and start babbling Chinese.  Why not, it sounds funny and I'm sure the person on the other line will think it's funny too, sorta.
5. Start asking personal questions about the person on the phone and I mean get REALLY personal.
6. Just say no, no, no over and over again.
7. Ask them how you are supposed to take them seriously when they are posted ALL over google, at the BBB and at the FTC as a bunch of telemarketing scam artists. And that each of these agencies has advised against paying them any funds because then they'll have your banking information off the cheque. And try laughing while you talk to them.

Whatever you do, don't EVER say the word: yes, OK, um-hm or anything that can be manipulated in a taped phone recording to imply your agreement with any policy or selling feature.

I used to get calls, faxes, and mailed invoices from these idiots all the time.  The last time they called I mentioned that I would like a copy of the 3 day "Right of Recission" that I would have had to sign to make the contract binding.  I never heard from them again.  Check to see what the laws are in your state but when telemarketers solicit businesses offering them services, they fall under the same regulations as in home sales people, and in Illinois they must have you sign a "Right to Recind" or cancel the sale.  Usually it's 3 days but can vary from state to state.  If you didn't sign one, the verbal contract isn't binding.

Daryl Mahoney from ABI Called.  Said we owe him on past due invoice.  Said we did not agree that order was ever place.  He said he had verbal confirmation.  Told him that can be manipulated.  Asked for previous payment to be returned he said no he would refer our business to legal dept & tack on finance charges.

I received a call from this company (ABI Publications) followed by an invoice for $749. The caller (Jerry Adams) said that I had paid their last invoice in October 2007. I checked my canceled checks and there was nothing for ABI Publications. The Better Business Bureau says that one of their other names is Info Chase. I do remember this company, but there isn't a canceled check for them in October 2007 either.
