My experience with this number when I answered it, got a robo asking for my name and to press 1. When I pressed 1, the phone did not recognize. So I now just ignore them. This happens every time they call

I have received many hang ups from this number 888-689-2289. I finally got to speak to someone and it is Tiburon Financial out of Ohio. He also wanted me to verify my social and all kinds of crap without telling me who he was and where is was calling from. All he kept saying was that he was calling on behalf of his client. When I told him to go pound sand he finally decided to tell me he was calling on behalf of Wells Fargo trying to reach a settlement on the loan I had defaulted :( 2nd on mortgage, but that is another story.

This number has called me many times I haven answer but one time I did fist thing he said his name was Larry and that he was looking for me but I didn't answered back.
I wonder how they got my number ? Maybe from buying thing from the internet ? ....

Got a call from this number. He knew my name and my wife's name, but to "verify me" he wanted me to tell him my birthday or last 4 of my SSN. He didn't identify what company he was with. He said his name but I can't remember what it was. When I pressed for my info, i.e. what company are you with or why are you calling, he started to re-iterate his name and that he needed to verify who I was first before he could tell me anything more. Very frustrating, I hung up.
I called back, someone answered on 1 ring and identified himself with Tiberon. It was a different person than who had called me, but someone still knew who I was and about the conversation I had. That, and the fact they picked up on 1 ring with no prompts, etc, made me suspicious that this was all a scam. I am seeing similar stories on: http://www.pissedconsumer.com.
