Folks, just log into your Xcel Energy account and remove yourself from getting more info regarding the "energy saver" program.
Or as many have suggested, use their automated do not call option.
yes it's anual if you have the options selected on your account.

who owns this number?
Margaret Johnson 2013-05-29 23:09:24 Unknown
Getting calls almost daily. This is new number for me. Only used to check/report when microcell fails so there should be no record of calls out except to AT&T. So I'm not sure who is being called. The one time I answered there was no response. THEY NEED TO STOP!

I get a call from 888-689-9304 almost daily. MAKE THEM STOP!

First off, according to http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0108-national-do-not-call-registry your number remains on the list until it is disconnected basically. However:
"Placing your number on the National Do Not Call Registry will stop most telemarketing calls, but not all. Because of limitations in the jurisdiction of the FTC and FCC, calls from or on behalf of political organizations, charities, and telephone surveyors would still be permitted, as would calls from companies with which you have an existing business relationship, or those to whom you?ve provided express agreement in writing to receive their calls. However, if you ask a company with which you have an existing business relationship to place your number on its own do-not-call list, it must honor your request. You should keep a record of the date you make the request."

Totally helpful! I loved that you don't even have to talk to someone to place yourself on this company's do not call list.

Yeah, I've been getting calls too. I just called them back at that number and was able to put myself on a do not call list. Thanks for the info!

Got 2 calls today from Xcel Energy. Funny part is that they called me at work. I work for Xcel Energy. Here is a company that knows how to spend their customers money wisely.

Xcel Energy about their Saver Switch program. Took the above advice and called the number back, listened to the message and had my number added to their Do Not Call list.

This is Xcel energy. Call the number back and it will allow you to add to their do not call list. Very simple. 7/10/2012
DJ1365 2012-06-21 22:21:47 Unknown
It's silly! You'd think Xcel would be able to tell from my utility bill that I don't have air conditioning and so no reason to get on the summer savings plan. Waste of my time and theirs.
WJ 2012-05-23 01:02:43 Unknown
Came up as Toll Free and left no message.
Gary L. Steward 2011-09-13 22:33:46 Unknown
Answered by mistake, but no one there.
Kathy in Littleton 2011-09-07 18:49:58 Unknown
I also did as suggested and called number. The automated system allowed me to add to the do not call list. Took about 10 seconds! I'm looking forward to no more calls from this number!!!!!!!

Yes, its Xcel Energy.
Promoting their Saver Switch program.
Called the same number back and went thru automated menu; added my number to no call list.

With information from above posts I called the number back and added my number to the do not call list. Problem solved. Thanks to Ronnie, Recardo,, Mike, Pat and John etc. I placed this number on the national do-not-call list some years ago. Does anyone know how long that is good for? .
Mike 2011-07-09 10:35:16 Unknown
Turns out that is Xcel, really simple to follow the prompts in their system to put your # on a do not call list.
Ricardo 2011-07-08 01:11:01 Telemarketer
The number is Excel Energy's Saver Switch program group. Call the number back and an automated message system will play and give you the option to be added to the do not call list.
Thanks for sharing this info, john (above message)!

MrAudio 2011-05-20 20:15:04 Unknown
I called the number back and did indeed add my number to the "do not call" list. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy...

We keep getting calls from this number, coming in at odd hours of the day and night. There is never any message left. If it really is EXCEL energy calling - can't help wondering what they believe they are going to accomplish by calling and leaving no message!
Ronnie 2011-04-27 23:39:54 Unknown
Yep - same here - just call back and listen to the message and it will give you an option to add your number to their own do not call list
jim in colorado 2011-04-27 02:16:52 Unknown
I got the call today and yesterday. I didn't answer. I also read that it might be Excel. Annoying.
Rob 2011-04-19 13:22:25 Unknown
They've been calling my cell every day and sometimes twice. Once I answered just to tell them to cut it out, and there was no one on the other end -- not even a machine. What is the point of placing calls like that? Do they really think they're going to sell anything that way???
