These calls only come after you report a problem. I think you can opt-out if you choose on the voice menu when you make the call

Then it should show dte on the id and would b alot more business like to leave a message.

I got a call from this number on my cell.  They asked if I would participate in a DTE survey about my recent call.  I told them I didn't know what they were talking about and the guy hung up.  

Was calling asking how their service was (just sold my house and cancelled DTE)

Rec'd another call from this # as usual they did not leave a message.

Rec'd 2 calls from them within a couple of hours today.  The did not leave a message.

This is a DTE Energy customer satisfaction survey. It took me all of about 3 minutes. I am a DTE customer and do not work for them, never have. Lighten up people. If you REALLY do not want the phone to ring, unplug it from the wall, or better still go get a $10 throw-away tracfone. When it starts to get garbage calls, turn it off, drop it in the trash and go buy a new one. So simple a cave man could do it.  OR you can go buy a call blocker like the DIGITONE (google it). This is the option I chose. It works GREAT! And no I do not work for them either.

A review of some of these postings i.e. calls to childrens phone and at odd hours indicate that DTE is abusing our trust and goodwill.  These obviously are not business calls to benefit the customer, rather they are considered nuisance calls by those who get the calls. Any  hang up without clear identification of the call is suspicious   Busy work for DTE so THEY look good at  our expense, in my case literally at my expense should not be permitted and is offensive.  I am going to complain to the State Attorney General.  I recommend that others posting here do the same.

i got 3 call and when i tryed to find who it was it said no name that is why i went to find out who it was  i used to have my bill taken from my checking ever y month and last month they over charged me by 200 dollars instead of refunding my money they keep my money and all the checks that i wrote all bounds like a rubber ball they will not be able to take any more direct depoist from my checking any more thumbs down

I doubt that they knew it was your 12 year old daughter...Stuff happens...

Whoever called, it was my 12 year old daughters cell phone so if it was DTE she is NOT a customer of DTE and DTE was never given her number. DTE has our home number so they should be calling that number not her cell.

I don't have any affiliation with this friggin' company, So why then are they calling me? The DNC doesn't work for anyone but the government!

If you are a customer of DTE, they are allowed to call you even if you are on the Do Not Call list.

If you do business with DTE they can call you regardless of the national list.  You need to be on DTE's do not call list.

Got a call - did not answer - caller did not leave voicemail

No message because I did not answer the phone.  Caller ID states:  Toll Free Call.  If it is DTE Energy just say so!

Received call          9/5/123pm est.  Did not answer.  No voicemail left.

Its just DTE's Customer Satisfaction calling to find out if you were satisfied with the recent service they provided (e.g. restoration of power, assistance with billing etc).

For everyone complaining about the do not call list, if you do business with a company they are exempt from following that list. Check the law yourself before shouting that they are breaking it. Also, do not call works for cell phones regardless of what a few have said.

It was DTE Customer Service Survey. I returned the call and got the same msg to that effect as others have noted. I pressed 1 that I wanted on the Do Not Call list, and 1 again when they repeated back my phone number to be sure it was correct. We'll see.

I also called this number back and it is a survey for DTE Customer Service, it does say press 1 if you would like your number taken off, and I did , it then repeated my number and asked if this is the number I want put on their do not call list, I again pressed one, it said it was added to their do not call list, time will tell. lol

We lost power over the weekend, and when I called DTE to report it, I left my cell number with them as a contact as we have internet landline and that eventually goes out without power.  Got a call from this number this morning on my cell so reading these posts clears that up for me.
