they call on cell phones also

I am so sick of picking up the phone and no one being there to talk to you and they expect me to wait for them.
I now answer the phone and if they don't speak within 2 seconds, I hang up.  Now with my at&t caller id on the tv.. I just pick up and hang up on them. This needs to stop. I do not own Comcast money, I never had an account with them.

That national NO CALL list is not working... wasted time calling that too.

Please stop calling my families phone numbers....I owe nothing to Y'all and want the harassing phone calls to stop!

EDIT: I returned the equipment to the actual cable company not the people calling me.

hmm I've been getting calls from them to.  When I called back they informed me I owe 700 dollars to fidelity cable.  The lady on the phone said it looks like I have there equipment still after I cancelled the service which made me realize I did... I went and returned the equipment which fidelity said was worth 700 dollars.  I called them back after and they said my debt had been cleared since I returned the equipment.  I have not received a call since I returned the stuff, not to sure how much of a scam it is...

An edit to the above message: the name they provide sounds like "Wendy Moffcanniss." If this is an actual person - I do apologize... But I thought it prudent to include this name, in the event this co-called Consumer Protection Association is using an invented name - in which case someone else who's getting these awful robo-calls might recognize the name.

So-called Consumer Protection Association makes robo-calls to my home several times a week - sometimes multiple times a day - from phone # 888-745-3191. They all say they're calling for some unintelligible-sounding person (sounds like 'Wendy Mofgeller'). They say if this is not 'Wendy Mofgeller' that I should call 888-701-1043 and ask to stop receiving calls. After a zillion calls I finally broke down and called. Wish I hadn't - now not only am I still receiving these robo-calls, but new robo-calls, most recently offer 'thousands of dollars in grocery coupons,' along with annoying fax machine calls. I hope someone tracks these jerks down. Just want this annoyance to STOP.

Everyone get smartphones, create a SPAM contact, add all of these numbers to it and block it.  For added relief, ditch your landline.  I kept mine for years just for the fax machine but now use MetroFax online.  You don't need a landline these days for anything but taking SPAM calls.

They just called me this morning 9:32AM 06/11/14.
I -just- got this new number 3 days ago. I have not even gotten around to updating my new number with Comcast yet, so there is no way they could be calling me. And, I do not owe Comcast anything...

Continious harassment

Comcast debt collector.  I don't have comcast and never have.

They call my multiple times and don't leave messages. This is harrassment. It needs to stop.

They are going to be upset when we DDOS their scam of a business. Ask them to send you PROOF of the debt. Many times they do  not even have an address. Im sorry folks but if I owe you then I am certain you would have my address. This company is NOT LEGIT. They will be shut down by a DDOS attack within 72 hours. Youre welcome!

Caller I.d. Said 888-701-1043, message said to call 888-745-3191 and that this was an attempt to collect a debt and any information would be used for this purpose. Missed the company name. All I know is that I am not delequent on any bills so this is either a wrong number or a scam. Never give out personal information over the phone unless you are sure of who they are. I'm blocking this number. Good luck to the rest of you!

This number called twice in two days claiming to be a credit protection service.  Could hardly understand the computer robo message, but they wanted me to call them back and gave a long series of numbers, to be referred to as "my account number."  Don't have time for the foolishness; send a letter with something more specific.  Don't want to have to call them to be removed from their calling list when already on do not call list.

Glad to see some on this board are taking actions against these and a million other annoying b*****ds that call on cell and land line phone.  Congress has to do something to stop these increasingly annoying time wasters.  I have to leave my home phone turned off because of all the calls.

I spoke to the FBI about these calls most of them are just trying to get information out of you like your drivers license number or your social security number so they can run other fraud will say you owe a bill and wants you to pay with your debit or credit card over the phone without ever giving you a copy of a bill well I get calls from these people 3 to 5 times a day for Comcast I live in Tampa Florida comcast is not in Tampa Florida we have brighthouse so good luck with trying to get ahold of me I have caller ID I know not to answer your calls and I have reported you to not only the FBI but the fcc and communication agency  so good luck have a great day

I keep receiving calls from the company - no messages - just calls.

This appears to be an attempt to get your name, social security number, address, etc. If you call and get a person they will  not give you any information but will start pumping you for your personal information.

can't be connected to Comcast cause I'm getting it on my track phone as soon as I activated it.

I just got a track phone, within minutes I started getting calls. there is no way they should be getting access to this number, especially so fast. I have and will not return the call or answer it. If there is a link to a government site that is addressing this please post.
