They called my work number and the recording said urgent phone call with my name.  It gave me the number to call. When I called it, it said my payment was past due and if I already made it to disregard the call and then it hangs up.

Never said who it was and there was not way to get an operator.

Its just Jersey Central Power and Light.

I got a call from this number today. It would be very odd if it were Jersey Central Ppower and Light, because I live in Washington State.

Its peoplepc. They never leave a message

People PC was calling, cause I called them back, that's how I know.  The recording asked for a Mr. MacDonald, but that is not our name.  I waited for the option that says, "...or if this is the wrong number, press...blah", but there wasn't one.

they left a message--It was peoplepc.com----I called them and e-mailed them 4 months ago to stop service--2 months ago they were still charging it to my card--closed account- stopped that crap---now they want payment for 4 months--filed a claim with atty general-- they just don't know the meaning of NO--these people are parasites--didn't want it--notified them- they must be desperate !!

Left a message stating the call was urgent and for <insert name here> to return the phone call.  It's a call reminding us that the bill is due, prior to a disconnect.  No-Duh.....still have 8 days before bill is due.  Sigh - so impatient when THEY want something, but it's a different story when the customer needs something!

They left me a message, but did not sat who they were.

They are calling to remind me that I owe them for power. No duh morons.

Same here, left an urgent message with no identifiers, only the number.

Same here, "urgent message" with the computer saying my name.  No company name.  No way I owe anyone any money.

called, left me a general message to return the call.  Sounds like a 3rd party collection agency, since I'm not from Jersey... I'm from Ohio.  The only debt I have is 2 credit cards with small balances, so it must be for one of them.
